Takes time to schedule inspections based on contractor's schedule, then approval for repairs and then schedule to complete repairs. None of the contractors have been local and no recourse w7hen they do something wrong

the fact that you waste time with a forced buy out after tech sent out , final buy out accepted is at least 45% less than needed to replace range of equal options and removal of old. In addition, forcing me to buy at lowe with gift card that will take 30 more days to get is inconsiderate, unbusiness like and different than competitors. I have 4 children and make 3 meals a day without a stove!!!!!!!! would not recommend choice, and considering canceling my 3 policies. VERY DISSAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!! Yes amazing in the worst way

Where should I start!!? They take forever to schedule an appt, once they find a contractor, they send out a (false) appt time frame that isn’t confirmed with the contractor. So, you sit around waiting for a 6 hour time frame that’s not even scheduled (may even be the wrong day!!). You pay a 75$ fee, even if they can’t fix the problem for whatever reason (too old, broken, not covered…there’s always an excuse). No organization, no follow thru, no attention customer service, etc etc. So, unless you have nothing better to do with your time and money- do NOT use.

The assigned technicians for 2 different appliances left repair issues unresolved. The AC repairs were denied because they were “maintenance related. The refrigerator water filter was not fixed after a couple of visits and is still not working.

It is difficult to actually speak to a representative until one has to argue with replacement value of an appliance. What it actually cost to replace an appliance, is far from what you are given to replace it.

Most claims are rejected, and when they are accepted, the job may not get done. Service technicians seem more interested in the $45 they get for showing up, than in completing the repair. Good service people refuse to work with choice home warranty. I have wasted so much money with this company and I am still waiting for the technician to return to replace the display on my oven.

I liked the service contractors they worked with like Sears. I did not like how they evaluated which systems to approve/deny. Some of their customer agents needed further training.

They just waisted my time, I waited almost 3 months for a tankless water heater and send 6 different companies but weren't able to make it happen because they wanted to get paid first. This company doesn't pay them. If those companies are lucky they get 40 to 50 % of their jobs. Also with a house heater it say it will be cover. Then on the exclusions say it doesn't cover what is broke in your heating system 🤔. It's like saying it will cover nail 1 to 4 and 6 to 9. But excludes 5 and 10. Horrible company

I am very unhappy with this service. It takes days for someone to get out for the service call. I just had a plumbing issue and I paid for a plumber to come so I could get issue fixed in a timely manner. I would never renew contract.

They came out and the problem was not resolved and I have called Choice home warranty back twice and have been told someone would call us to set up appointment. Going on a month snd no one has called us or set up another appointment. The company that Choice claims the appointment is with has no record of a repair order.

My hot water heater died and I contacted choice warranty for service. It was 2 days and they were unable to find anyone to come help me. I had to contact a local company and had the hot water heater replaced. A day after I paid $1400 to have the hot water heater replaced I received an email from choice telling me to find my own technician and all this paperwork I could have the company fill out and to send pictures. It was too late. I had it replaced at my expense. In this instance the home warranty came up short and I am very disappointed.

First, the AI woman was an idiot! Had to repeat and repeat myself. Finally tried to book on line. Also a complete disaster as the site doesn't let you write what the problem is, making you chose from a drop down menu. So I called. The guy I spoke with I believe English is his second language. They didn't inform the plumber that they needed to call the tenant, not me. It's a rental. So they call me and say they are on their way. Told him to call tenant. Apparently he showed but wasn't happy about the snow on the sidewalk or something and left. Complete disaster, top to bottom.

Choice advertises service in 24 hours. It’s been almost 2 weeks and we still a technician has not been here to access the problem with our dishwasher. Whenever the technician does come it will then take another delay waiting for a decision and action taken to correct the problem. It appears that more technicians are needed to keep up with your 24 hour commitment. If that’s not possible, let the customer contact a technician that can work with you to correct the problem in a reasonable time frame. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED in your service!!😩

The repairman could not reach anyone as it was President Day. He said no other solution other than to make another appointment for a week later. That meant another week without a refrigerator. I really believe that a solution needs to be found when it is an important appliance. That must be used each and every day. This is the second or third time that I’ve had a problem and I have 12 policies with you with either refrigerator, heater, or air conditioner. There must be additional solutions for these problems to be solved.

My furnace developed a leak and they sent a HVAC that came early November. The vendor said I needed a new furnace and CHW refused saying the part would have to be found. Even though it was a very old furnace. The vendor says they finally found the part and are missing a piece to install it. This is now going on FOUR months later, and I am still waiting. When I contact CHW, they simply say you have to contact the vendor and wish you a great day. The vendor can’t do anything without approval from CHW so you see the dilemma…

Kept making an appointment with a plumber who wasn't qualified to work on the particular issue. I pointed that out right away but they insisted it would be fine. The plumber kept cancelling the appointment for the same reason, but I got absolutely no notification about the cancellation, and several times waited at home with no one showing up, wasting taking the day off from work. It has cost me more in lost work time than it would have cost me to just pay for the fix myself.

In the last month every claim was denied approval for fixing and then when I tried to appeal it my case managers never even responded ton emails or phone calls. Some one else would, but it was only a denial service. So paying for some one just to say that its normal wear and tear on items but then denied service. We canceled our policy. We had never ran into this issue before. So not sure why everything getting denied now. And what I consider normal wear and tear on items isn't considered normal in your terms so just seems very subjective.

This company is difficult to get ahold of and there's no easy way to dispute/appeal a claim. They do not deal in emergencies, however, every item you'd need a home warranty are emergency items (hot water heaters, AC units, stoves, etc). Inevitably it takes so long to get this work completed it'd be easier to just pay for it yourself rather than dealing with the aggravation of using a home warranty.

This is a scandalous, underhanded, lying, deceitful company. You do not want to do business with under any circumstances! My 23-year-old AC unit finally bit the dirt. No thanks to the second Tech they sent out, putting the wrong capacitor in, and blew it up !! Second tech told me thats what caused it to burn up. And they blame me!! Seriously this company is more than pathetic. I would say that they are totally worthless. But then again they can always be used for a bad example!!

It is difficult to get a claim processed. Two weeks when your washer is not working when you have a family is too long. No response when it is -35 Fahrenheit and your heater is broken and Choice does not reply. Then when they do, they send, a 'were sorry we weren't able to help you ' email.

They will not fix my ice maker. Their salesperson conned me into renewing my contract telling me their new contract covered more. I asked for cancellation & he refused. I cannot get service, one service company insisted I pay my co pay on cash. I refused, he insisted. I took a picture of the cash & documented the serial numbers plus I have my written receipt. It’s the worst company possible. My ice maker still isn’t fixed. When I get water from it, it’s full of ground up plastic.,
