Called to cancel the warranty I had been talked into yesterday after I found out they were under litigation by the Attorney Generals from both Arizona and their home state of New Jersey. Fast talking salesperson tried to counter everything I said and basically would not take no for an answer until I caved just to get her off the phone figuring I would just send an email to cancel. Original person that sold me the policy was the same way.

I renewed my 5 year contract after I was assured that Choice purchased several companies and the list of vendors to do work had increased tremendously. After many calls and waiting 20 days! Yes TWENTY DAYS, I called. They were rude and made it so difficult to get through to someone that understood english that I cancelled. Liars, cheats and rude. I would leave zero stars if that was possible.

My air conditioner out the 1st of July when it was 118 here in Henderson, I am a 77 year old with major health problems and 2 12 year old cats. I was on the phone with Choice every day pleading with them to get me a new one. Finally got it 32 days later after the weather broke. I think this was border line abuse . My thermostat never went under 97 degrees for 32 days. Everyone I talked to thought it was unacceptable. I am paid up for 3yeats and then I am dropping them. Save your money I wish I had.

This company looks for any excuse to deny your claim. What’s the point of having a home warranty coverage if they’re not going to fix it and worse you get charge $65 for them to tell you they’re not gonna fix it then you have to hire a contractor to come out and fix it. This company sucks. I will not be renewing my warranty and highly advise anyone else to run as far away from this company as they can.

I liked the quick response by the electrician . What I didn’t like was Choice’s rejection of my claim, accusing me of “failure to maintain” my home’s electrical system by somehow allowing a ceiling light to fall out of a cracked junction box.

I had a serviceman come out twice for my leaky furnace and because it wouldn’t stay lit. He didn’t even look into why it wasn’t staying lit and made the leaking worse. And ever since the last time he came, it has been making an awful sound. He said if he comes back again it probably won’t be covered and I will have to pay out of pocket. I don’t understand why I would need to pay when he never fixed the issue. This is why I have not renewed my warranty. Very disappointed that this is going to cost me even more money.

This time they have given me horrible service, they do not answer my texts or my emails, it is very difficult to communicate by phone and 2 times they cynically hung up on my calls, also when I have managed to have other conversations, they simply say that it is not their department that can help me, they just tell me to call again. I honestly believe that they are trying not to take responsibility for my claim # 21145633 for $1460 and I think that their strategy is to tire me out so that I forget and withdraw my right to be paid.

During our last claim, the part needed was back ordered. While waiting for the part to be delivered, the company closed our claim. To get it reopened and the part actually installed they required us to pay an additional service fee. The customer should not have to pay twice due to backordered parts! I requested a supervisor call me, they never did. The agent on the phone had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. AVOID!!!

I would definitely not renew my contract. They put you through the wringer with HVAC and ultimately deny most of it. You can appeal and that is a nonsense formality. They say “no” immediately. Ultimately, you pay for a year contract and then end of paying out of pocket for all their denials. Save your money and plan for appliances breaking down. Do not give them your money . Also. They send some questionable repair people, deny your claim and then you get ripped off because you are at this sketch repair persons mercy. Save your money and find a good appliance company who is honest.

Don't know if it's worth the money, so far a 65 dollar charge every time they come in, have repaired the same AC unit 4 times and it's still not functioning. This last time been waiting for 3 weeks with a unit not cooling in 104 degree weather. Called them repeatedly and seems like all they want to do is avoid the expense of replacing the unit, and probably going to deny the claim to replace anyway. Would not recommend them at all and after this unit issue resolved going to cancel.

I recently renewed my account. The charge was supposed to be $465 but I was charge $710 in total. I received a $210 refund finally but it is still $30 overcharged based on my conversation with champion in the resolution department. I’ve been texting with my contacts for over a week now still without a resolution if you can’t get it right to the $465 I want a full refund ! And cancel my renewal. Not amazing.

If there was a negative star rating I would chose that. My tech is great and would highly recommend his service, however, choice home warranty is the absolute worst and we will now be shopping your competitors to find a better solution. I've never seen a company run so badly and charge me a total of 400 dollars just to get a simple hot water heater serviced.

Our Air conditioning went out and the company took an entire month to approve our replacement despite the inspector recommending one from the start. They kept dragging out the process, attempting multiple repairs to our unit and in the meantime the AC actually flooded our basement with condensation. Did I mention it was July? Customer service wasn't helpful, and the contractor they sent to our house said that they are very unreliable and he actually has trouble even billing them for services.

I am completely disappointed and quite perturbed with the level of customer service provided me as a new customer. I am still waiting for a dryer repair nearly 2 mos. later. The vendor is Sears Home Repair. Between both companies, I have only been able to reach a live person to try to resolve the problem ONCE and the automatic call back feature has been unfulfilled. I will be canceling the warranty immediately and would appreciate a human being contact me to explain the reason for such poor customer service.

The Technician was great! Choice Home Warranty, not so much. I was told that someone would come out to service 2 different times and this has been 2 weeks after the claim has been put in. The Te hnician who serviced my dishwasher said he wondered Choice Home Warranty didn't not contract him to repair both, because that was his expertise. He actually had to drive up from VA. Beach to do the one job, even though both tickets were placed at the same time.

Had to elevate my situation to a manager and he said he would make sure that the issues would be resolved, and I would not have to pay a service fee again for the same issue. He assured me he was updating the notes while he put me on hold. As it turns out, I was charged another service fee. I called and spoke with another manager, and she said there were no notes on my case. I am done with this nonsense.

I have 3 times called and put a claim in online for a 3rd service call on my dishwasher. The first time the wrong contractor (electrician not plumber) tried to call new back. The other two times NO ONE contacted me at all. I finally gave up and just bought a new dishwasher. I'm sure thats what they were hoping. I will tell everyone NOT to use this company for warranties. Choice does not cover what they say in their contract. When it does not intend to pay for the repairs, it simply tells you repair is not covered or blame the consumer of misuse. I have friends who have experienced the same.

Filed a claim for a repair on our A/C on July 13th. CHW has sent 2 technicians to do the repair but neither were authorized to work on Carrier units according to them. I have paid 2 service calls fees ($150) plus $250 to a local A/C company to get the A/C working temporarily since our temperatures have consistently been in the high 90’s! The last technician sent by CHW looked at our unit but never returned and would not return calls from me or CHW so the whole process has started over while we are still waiting for service!!!

I picked Choice because I was told it was the best home warranty and since I'm on a fixed income, I could trust that they would help me save if I needed their services. My 1st request was denied, my refrigerator has since quit working & now I have to rent one. With my water heater, the company they chose added almost $600 in extra fees ie: heavy lifting fees , code fees, disposal fees (which I had no opt-out option) That was my extra electricity & medication money. I'm currently not pleased at all with the quality of service I've received.
