I really appreciate that they respond quickly but technical support is not always very good. It depends on who is on the other end. Sometimes they are very knowledgeable but sometimes the person does not know what they are talking about. Also sometimes they don’t tell you something is about to be updated and the system just goes down.

Reliable and sensitive, if I would sneeze on the glass break, it would set it off. I like that if I accidentally set it off, they call right away. I like being able to do things with the camera. I never have any technical issues.

Best feature is that it uses regular batteries. We don’t have to pay exorbitant fees for batteries. We had a company give us an offer for a lower price and Vivint matched it. It really has the best pricing. We’ve had them for twenty years and we’ve been happy.

The system is easy to program and to access and it is easy to troubleshoot. The service people have the knowledge to help. The equipment is standard in design and reliability but it has a lot of state of the art features and outperforms other companies.

We were hesitate to switch companies but glad we did. Like that we can see video activity. We have recieved calls when smoke in house was detected and even we didn't get to disarm the alarm on time. The other company wasn't reliable.

Have a lot of times that it does not record or it alerts that someone is ay door and no one there. I would like to figure out how to set it for viewing and checking area when not activated in away mode. Needed it one night when I was home and someone broke into my property. Why would we not be able to view at different times when we are home and alarm not on. Should not have to have alarm on at all times when home.

Experience has been positive. I like the ease of use, monthly use reporting, and system messaging when something needs to be addressed. The only disappointment is the short battery life of the glass break sensors. System was installed approximately 6 months ago and already need to replace batteries on both units.

It has worked as expected so far. We've only had one issue where our alarm went off while we were not at home. An agent called my fiance and told him that Vivint had already sent someone out, but later, we were told that you hadn't and if we wanted to send someone out that we would have to pay. When I got home, I could not see that anyone had broken into our house, but it did raise concern about what would actually happen if we needed services and how reliable Vivint would be in that situation.

I just feel safe when I have the alarm on. Whenever I have problems or anything, they're out here within a day to fix the problem. If my alarm goes off, I get a call automatically asking me if I want to send someone out right away from the police and I tell him yes or no. It's quick.

I like that I can monitor what's going on in my house at a distance. Whenever I have an issue, it's no problem to call and get the correct information to resolve my issue. Customer service is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. I haven't had any issues with any of the equipment. I think it's worth the money.

Their customer service is great and I've always had good luck and success with them. They all seem very friendly and very nice. I like the 24 hour support. I do wish that somebody would come and replace my basement key sensor and backdoor sensor because they aren't working and every time I open the door, it falls off. I think that with the amount of money that I pay it would be nice if somebody would come every year or two and check my to see if my cameras are working properly and if they need an upgrade. That would be very helpful.

The security system has definitely put my family at ease. I like the access the app gives me with being here at home or away from home and the convenience of cameras that in the yard whatever it maybe, indoor and outdoor cameras as well with the app. On the one or two occasions I did call, the customer service reps showed courtesy and knowledge of my question and then a definite quick resolution. I think it's very good value.

It's good and I like it. I haven't had any problems with customer service or the install. My favorite part is the ability to remotely close things and that kind of stuff. Sometimes the doorbell camera will pick up people walking pretty far out and as if they're coming up the door when they're not.

They've always help me with anything that I've needed. I haven't had any any problems with them and if they need to send a tech out they send the tech out. The best thing about Vivint is the peace of mind it brings. They're always friendly. I don't have many problems. They said how to fix it so that animals in the house don't set off the alarm and it didn't work for me but that could just be my house. There are cheaper companies out there.

Vivint was supposed to be the best thing in Home Security since sliced bread. Installation was fast and happened same day of salesman contact, even though I question a couple of the ways they were installing stuff I had to do it my way which was cleaner and neater. Surely there after IE within hours I had alerts that my system was failing I called the salesperson he told me the batteries were dead so they sent the guy out the next day and replace the batteries what do you sell something to customer with dead batteries don't know couple weeks later same problem more dead batteries I have at least 8 or 10 pieces of equipment with batteries as of this moment I've replaced all the batteries that all went dead within weeks of installation not 3 I've had several issues with the system not wanting to allow me to arm I've had to jump through several Hoops to learn how to get this to work properly after a couple of months of trying to get everything straight and figure it out things seem to be working okay at this point either.

I love the views we get from the cameras. Some of the new camera alerts just say “custom alert” on events instead of what it actually is supposed to be alerting. The only other issue was the motion detector was set too sensitive and would go off when our dogs were moving in the house if set. We changed that setting and will be testing it again soon but we are home a lot now and haven’t had to set it for long periods of time. Otherwise it works very well and we have been happy with the service.

So far the experience has been very satisfying all things considered. There have been glitches with a few of the cameras where they randomly shut off. And the outdoor cameras will sometimes mistake snow or other things as “a person lingering”. Not terrible, but this will trigger my alert notifications for a straight 2 hours or more sometimes.

I didn't like how salesman's told me nothing but lies. Then a technician came and installed my camera 7 p.m. til late. So when my equipment went out. I call and schedule appointment at 6p.m. on the phone operator said they send someone to come fix it at 6 . Do to the fact they no one will here to let them in. But every time technician call me it way early and they can't come out pass 6p.m. made this report several times. Same thing happened over and over. My question was how can y'all come installed it way after 6. But cant come fix what is broken at 6p.m. so I told them since y'all cant get it right to satisfy a customer. Or get both of y'all and straight. Operator on phone said my appointment was at 6p.m. but technician call early and said they can't come at 6p.m. so I ask since y'all cant come fix. Come and get all your equipment. I'm not going to paying for anything that is broken. And I didn't break it. So please come get it

My experience with vivint staff has been unpleasant all the way from the representative that was sent out to my home to go over the package plan for service. He lied about everything, He told me that I would not have a payment until Jan. 2021 after my service was installed Aug. 2020, he said I would receive $100 for referring someone i referred 5 people who all ended up getting the service because of my referral and I recieved nothing like I was promised. The installer fell on my garage door motor and bent the rod that pulls the door up causing my door not to open and the spring to pop, which ended up causing me $365 to replace out of my pocket. I explained these issues to customer service and no help at all i called the representative that came out and he said he would zelle the money for the referral but he never did.

