Just started a plan with AHW, so it is a little early to know how the company operates. The salesperson was very eager to get my business and explained all the costs. No issues so far.
First of all I would like to say that my claim WAS resolved by J. G. My first claim started out a little rocky, because of a misunderstanding as to what the actual issue was with my Jetted Tub. Originally a covered item was not authorized. However, when I reached out to Mr. G, he fully handled everything from there. He followed up with the vendor, who was originally thinking it was a jet port, that is not covered. Mr. G explained to them that it was an easy access ceased motor, which WAS covered and then immediately authorized. Mr. G submitted my corrected claim to the proper vendor, who came out the following day and removed and replaced my Jetted Tub motor. Both the vendor making the repair (First Response Plumbing/Nathan) and Mr. G EXCEEDED my expectations. Mr. G kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. I give Mr. G 5 stars and AHW is lucky to have such a diligent customer support team member.
Worst home warrenty company ever! I have had 2 claims with this company and they have denied both of them. My home is 14 years old and very well maintained. I had switch from American Home Shield that I had for 10 years. They were not the fastest at getting things repaired but they never denied a claim. Amazon Home Warranty is a scam, don't buy go somewhere else!!!!
Microwave went out, filed a claim and was told i would hear from a technician in 1 to 2 business days... it's now day 4, I called and this very rude lady, she give me every excuse for not being able to find a technician, blamed it on the virus, "we're all in this together ". I called a repair company, they told me they could be here by end of the day.... Get my drift..
AHW Contractor came out for service call. Did not put dryer back together and reported wrong diagnosis. I hired independent contractor for 2nd opinion. He found that AHM contractor did not properly put dryer back together and AHM now tells me that they are not responsible and will not honor claim.
This will be my 4th day without hot water and I still haven't been contact by anyone to fix my water heater. I followed up 3 times yesterday and was told a manager would contact and have yet to receive any kind of response.
Horrible - the worst company i have every had to deal with. Bought a home warranty for 2 homes. Tried to get a tech to service a dryer. Took over 4 weeks. We still have yet to receive our claim reimbursement. Cancelled our 2 home AHW and continue to get charged. Spent over 2+ hours on hold and still have not spoken to an individual to assist. No escalation path and no human to help manage billing. DO NOT GO WITH AHW!
Slow customer service. Refused to cover the replacement of my hot water heater. Had a PVC pipe burst, water was pouring out, had to use the shut off valve...called AHW they didn't offer same day service, wanted me to wait a day or two without water until the claim was issued..told them I couldn't have my family go that long without water and I would call someone....paid out of pocket, AHW reimbursed me less than half of what I paid....do not buy a policy from them
I have had them for a year and they are FRAUD. 100% Fraudulent. I have a BBB complaint open for months. They say they cover A/C failures, but they do not. They will deny your claim, make you jump through hoops, then deny your claim. then they will go back-and-forth and if you keep pushing you will have some rude person call you back and tell you "I will keep saying your claim is denied, I will not listen to you until it gets through to you we are not covering your a/c repair". If you go with these people, you will spend countless hours arguing with them and in the end you will have NO COVERAGE. Do not believe their claims. They deny everything and even their own contractor said the same thing, as he miss-diagnosed the system to support them denying the claim. I had an a/c go out. They sent a guy out who said it was "tape" and he wouldn't have done it that way. AHW denied the claim based on "faulty prior work". Said i could get a 2nd opinion. I did. It turned out the condenser coil had failed due to age and was leaking. They left the guy on hold for an hour after they said to "send pictures of the unit then have tech call in". AHW said they would call him back. They never did and denied the claim for "rust". I called back in and said when are you going to call him back? They said they'd have dispatch call him and me. Never did. I finally called and they got a "supervisor" who called me on the phone and said "I am going to say this repeatedly to you until you hear it and stop calling. Your claim is denied. We don't want to listen to your tech or call him because we have made our decision". I opened a BBB complaint with all of the supporting documentation. They wait until the response period is about to expire, then reply to the complaint with useless exclusionary items. "After reviewing the techs report and the images sent by the tech, as per AHW terms this claim was denied correctly." NO WHERE DO THEY SAY HOW IT FITS THEIR EXCLUSIONS--and you cannot take a picture of a leaking evaporator coil that is in the closet and inaccessible up in the inside a/c unit. It's impossible to do, but yet they claim they have "reviewed the pictures" 1.Systems Plan A. Central Air Conditioning Systems NOT COVERED: Filters; condenser casings; registers and grills; water towers; humidifiers; chillers; electronic air cleaners; window units; non-ducted wall units; mini-split wall units; gas air conditioning systems; water evaporator coolers; swamp coolers; evaporator coil pan; condensate pumps; thermal expansion valves; all exterior condensing, cooling and pump pads; disconnect boxes; roof mounts, jacks, stands or supports; cost for crane rentals; electronic, computerized, and manual systems management and zone controllers; commercial grade equipment; refrigerant conversion; leak detection's; water leaks; drain line stoppages or drain pans; maintenance; rusted and/or corroded coils; component short to ground; noise without a related mechanical failure; improperly sized units; air conditioning with mismatched condensing unit and evaporator coil per manufacturer specifications; or improper use of metering devices (i.e. thermal expansion valves).
Lead me your imagination for a minute. A water pipe in your basement burst, causing significant damage. Because plumming is covered by your contract, under "Covered Items," you call Amazon Home Warranty they inform you that they cover all pipes except steel pipes - - read your contract! Their contact is a deep swamp of deception. They were unable to supply an electrician in Winston-Salem, NC, a city of 400,000 because they do not have a licensed electrician under contract. I wonder why they won't work for them? Run!
NOT AMAZON!! Do NOT use this company! They come up with new reasons for NOT paying the claim! They took my payments and 6 weeks into my policy, past the 30 days grace period, my pool and filter needed to be repaired. They claimed it was "denied " because it was a "pre-existing condition "!! It's a Hayward DE Filter!! It just died from normal use. Even after 2 independent companies came and wrote their opinions, they STILL DENIED my claim! And they are the sole arbitrator and have the ONLY & FINAL decision regarding the claim!! The customer service is horrible and rude! Even they can't explain why they won't honor the policy!! Don't WASTE your money. Find a better company! Read and heed the ⚠️ WARNINGS!!
Been over 2 weeeks I submitted a claim on a refrigerator that stopped cooling, and I had to go and hire somebody and pay for it myself. They also try everything possible to not cover the fix trying to label everything even functional parts such as the cooler control panel as a wear and tear item. Their claims managers will only speak with the technician and it gets shady once they start talking to them asking them to remove them off speaker to ensure the customer does not hear everything so they can try to not cover the cost of the repair. Been having to eat out for over 2 weeks now and Amazon simply does not care.
I signed up for amazon home warranty was told there was a waiting period and then I’ve never heard a word from you since! You took my money and never sent any communications on the program. Nothing ? Am I even active? How would I issue a service request? Who knows because you sent me no emails, no mailer packets, nothing!!!

