We purchased a system with an outdoor camera, installed it then it could not use our wi-fi-- we should have been advised when purchased!' Too many problems to explain!! Returned camera; requested two appliance appliance modules to replace camera; called to set-up control panel---spent over an hour to be told we needed a new/updated control panel part which was sent through the mail; called to install updated control panel & was told we needed a new antenna to make our new control panel work; new one sent through mail! Called to install new antenna for control panel & appliance modules. Spent over an hour trying to connect appliance modules & then we were told the modules had to be within 25 feet of the control panel; weren't advised when we ordered! Asked to speak to " supervisor". None available & could NOT request a return call; we would have to call back later to see if a supervisor was available! While having our modules installed the employee left the phone continuously to ask someone else for the info! We asked to speak to the person who she was going to for questions--they were busy on a call. Yes, their prices are good but the headaches & mis-information is ridiculous. Had to agree to a 3 yr contract or we would cancel & find another security alarm company!! I hope management reads this & gives us a call. J Ruth

AWESOMELY affordable. Been around much longer than their DIY competitors. Sales and install are very knowledgeable. Well rated on several alarm company sites. Only downfall is you're tied into a 3yr contract and customer service can take 30min to answer the phone...being on hold. Which is why i request a call back and i don't lose my place in line.

It was easy to install, and I did it myself. It's been a while, so I'm sure my system probably needs an update, especially the sensors on the doors and windows. Everything has been good, except for the tape. It doesn't stick very well, and would set the alarm off when it would fall. It happened so many times that the Police warned us that it would cost us $80 the next time it happened. Besides that, I think their customer service has been great.

We had another company, and there was a break in through one of the windows, and the alarm didn't catch it. On the other hand, Protect America has answered very quickly when the alarm sets off, even if we do it accidentally. When we're on vacation, we let them know, and they don't even bother to call us; they just call the Police Department.

I like being able to turn on or off my alarm with my app, that's nice. It's just been a great service. Anytime I've needed something, they've been able to help really fast, and always in a nice way. As long as the installation process is described step by step by their representatives, it's quite easy. So far, their customer support has been fine; I haven't seen any issues. The equipment is working; however, it's getting older. I've noticed that there were some changes, but I wasn't notified about that. I actually updated my sensors recently, but they ran out pretty quick.

ADT wouldn't allow me to expand some options. They actually told me I could do that if I was a new customer, so I just went to another place where I was a new customer, and that's how I came into Protect America. We haven't had a problem with their agents. I think what really made me go with this service was the pricing they provided. Besides, it was an easy installation process.

The representatives were very helpful, and were pretty straightforward. They were simple, but helpful. The system is a little outdated, but it does the job, so that's good.

If I need anything, I just call their customer support, and then I have their positive response. They shipped me whatever I needed to set up the system. Then I got on the phone with them and installed everything.

It's not a bad system. Sometimes the low battery makes the sensors stop working properly, but that's about it. We're just glad to know we were able to install it ourselves.

Installing the system was quite difficult. I'm in my mid 80's, and it would've been a lot easier if somebody would've installed it for us. I have trouble walking, and it was a bit of a challenge. Customer service and everything else is great. They've done what they promised they'd do.

I wanted to set up my own system; I didn't want anybody inside my house. They allowed me to do that, and I didn't have any problems. They've been there when I've needed them, otherwise, they don't bother me. I enjoy this sense of security.

Every time I've had a problem, their representatives have answered. We didn't have much to do with the installation because it was set up when our home was built, but a year later we upgraded to the wireless system. That one has been great!