I must say my experience this far mediocre. From the beginning I feel like trickery was used to gain my services. I was told by a seasoned representative. that based on my bill w/ previous comp the the amount awarded for switching would adequately cover my transfer which it did not. Later (2 weeks perhaps ), a tech was at home. I inquired about two additional devices. I was told at that time fortiva would allow me to place these items on my credit with them. I find out about a month later that was not true after Vivint decided to debit my account without my notice or authorization for the equipment amount. That left my account in a negative status and called several items in my account to be returned. I was forced to close my account and open a new one. I have been telling someone about what happened at Vivint four months and until last week after being transferred to several representatives for a separate issue, somebody finally listened to me. For the most part my equipment is really 3 I just deal with a lot of buffering. I will say when you call Vivint the customer service reps are very professional and they seem genuinely caring. But if there's any type of complications you will be transferred SOMEWHERE....

The of setting and disarming the system. The ability to remotely set and disarm the system is great. I love the idea of the camera taking pictures of people coming to the front and it shows up on my cell and the monitor on the wall.

Positive, caring. The alarm went off at my house. I was at work and just my wife and kids were home. It was the back door again. It’s had false alarms in the past. The rep advised that if it goes off again to call back and they will schedule a tech to come out and check the sensor.

the people that came to sell and install were very nice. they were fast to install everything, cleaned up after they were done and made sure everything was working right. when my alarm goes off they call immediately and if i don't answer they call my support... they honor their promise for awards and discounts. it just costs a lot for the system, but they payments are not high, depending on what i wanted in equipment. I love that i can talk to someone on the cameras.

The cameras are great. High quality images and easy to access images. Overall the security system works wonderfully. I have had issues with the thermostats, originally I had a NEST that would not sync up to the system and then switched to the Vivant version and still have issues with then "smart assistant" feature. Ultimately I had to put it back on a manual schedule. When. the system was installed in my new home their tech was amazing. He was very professional and did a wonderful job integrating the equipment as seamlessly as possible into the house and exterior.

its been pretty good but things stop working properly. Getting someone on chat is easy, but trying to figure any thing out takes forever and after an hour of trying to fix something that seems simple you have to make an appointment...the same thing happens when you call, it takes forever to diagnose something small then after an hour of the problem not getting fixed you end up having to make another appointment for them to fix said problem. My system is a few months old and this is the second time they have had to come to the house to fix brand new equipment and about the 6th call I've had to make to fix the system...

It is nearly impossible to get customer service over the phone. The customer service representatives are not native English speakers and do not seem to understand what I am calling about. I wrote an email complaint and received a call back from some sort of administrator. He made sure we had a service appointment set up and explained why there may have been a lack of communication. He said that most customers put their own sensors on, but that was never offered to me by customer service, I was just told that they don't usually do that. The administrator followed up to be sure we got taken care of and said he was going to send me an email so I would have his email address in case we needed to reach him. I never got the email. I am happy with the monitoring for my house, but unhappy with the customer service.

It's been great, I have had Vivint for about 7 months. I use it constantly and love the phone app. It's incredibly affordable and dependable. I even use it while at my house to make sure my two yr old doesn't leave the house while I'm not looking. I never expected to have home security but now I can't and won't live without it.

Overall, my experience has been good. The system performs as it should and we're happy with the service. There are some glitches in the system with the cameras. We have made many, many adjustments to our doorbell camera but it constantly goes off just for traffice going up the street or people talking outside or even birds on the shrubs next to our house. That's annoying. We also can't delete notifications on the phone app when the list gets big.

I like the service overall but there are a few glitches that come with the cameras. There is a lag when trying to see video once a notification comes up that someone is at your home. Most times when it finally loads the person has left. Or when clicking a previous recording it fails to load. I do like the system but when it gets glitchy it makes me have slight secondary thoughts.

Hello having the cameras in the front in the back. I am glad to be able to watch live, and I enjoy knowing when someone drops packages at the door. Sometimes if we don't hear the doorbell, at least we get an alert on the phone, which we always have with us.

They have been great. Prices for things could always be lower but the calls from a Vivint agent monitoring my home while I was away at my daughters ballet recital and my alarm triggered was a great experience. The responsiveness and care from the agent was amazing. I would recommend Vivint to everyone who can afford it.

I like the app but feel as those it's lacking some functions that would give this rating a 5 star instead of the 3 I gave it. My main thing is the thermostat and the setpoints. I wish I could set specific times for when the setpoints switch from Home to Sleep and vice versa. At first this functioned fine and it was pretty good at adjusting on its own but lately I have to do it manually and it's very irritating to me. Happy to discuss this with a rep as it would be easier to explain over phone and maybe I am missing something but it's making me consider other options. I also don't think some of the sensors work properly. My wife and I inherited the system from the previous hone owners and were happy with it at first but I am frustrated with the system as of late.

Forgot to disarm my system one night and went outside to let dog out to walk,,, heard my system screaming and Vivint was on my base monitor calling out to me to see if I was ok,,, they had already contacted my daughter and were a few seconds away from calling local law enforcement
