Moved into a house that had a protect American system. They advertise $20-$40 monthly but couldn't offer that low of a price. When I changed a battery on a window alarm the alarm went off and they wouldn't tell me the code to turn it off unless I signed up for service. It was torture and probably bad for our kids hearing.

Not enough information prior to purchase. They didn't spec out my needs. Instead of asking good questions to determine what types of components would be the best fit for our home, they sold me a generic system which doesn't fit. We are still trying to figure out what gets returned and what gets replaced. Also the camera they sold me for an outrageous price is worthless. It's night vision is terrible. Overall they are way overpriced.

I had to install it myself as everyone is in lockdown. It was challenging for me as I had to move lots of heavy furniture in front of some windows and then return it. I started with one rep , Dana then another rep , Kevin called back another day to finish. So basically we had to start all over again. Frustrating. I hope I love it once we get going. Not good! Half of the sensors would not work or they would work for a while and then stop! When calling for help there was always a long wait. Of the technicians that tried to help me only one seemed to know what was going on. He was really good and very patient. I finally told them I was canceling the contract because I was going on vacation and would be gone during the rest of the trial time. I did get a call from a lady that was trying to do everything she could to get to keep the system and she said she would call me back after I got back, but she never called. The sad part of this was that I liked the system and wished that it could have been worked out.

They are cheap but good luck trying to cancel the service. I cancelled in Nov. Still getting bills. They claim they had no record of it but could tell me when I had "tried" to cancel! Claim to have called but I have no record. They NEVER emailed regarding but are emailing me the cancellation form now. Just delaying to get more $$ out of me!!

I tried to cancel. I had been a very good client for 3+ years never a day late. I contacted on line to tell them I wanted to cancel Gentleman very nice. the next week I had a lady call that said I will send you a email. The email she sent had a attachment of I had to pay or I couldn't cancel I will be turning over to the attorney general and I hope all of you read this before working with this company. I do not recommend protect America . the system is not working well if something happens to your system if they need to send something to fix your system they charge you for shipping fee.

I would recommend them to others. I'm a new customer and with what I've seen so far I am satisfied. They guaranteed a price that would not increase. It appears to be good equipment. The only thing is I had to call in two different calls during the installation for technical support. Both times the call went into a waiting list and it takes an hour to an hour and a half to call me back.

The representative that I talked to was very knowledgeable. He gave me his opinions and some insight that I would not have had if I just tried to order online. Everything is working and it's easy to use. I have the features that I wanted and it's cost effective.

We had an alarm go off at 4 a.m. and customer service was closed so it's hard to getting help at that time. They should keep customer service open 24/7. The equipment works good but of the equipment they sent me two parts were faulty.

The customer service rep was very respectful and was able to answer all my questions that I had. They are willing to stand behind their product with one hundred percent free replacement of any faulty equipment. The best thing to me would be the technology as well as the app they have to go along with their security monitoring.

It was easy to set up and they covered everything that I needed. The only thing that I don't like is the control panel is so big I don't know where to put it. I thought the person who helped install the system was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable. It would be nice if they gave a follow up call after the fact to check if everything is okay and working properly or if I had any questions instead of me having chase them down. There was something that they promised me that I didn't get and so if someone had call me with a follow up call that would have been easy for me to say "hey by the way I didn't get that link can you send it to me now?". It feels like they go after you with a vengeance to get your business so now that they have my business they should have the same level of customer service in my opinion.
