Protect America's monthly fee ranges from $19.99 - $41.99. With said prices, the yearly cost ranges from $239 - $503. Protect America's complete cost over the course of the 36-month contract ranges from $719 to $1,511. This price includes 24/7 monitoring, no installation or equipment fees, a price match guarantee, and a locked-in rate. Customers who purchase Protect America's basic home security package will pay $19.99/mo, and customers who purchase the more advanced package with cellular monitoring and remote access to their system will pay $41.99/mo.

The higher cost for the cellular monitoring is due to the increased services and features available (such as remote control of a security camera, real-time alerts from motion sensors and other home automation features) that are not available with landline monitoring only. $41.99/month for added features and cellular monitoring is still a competitive price and one of the most affordable offers out there. 

Compared to other do-it-yourself solutions, Protect America prices are very low. Most self-installed security system companies who offer free equipment simply make you pay for it in the form of high-cost monthly monitoring services. This isn't the case with Protect America.

The only reason that I rated them a 9 instead of a 10 is because some of their installation instructions for add-on equipment wasn't very good. For the initial install, the instructions were great though. The monthly fee is very reasonable. I also like the fact that my monthly bill will not increase. Had ADT previously and they raised rates annually.

It took 3 different shipments to finally get all the equipment to set up our system. Had to talk to Customer Service 4 times to finally get the system labeled right on their end to identify the right windows and doors. Setting up the system was a hassle and the cost is a lot more than expected for equipment and monthly charges.

Honestly it's pointless. You are supposed to do a monthly check, they don't contact you to see if you are ready. Three year contract is because they know you'd go somewhere else.

When you try to cancel service, you will be subjected to the worst customer service experience ever. Massive hold times. Multiple transfers, call drops, excuses. You will keep getting charged unless you sign a digital contract saying you will pay another month. (YOU AGREED IN THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT TO 30 DAYS CANCELLATION NOTICE) This is the only way to terminate the legal and binding contract and you will pay. Believe me. Read reviews on Better Business Bureau and other rating sites. This site looks to give a bunch specially selected reviews. Y..p says 2 stars and BBB gives 2.5 stars on their sites. Would you eat at a 2 star restaurant? Don't sign the contract or you too will be milked like a stupid cow until you get smart enough to pull the blood sucking machine off your throat. Learn from my mistakes. Sign the digital contract cancelling service! Pay the extra month or.... cancel your credit card to pull the vampire squid off your wallet. They won't sue you because it would cost them money. I bet this review will get deleted even though it's the pure truth.

Extremely unsatisfied. We moved and cancelled our services, they said we had to ride out our contract until expiration but could do that at a reduced rate. We followed up several times. We just got charged another $50 for a service we haven't used in 6 months. On this call thay told us they automatically renewed the contract. What??? There isn't even service at the address. Unbelievable. Getting ready to fill social media with my experience unless they make this right.

This is the 2nd renewal of our contract (I wish there wouldn't be any contract coz in my opinion regardless there's a contract or no contract if the customer is satisfied with the service, they would stay longer.). Customer service is really great, never had any problems or issues, they are very patient, attentive & helpful with our concerns. The system itself is great as well.

Every time I go into chat somebody I customer service answers to help. Every time my alarm goes off for whatever reason the police arrived in two minutes or less knocking on my door so that means it's working. My family being safe me is the best thing. One thing they can improve is that I didn't realize that you have to go put the panic chord on the on the on the thing on the device itself.

It's a very easy system to use. I think it is very reliable. I have used it several times now. Whenever I have called and ask for assistance the people seem to be knowledgeable and seem to be able to answer my questions. I am pleased with the quality of the equipment. One thing I like about it is you can have a sound or you can have the alarm set to silent. I was looking an another alert system and they can't do silent the alarm.

They're fast and inexpensive. They are easy to install and if we open the door it goes off immediately. They walked us through it step by step. One time I forgot to set the alarm I set the alarm the wrong way or whatever and they instantly called and asked me what was wrong.

Customer service was really courteous and reassure me that that I can call with problems or questions. When I had questions and issues about setting up my system, it didn't take me a long time to get to a person to handle my problem. Well I haven't had my alarm system go off yet, but it works and the police arrive quickly but I do have a camera that highlights my entire street.

It's very easy to use. It's very simple to see exactly what's going on and it'll alert very quickly. The alarm works very well and there is no question about it. They were very thorough with instructions and able to be reached with any concerns.

The best thing is the quick service when they communicate with you. After the second false alarm they'd call you and ask to make sure that it's a false alarm within maybe two seconds after the incident.

They're pretty expedient with everything, whether it's an actual or false alarm. The cameras are a little cheesy. They maybe could have options for different alarm destination, I know that there certain protocols they have to be followed, but perhaps some of those protocols could be for gone depending on if our customer requested it or not.

I chose them because they had really good ratings on Consumer Reports. The alarm system could be louder so we could hear it through out the house. They have been very helpful on getting the system set up and learning how to run it.

They didn't give me all my sensors so I had to order it twice and still it's still missing something. So far everything s working good, I can look it on my phone all day. I like that I can lock it on my phone. They need to let the people know that it does include in the sensors when they order. I'm happy overall.
