I chose them since they were one of the top 10 home security services out there. Plus, they also had good reviews and were some $10 cheaper than the other companies. It took them a long time to get somebody out here to install the equipment. It was about 3 weeks until they got someone going, though I guess that things are a lot slower down here in Florida. Still, they seem like a good company. Whenever I have a problem, they are always right there to give me the answers. I don't like some of their answers sometimes though, they don't make me happy. For instance, with other systems I could leave the windows open on a nice spring or fall day and security would still be up and active. With Guardian that's just not possible, don't ask me why, so I can't really leave my windows open. That doesn't make me happy especially since I'm stuck with them for 3 years because of the contract. Though the equipment in general is good. I can arm and disarm the alarm from my phone, which is good in case a friend or someone has the key to the house. I don't like giving out my code so that works fine with me. I didn't get the cameras with my package though since those are an extra $200 or something like that. I was unaware of that since they had advertised it all as one thing. I'm happy with the equipment though.

The people that came in just put the system and if I asked any questions they didn't really give me a good answer. I asked them how it all worked and they couldn't tell me. You kind of have to learn on your own and figure it out. We did get that ironed out in the end, but it just took a while.

The service came pre-installed since the home builder put it in there. The tech that they sent out knew how to work with the security system that was installed, but it seems like Guardian installed audio with a low voltage wiring and some other things in the house. The tech had no knowledge of any of that stuff, so he couldn't do much with that. Also, at one point I needed a replacement and it took them close to a month to get things done. Other than that, everyone has been nice.

My builder was the one that chose it for me. There were some things where I wasn't sure if my equipment could do certain things or had certain features. I didn't know if it was that or if I simply didn't know how to make it do the things that I wanted it to do. Other than that, I think they should give people a call every once in a while, or even when their contract is up, to offer upgrades and improvements on the system. I didn't even know they could do upgrades until I called them to cancel my services. They offered me the improvements and gave me a good deal right there.

I've only had the system for about a month and a half, but I'm just not all that happy with the guy that sold me the service. He promised that it would cost less than my previous system and that they would take care of canceling the old one and getting everything sorted out. He didn't and now my checking account is getting charged for that company too. I mean, the equipment and everything is fine I guess, but I'm not happy with the service that guy gave me. It took him forever to do everything, he didn't do it right, and I'm also sure I have the carbon monoxide thing included in my service, but I never got it.

Out of the different security systems I've had, I've felt the safest with Guardian Protection. Their customer support has given me complete satisfaction because they're available to answer all my questions, or to fix my problems. Plus, the technician that came over was professional, and got everything installed really quick. The equipment is easy to use, and it was placed in the right place. I was used to ADT or Brinks, but the new area I was in offered Guardian. They happened to offer the best value for the best price. It was very simple to install, and the guy explained everything. It was really quick, easy and very comfortable. It seems like the control panel is a little bulky, and it could maybe be updated. Besides that, I like the fact that I can control things with an app on the phone. I've only had to use it a few times actually, and their representatives were very polite. I got Guardian because I had ADT before, and I couldn't relax with them, and I did not have a protection around where I'm at work. I'm aging and my daughter wanted me to have one, so I decided to go with them. I am legally blind and I had to have one that talks. They had never seen one that talks, but they did get me one that does talk, so now I know when the doors open and when they're closed, and I'm very happy with that. It does what others didn't. It took them a while to install it, because they'd never done it before with that sort of device that talks to you.

I would give them 0 stars if it was an option. System has never worked from the day it was installed. Doorbell never works, cameras have issues, panel locks up when disarming and the alarm goes off. They installed motion sensors that were under a recall and fail causing false alarms. Anytime you talk to them they want to charge you even when you were able to perform the function by yourself previously. Complete bait and switch company. Stay away as the do not back their product after 1 year, much less 3 months after install. Three years later and it still does not function but they will do nothing without wanting to charge you.

As she indicated to you, Guardian does not give access to its proprietary programming data, per the wording in the Agreement which you signed upon choosing Guardian as your trusted security provider. We appreciate the opportunity to resolve your issues and our loyalty liaison has endeavored in every way possible to accommodate your needs. She offered: a) to waive the fee for adding-in your new door lock and as many home automation devices as you would like during a phone call at your convenience with our technical care team; b) to send a tech to your home to replace your control panel and to program your door lock for just $35, and c) to provide a courtesy review of your account by our technical care experts who can suggest ways of optimizing your video devices. You have declined all three of these generous options. With regard to your issue about not needing the number of video clips you originally agreed to, our loyalty liaison worked diligently to reduce that number for you and has issued a credit to your account and offered to reduce your monthly rate as a result. This rate reduction will go into effect as soon as you return the signed addendum acknowledging the new, lower rate. As previously mentioned, your satisfaction is important to us.
