When I've called they've always taken care of things. I've used it for my washer and plumbing issues. I had air conditioning problems and they had a problem getting a technician but finally after a couple weeks they found somebody to come and take care of that. When my washer went out they wanted to bargain so they could pay the cheapest rate on the washing machine.

Our hot water heater stopped working on a Saturday afternoon. I called and I couldn't get choice home warranty get anyone over until Monday. I had to wait almost 2 days to get the repair. The service man they had do the repair did a very good job.

I have to say Choice Home Warranty is the very best in terms of talking service compared to other warranty companies. It's so convenient for me to submit a claim online and then I get an immediate response whether the claim has been processed and the technician has been assigned. Ever since I've had a choice, everytime something breaks down, they sent someone out here. For instance, my dryer, they sent someone out here to look it over. The first person didn't do a good job, the second person didn't realize that the dryer was covered. When we do call, they try their hardest to find someone in a quick manner to come where I live in a rural area. As far as my dryer goes, it took about a month to get it squared away and they didn't give us enough money to replace the dryer. They did give a little but I had to add more money to get a good dryer.

The price is lower than the one we had before it. Customer service is always very helpful and answer the phone right away. Our microwave broke and we had someone come right out to look at it but we weren't happy that they just offer money as compensation instead actually buying a new product to replace it and we had to negotiate the price.

It was offered at a reasonable price compare to other warranty companies. There are some things that are just part covered and it is really weird that it's not covered. I had one bad experience where my air conditioning wasn't fixed properly and they had to come back out three times and on the third time they said it was not covered under the warranty. When the drain stooped working the person they sent out was very good so maybe the contractors are at a higher level now.

Usually when I make an appointment, it's within twenty four hours, but they don't accept so many of the problems in the house. The people that they have come to the house to fix things, they have to call Choice Warranty and Choice Warranty says it's not covered. They've been able to fix the toilet ten times and the problem is the same. I keep paying $45 every time they call and fix the problem, the problem is still there.

We had a bad experience the first time and a good experience the second time. We needed to use it for an oven and that was the first time. Our oven was a built in wall unit and they couldn't fit it so we wound up having to pay an additional $1700 for an oven because the only amount that they paid wouldn't even fix it. The second time we had them come out to fix our dryer and the guy that came out and fixed it, it only costed us $60 for the visits and no parts. It was very good.

We had some problems this summer with the air conditioner and I don't feel like it was handled right. The call went out on Friday and they couldn't get anyone here until Monday and it was 94 degrees in our house so we had to stay in a hotel. The gentleman that they sent out did not speak a word of english. I don't know that he knew what he was doing. He had a helper with him that was his translator and they decided it was the motor and he just reached up and cut all of the cords off without even seeing or thinking about it. Then it took him five times to put the new motor in and to get it all wired. He said everything was fine and then the air conditioner went out again in the middle of the night so he had to come back out and he wasn't happy at all about having to come back out. It took two tries to fix it and our electric bill went up thirty some odd dollars from having it run so hard to catch up with the temperature. He said he would talk to Choice Home Warranty and he obviously said nothing was wrong and they said they would not replace the part. We weren't treated right and the guy didn't know what he was doing and Choice Home Warranty did not come to us, they took this man's word that there was nothing wrong with our system. I don't know that I'm going to renew it. We've had them out here to fix the over and it's a combination microwave and convection oven and every time it goes out, they send someone out here to fix the microwave and it's not what is needed. They can never get that right and the guy that comes out doesn't work on those so we start all over again. There is a problem in communication.

The only thing is that they put in the request twice and I had to pay it twice and I was upset about it. CHW is OK for minor things, but there are so many exclusions that sometimes it seems pointless to make a claim. For example, recently I had to replace the ballast on a fluorescent light in the bedroom closet. The electrician came out, checked, then said it wasn't covered. He then showed me how to replace it myself. Took about 15 minutes and cost less than $20. No rational reason why something like that is not covered. I contacted CHW and never got an explanation.

This last experience with Choice was far better than our previous experience. Our first experience was with a washer that died. We had to fight very hard and long to get replacement value. One experience was awful and one was great. About 7 weeks ago I called because my dishwasher quit working and 2 days later they sent a tech out and he told them what he thought was wrong with it. They said they needed to order a part and then they would be back and fixed it. They have never been back and they haven't called me. I called choice home warranty about two weeks ago and told them this so they called the vendor. They told them the part was on backorder and they'd be in the next week. That was two weeks ago. They never called me to tell me this. Another time my hot water heater went out. They sent a tech out on a friday. He came out with the part Monday and fixed it and by Monday evening I had hot water.

My customer support person has not called me back. We used the warranty for a hot water heater that was failing when we moved in. They helped us and got us a plumber who has not helped us. Choice supplied the equipment but the plummer has as of yet not called us back. I wish they would have more representatives in my area to help me instead of a single one that's hanging me out to dry.
