In November of 2021 a Plumber sent to my home by AHS added an additional charge of $400 to the repair that he performed. He claimed the additional cost was was authorized by AMH. After reviewing his invoice and comparing it to my contract with AHS I found that the $400 charge was in error. After several phone conversations with AHS about this issue I have been told that my case was referred to "The Escalation Department." It is currently over three month since I payed the $400 and I'm still waiting for a reimbursement. I've made numerous inquiries into the status of this issue and have gotten no response!

They have been I believe now for tickets written to four different companies none of which have been able to rectify the issue. The repair company did an excellent job of fixing my drainage issue, however, the delay from the time I initiated the service request from AHS to when the company completed the repair took 3 days. I actually had to call AFS to find out the status of my claim instead of being updated from them.

Concorde was sent out to fix the two burners in my oven. The guy was Unlicensed and had many complaints filed online. He did nothing. My garage door opener went out November 17, 2021. They have sent two guys for a total of five visits to my home. If the garage door is not opening and closing at the time that they get here they can't replace it because they don't see the problem. I paid $100 the first time it was not fixed. And I paid $100 a second time and it still is not fixed. The guy who came out for my dishwasher fix it in one visit he was excellent. They are a mediocre company at best. They monitor what the person can fix and cannot fix where is a reputable dealer that has come out that many times would have put a replace my garage door opener

Very good service. Had a claim for a washer, it could not be fixed, they got me a brand new one. Have had issues with my heat pump, technican was out the best day and corrected my oroblem fixed within an hour.

On lime scheduling is good but if you want a specific repair company that you have used in the past and need to call customer service the oversea's representatives are awful. Hard to understand and if you ask to speak to a supervisor or a US based representative they will NOT allow you access. This is a horrible way to work with US customers. During the middle of Covid, we had a breakdown of our washing machine. It took months of attempting to resolve this issue. We seldom call in anything, but when we do the need to have a reliable service respond is necessary. AHS failed I don't want to hear excuses about Covid, because when AHS wanted their money for my contract their reps were readily available.

The contractor came out and found a wire at the back off, but my oven when I tried to use it still wasn't heating up like it was suppose to! With an oven thermometor I set the oven at 350 and the oven never got higher than 350. I called AHS back and told them and I had to do a video of the inside of my oven and show the serial number/model. I couldn't hardly understand the girl I was talking to and got very frustrated with everything I was having to do since I lost signal and had to start over again. I didn't have to do all this the first time I called and they sent out a contractor without any problems, so why did I have to do all this on my second call for the same oven and the same problem?

One month and a half with a leaky fsucet. You finally sent another company.i ask for help and your reps did nothing. You finally sent a company to fix it. We've been with AHS for years. And we had to replace our heat pump that has been in the house since 1979. There was a crack in the line and needed 3 pounds of coolant which is not malefactor anymore so it is quite expensive. We decided it was time to upgrade the old heat and AHS did not help us replace it or give us the value for it. I would not recommend AHS to anyone else.

The company working on it is understaffed and overbooked and there's a 20 minute hold every time you call. Didn't order enough parts the first time around and so difficult to make appts with them. I was not happy with the contractors that were chosen for me. I had an appliance replaced. Once the appliance was received it took over a month for delivery and installation with the contractors failing to show up, lying about the appointment date, lying about installation, and various other reasons. It took 5 different appointments of me waiting around all day, before it was installed. When AHS was contacted they did not seem to care at all. Poor contractors can cause loss in business. That company should be replaced.

Although I believe AHS tried to be responsive, it took over a month and three visits from the repair company to get our dishwasher fixed. That's a long time to do the dishes by hand. I know that parts needed to ordered. I just wish the service company would have fixed it as soon as the parts arrived instead of always waiting two weeks for the next appointment. Still, I know everyone was doing the best they could.

It seems to me that American Home Shield ("AHS") is trying all possible ways to avoid making repairs to reported items. I reported water leaks from our Kitchen sink's drainpipe; AHS denied water leaks from the Basket Sink citing it's not cover under the Contract Section F4. I believe it's not covered if "caused by freezing or roots", which is not applied in my report; I sincerely request that AHS to review and have my reported Basket Sink leaks fixed at an earliest opportunity, as this had been reported since Decembet 04, 2021.

I recently renewed my contract and purchased the new Shield Platinum. The agent stated that EVERYTHING in my home was covered by this plan. I had two new repairs, one to fix the washer, the other was to fix the jacuzzi tub in the master bath. Washer fixed with no issue, good job. Jacuzzi tub was not covered under the plan and that was not resolved until the repair person showed up at my home and said I cannot fix this. Here is were it REALLY went side ways. They want me to pay the co-pay for the repair person which I am not willing to do and I am still in the process of chasing down that refund. Today, is ten business days and still not received. I will cancel my contract if this is not resolved and I have been a customer for five years. My other HUGE point of frustration is the call center. I find it extremely difficult to communicate with any of their employees.

I had a really bad experience with a recent plumbing claim. The plumber lied about completing a job and also broke my toilet and lied about that as well. AHS chose to believe a 25 year old technician instead of listening to the homeowner and policy holder (me). Lady at AHS pretty much told me that I was lying and that she had to believe the technician because they are the professionals. Took several hours and multiple people to get partly corrected. I still ended up being out almost $500 out of of pocket for a new toilet and install with no resolution from AHS or the plumbing company.

The current practice of only scheduling only business days is problematic. I have a water pipe leak that occurred Saturday morning and Im not able to reach a plumber. Previously I had no heat and had to wait about 5-6 days for a repair and it was very cold. The coverage is excellent and I appreciate the insurance but the severity of the issue to be repaired should be taken into account.

My recent experience with a heat pump repair is that they would pay $190 and I would pay the difference which was > $1k. Due to edge of the unit, I proposed replacement and they would pay for 50% and I would pay the difference. The answer was no. I have had the heat pump replaced and paid for it. My opinion right now is not good because I'm wondering why retain their service if I need to pay out of pocket for repair and/or replacement. This is my first request for service and I have been paying almost a year without any claims.