Terrible service had repair man out on July 10 th he said he ordered part called him 3 times and texted 4 times no response at all cashed my check and never fixed ice maker it’s now August 25 th and still not repaired
These people are terrible and they basically give you the run around. Been contacting them daily and they just apologize if they decide to respond. Been having toilet issues and they assigned me to a person that never showed up. I wouldn't recommend this company at all because they come off as a scam more than an actual business
I authorize a split payment 2 weeks apart. You fraudulently took money from my account that I didn’t authorize. Then get a run around. Totally unprofessional.

Very nice sales person. New to AHW myself. Was a full time residential real estate agent licensed in the state of Arizona from 1981 to 2017 and used and recommended Service One once they got into the warranty biz, that later became One Guard, First American, Old Republic, Fidelity, 2-10 and rarely American Home Shield except for my first few years in the industry as they were always refusing repairs saying pre-existing conditions despite professional home inspections indicating all covered items functioning normally at time of inspection, prior to closing of course. Never ever had clients report any problems with any other warranty companies.
I just started this policy it will take affect on 26 September 2020 when I have actually file the claim I will write another review letting you know how you’re doing. However Mr. James C was quite helpful in his introductory to this program. Thank you
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! AVOID IT WITH YOUR LIFE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THIEVES. Central AC system- They sent a guy out that didn't know what he was doing cause he broke my unit even worse then it was before and it caused more damage. They sent out an "expert" that recommended a new unit due to the damage from the first guy. They're making stuff up to avoid replacing my unit. It's been 22 days since the beginning of my claim. This heat is killing me. The actual paper work from the Expert states that the unit needs replacing.

The call came in when I was involved in a dispute with the company that we currently were using. I had filed my first claim with them and then found out that they actually don't really cover things fully in their plan. They only pay a small amount of the cost to repair or replace whatever is broken or totally unusable . They get an estimate from the tech who looks at the problem, and then they meet with 'the board' and decide how much they will reimburse after I pay for the repair. I have cancelled that policy and have to wait to receive a refund. I have now purchased a plan from your company and feel more hopeful that if I have a plan with you that I can count on it to take care of the problem.
