I have a dryer with a small crack drum inside. A Contractor from IHN Professional said the “Drum” needed to be replaced. Now, CHW says they won’t cover the claim b/c of caused damage! What in the heck is the warranty for? Due to wear & tear its damaged. I’m so fed up with these Home Warranty Companies……Can’t ever recommend them again!!! We/nobody caused any damage to a dryer drum, All Wear & Tear. Terrible Customer Service to a Veteran

In a word, this company sucks. They are rude. They sold me a home warranty and when I needed service, they wouldn't cover some of the issues. So, a repair I ordered which should have cost me the service fee cost me almost $500 to get the work done. And when I complained, they were no longer the friendly company that welcomed me, but they became this rude, argumentative group that formed a circle to protect their people. I will say that they refunded the balance of my contract very quickly.

Well it's been a one month now refrigerator's not working. Keep playing games telling me they need to refrigerate. It took 22 days to complete my claim. Filed on 4/11/2023 The first technician that was sent from Oahu appliance & refrigeration, came on 4/18. He never followed up or submitted the info needed. Choice finally sent A&E on 5/3. On 5/4 choice offered a settlement. My washer was down all that time! If I ever have another claim I won’t accept Oahu appliance as a technician.

We filed a claim March 23, 2023 because our heater was blowing cold air. As of today, May 3, 2023, we are still waiting to have the replacement installed. After several weeks we were approved for a new unit because the old one wasn’t repairable. Now the company hasn’t been able to get delivery of the new unit. This seems an excessive amount of time to be waiting.

Not worth the money. Save your money into an account just for repairs so you don't have to pay thousands and then $65 for each claim. They only take care of small claims, anything big like HVAC they consider it 'pre-existing.'

I am not at all happy with Choice Home Warrenty. I am in appeal because I chose reimbursement and they don't want to pay my claim. Depending on the outcome of the appeal is whether I will cancel with them or not. Now I understand why they can not get people to do work for them, they are quick to take your money but refuse to pay claims without a fight. Not a good or honest company at all. I wish American Home Shield was in Alaska. I gave them a 1 star because I had to, if I could I would have left it at 0.

I've only had one issue so far, with covered equipment (ductwork), and Choice Home Warranty improperly denied my claim, even though I've already made several monthly payments. I had to pay over $1500.00 for the repairs out of my own pocket, which makes me wonder whether I should have signed up in the first place. I'm seriously considering cancelling, but I sent CHW a message first about this issue, and I'm still awaiting their response, before I make my final decision. At this point, though, I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

no immediate or dedicated person to speak with. Telephone calls are answered by someone who possibly works from home in some other country. Never refund the true value of the replacement. Pay the vendors very little meanig that no vendor will be faithful to Choice and could do shoddy work. Many vendors are fly-by-night operators. They do their business by means of automation - computers and voicemail

Made me wait 13 days without a hot water heater, no empathy when a big problem arises, they just don't care when your major appliances break and cause other issues (like leaking under my flooring). I want to work with a company that are human and humane. I will not be working with them again.

If I could rank them in the negative, I would. The salesman was great at his job but not entirely truthful and all was well until I file a claim. The second contractor who completed the work was great and the only positive interaction that I had. I only filed the one claim and it took 55 days to complete the repair of a shower valve. I discovered a financial mistake in their favor which I have pointed out three times now through two different emails with no response from the company or individual. They owe me money.

CHW could not repair my gas dryer so offered to replace. CHW replacement ‘cash/credit in lieu of’ was not enough consideration to replace even at a lower valued gas dryer and had to come out of pocket.

I called and told the agent upfront that my sprinkler pump is not covered in my contract. I had my outside faucet that is also not covered, replaced through supervisor assistance . I wanted to do the same with the sprinkler. The agent verified my address twice and told me three times the sprinkler was not covered. Every time she said that, I said I kew, but I needed to speak with a supervisor to arrange the repair. The third time she hung up on me when I raised my voice saying I needed to speak with a supervisor.

I accepted the funds in lieu of replacement on April 18, 2023. Since the gift cards are electronic, there is no justification for this to take 30 days. This is simply an action on the part of CHW to hold onto funds longer to earn interest but at the expense of their customers. I have been forced to go to a laundromat for 2 weeks already and don't see why I should continue to be inconvenienced due to the greed of CHW. Karen

Choice Warranty did not uphold their decision when I appealed to their representative regarding whether my required repair would be covered before I agreed to have the repair contractor come out to examine my repair need on my faucet. Subsequently, I was left with paying a copay of $85 to the repair person without getting my faucet repaired. I needed to pay someone else to fix it at extra cost to me. Reneging on a decision is totally unprofessional and irresponsible.

My A/C broke, it's been 9 days and it's still not fixed. Choice Home Warranty (CHW) decided that they did not believe their own technician, and that the repairman did not prove to them that a new evaporator was needed, as per Brian (a supervisor in the call center). They sent another repair person who provided the same diagnosis, evaporator failed. Then they order the wrong part...to m ake a long story short tomorrow will be our 10th. day without A/C. In whose book is this great or even acceptable service?

Steer clear of this company. They refuse to fix our dishwasher & instead are offering to pay not even half of what it would cost to replace. They state they will only pay for what it costs them to replace but refuse to order it for us or replace it and instead will give us the money and make us replace. $249 for a $650 dishwasher, seriously. You also cannot talk to a manager or even get in contact with them. Aren’t willing to help in any way. Definitely pick a different home warranty.

When we call to explain that our issues are not fixed, all we get is “you have to submit your receipts”! We CANNOT submit receipts because no work has been completed! We are getting very frustrated because the company working with us can’t do the work until they get approval from choice home warranty and the warranty company wants receipts for work that has not been completed or even started! It is very frustrating and has been difficult to work with them.

Even the people who come to inspect or repair say they are horrible! I pay for the highest warranty they have. Terrible company to deal with. Dont give them 1cent. They do not truly take care of your problem, more often than not Screw you with finding a contractor, then after he is done, they refuse to pay their share.... On a scale of 1-10 Id give them a -50. If they contact you, NEVER DO A MULTIYEAR WITH THEM. They will offer you 5 yrs for 3 yrs cost .. but since they do NOT live up to the agreement...its 5 yrs of payment for nothing. Want proof look up Choice Warranty on Facebook.....Open the group andvread the thousands of people that THEY HAVE SCREWED!

Accused me of taking the refrigerant cover off causing the compressor to go bad on my a/c unit. When I explained no one has been on my roof since last year when I had the same symptoms I was asked so you have proof our technician did it, my response so you have proof he didn’t. I quit them, demanded my prorated money back and am contemplating becoming one of the many with a lawsuit against Choice since it cost me just shy of $7000 to have my unit replaced. My advice, steer clear of choice home warranty!

We have not made any substantial claims after paying almost $2,000.00 for a plan. A supervisor actually tried to make it seem that we have gotten our money’s worth for a repair of minor items, light switch which a was repaired in a shabby manner, repeat calls for a dishwasher and garbage disposal that wasn’t repaired properly the first time and few running toilets.
