I have had Protect America for just about two years and am extremely dissatisfied with the service. The sensors go off randomly and though I personally do not receive calls regarding an "emergency", they continue to call my emergency contact. The same emergency contact that I have specifically requested that they remove from the account on 4 separate occasions. I have a year left on my contract and will not renew. Overall, I'm extremely unhappy with the service especially for the monthly cost.

First I most apologize to my mother because she said if you don’t have nothing nice to say then don’t say anything at all. But I can’t sit silent knowing that someone else is in danger of becoming Protect America next victim. I have had nothing but a horrible experience with this company and it started the day I received the system the DIY installation they claim is quick and easy was everything but. The tech was unhelpful and finally hours later the system was installed but guess what my whole reason for getting the system doesn’t work. The doorbell camera hasn’t worked properly since I brought the thing it’s off line 90% of the time. I called and spoke to multiple reps techs and supervisors but no help was given just lies. And when I tried to cancel they promptly like me know that I have 30 plus months left on my contract and they will continue to bill me monthly until the end of the contract. This is very unfair seeing how I never received one month of actual properly working service they did give me the option to pay out the life of my contract upfront I guess it sucks to be me at this point. But for anyone looking into security systems do not I repeat do not look into Protect America it’s a bad investment your better off getting a pit bull.

Called ,was on hold for about 30 minutes, spoke with a very rude and arrogant representative who argued why Protect America is better than SimpliSafe to justify cost... If they are so great, why do they LOCK you in to a 3 year contract and Simplisafe is month to month, cancel anytime, they don't LOCK YOU IN for 3 years...Trust me, there is a reason. I have a SimpliSafe alarm in my warehouse and my transmission shop and love it, way easy features in alarm system, No contract and wireless siren which Protect America does not have. SimpliSafe is a better deal all around for me.

MAKE SURE U PRINT OUT YOUR CANCELLATION CONTRACT AFTER SIGNING IT!!! I decide to cancel my service. Spoke to George E told him I wanted to cancel my service the end of June 2019. On the phone he assured me I will not be billed for July and service will automatically end in June after I sign the cancellation contract... so I get the link and I sign it I did not print it out. July here and I get charged. Tried using their online service spoke with Ali (rude) and was told I need to talk directly to George what do you know I'm still on hold! So needless to say according to other reviews this is their standard practice when you want to cancel expect them to squeeze out another month on you. Ill hold for an hour to make sure my contract end and they will not charge me another month and pull this crap again! They plug in the end date on the contract and have the ability to change it if you didnt print a copy to prove to them when you ended it... They will not go back through the phone conversation to listen and prove i asked for them to cancel the month of june! total rip off and bad customer service.

I had to cancel working with them. I had learned that I had to have very different equipment and was not able to install it myself. I had requested them to come out and install and they wanted to charge me an additional $150, and they were going to charge me $34.99 a mo. Another company offered to come out and install and only charge me $27.22 a mo. with all the same equipment, plus a key fob and camera.

We signed on with Protect America through a moving concierge service. We were told that our system would include a front door camera. When we received the system there was no camera, just door and window alarms and an indoor motion protector. The door and window alarms work, but look cheap. We haven't installed the indoor motion protector. We pay way too much for the service that we have/don't have. Would love to get out of the contract.

Two salesman for Protect America were walking door to door, we invited them in, the main guy lied to us in our faces all the while training the other guy to do the same. I feel like I got robbed without a gun( and I'm still getting robbed, as I speak, because in order to keep them from messing with my credit, I am having to pay them in spite of the lies) They lied and said we could try it out and cancel if we were not satisfied. I got ready to cancel and everyone I spoke to, supervisors and all, said " I'm sorry ma'am you signed a three year contract there's nothing we can do about it. Now they are calling me threatening to put it on my credit. I am so upset with this company. Beware of the lairs that work for that company and the supervisors that are in on it as well.

i bought a Protect america security system for a house that i lost in hurrican micheal in Mexico beach florida in 2018. i had had the system a year or so. i was being charged 40.00 a month. now that i had no house and no security system i called to get some help. i was paying the 40.00 a month payment for no reason at all. i really thought they would help me out of my contract due to the extreme circumstances. when i talked to the lady specialist she not only wouldn't let me out of the contract she tried to up sell me 2 more years to my contract! i was stunned at first. then i became very angry and probably embarrassed myself on the phone. the brash sarcasm and greediness in todays society is overwhelming. i couldn't buy the contract out early. she told me full contact term. there was nothing she could do about it. we all know that is a lie. they have the ability to do what they feel is right. i will never, ever, ever use this company again. i will pay my year and half per my contract that i did sigh (even though i have no house and they are monitoring nothing!)and i will tell every person i know what kind of terrible company this is.

This is a stupid tax, you pay for being an idiot if you sign with them. So yes I'm admitting I made a huge error. The service is laughable in both of the homes this has been in. They will try to blame the home, location, and you for their equipment not working. They know their products don't work so they lock you into a contract you have to pay the balance on to leave. These people are also happy to waste your time by having you TAKE APART YOUR EQUIPMENT to get out of admitting there's an issue on your end, and THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING AND REPLACEMENT PARTS for faulty units before sending you another base unit they will try to charge you for. Their agents are few and far between, but they're kind, poorly trained, but still nice people. I know their equipment is garbage, because I've switched to a competitor and have had NO ISSUES. I can't wait for my contract to end!

The system is cumbersome, especially the monthly check. And one has to set the system up over the phone including all installation.

I will never do business with Protect America ever again!!!! A company that all it cares about is to make money with "0" customer service!!! To have a security system is not like having a lease on a car but like having cable, internet or any utility around the house, you don't just stick it to your customers and tell them that we have a 3 year contract!!! I called all the utility companies and comcast telling them that I sold my house and they disconnected no questions asked ...This was not the case for them...People stay away!!!

They were very patient. They take all the time that you need and they made it very easy without having a service person come and set it up for me. It's all very modern and up to date. I like the self-install. The representative I worked with was very attentive and kept checking in to make sure everything was still okay and wouldn't take no for an answer. They wanted to make sure everything was set up correctly. So far, everything seems to be working very well. It's easy to install and very user friendly. The one time the alarm went off it all worked very well. It's good to know that I'm protected. I can easily customize the service that I need for the home.

I think the service was pretty good in terms of the response and the information that they provide for better understanding. It was pretty easy to set up and it was very user friendly. We've only used it for a couple of our houses and they've been pretty comparable to what we had in the past and we are very comfortable with the service.

They always resolve any issues. Protect America is very helpful and professional. Everything is working so far. I think the best thing is that they do hourly checks on all the systems, that way you know everything is in constant working order and if their system check fails that they'll send you a free replacement part.
