The Good

  • Custom designs
  • Quality promotions
  • Delivery costs
Bassett Furniture is best known for its custom design feature. Customers at Basset soon realize that a trip to this store is much more than just picking out furniture from a set amount of options. With the custom design feature, your options are endless. And the best part of all is that it can be made and delivered within just 30 days. Bassett also is constantly sharing deals and promotions for its furniture on their website's home page. Very easy to find. The clearance tab on their website is another great tool they highlight. Take advantage of the excellent prices offered on many of these quality items. Another perk of Bassett Furniture is their flat rate for shipping in-home products. Unlimited items on a single order can all be shipped for one simple rate of $139. Definitely a bonus for those customers who live farther from the store than they would like, making their shipping and delivery bill inflate dramatically. This $139 includes the delivery team's help with product set up and service as well as the relaxed feeling that no extra hidden fees are in the making.

The Bad

  • No free shipping
  • Limited return policy
  • Delivery time
The standard shipping rate of $139 might be helpful to some by reducing their cost of delivery, but others may not agree. Bassett Furniture also does not offer free shipping and their return policies are very specific with many requirements that the customer must fulfill before being reimbursed or refunded. I wouldn't consider their process "hassle-free". Another slight downfall might be the length of delivery time. Although their custom made products are verified to be completed and shipped within 30 days, other products customers can order online might take up to 8 weeks to complete the process. Not many complaints have been publicly, but the few that were made were primarily concerned with their product and service after being delivered. Deliveries were brought to the customer containing parts of the wrong product. The number of issues were minuscule in comparison to the larger scale of customers, but they did exist. These issues later closed and were taken care of through proper authority within the company.

The Bottom Line

Ultimately, we recommend Bassett Furniture Company for your home furnishing needs. This company is very customer-friendly and willing to work for what you want as a buyer. They have an incredible custom built furnishing program set up that would allow the furniture of your dreams to be in your living room within just 30 days. They honor a standard warranty guideline and available to work with your needs if you desire a cancellation for any reason. This company strives for customer satisfaction and believes in producing quality, valuable products for the everyday customer at a reasonable price.

We paid big dollars to purchase what we thought would be the last living room furniture in our lives as we are both over 60 and our last furniture lasted over 25 years. In a little over 3 years the love seat has been back to the shop twice because of horrible tilt in the seating area which has not been completely fixed, and the reclining mechanism for the couch has completely quit working although we have only used the couch while the loveseat was in the shop. We though Bassett was good furniture and we paid handsomely for this leather couch and loveseat but they are NOT WORTH the old pine furniture we bought when we first got married, at least then we knew what we were getting. Stay AWAY…

When searching for THE sectional for our family room, we happened into Bassett furniture unsure if we would be able to afford their well known, high quality pieces. A sales associate sat down with us and showed us how we could "construct" a sofa to fit our room perfectly. She walked us through financing, to enable us to bring our sectional home. Huge Thanks to Bassett Furniture.

Bassett is a clear leader in fine leather furniture. While cost is competitive, the quality and workmanship of their leather furniture is beyond compare. They have such expertise that they can share so much more detail than the average sales person. That detail helps you understand that their furniture is clearly superior to others in the same market. If you want high quality-You have to choose Bassett. It's just that indisputable!

Bought the Alexander sofa, chair, ottoman. Within a month the back cushion on chair looked saggy. The arm piece on the sofa broke after about a month. Took quite a while to get customer service to get someone out to look at. They came and said they would order part. Still waiting. That was June. Not a word back. Week or two after that happened to the sofa, the arm on the chair broke. Called in. This was weeks ago. Was told it’s just a cheap piece of something in there and doesn’t take much to break apparently. Just shifted in the chair and I’m not a big person. Well....still not a word on that. I would not buy anything Bassett again because of the customer service and quality of these pieces of furniture. I had always thought this was a good company with quality furniture but doesn’t seem like it now. Disappointed.

Bassett Furniture is superior in quality and finish. I have never regretted getting this brand as they hold up quite well. I consider it a life time piece that will survive tons of use. They are exceptional in customer service as well. Highly recommended.

We have bought two different couches from Bassett over the past few years and love both of them. The quality is excellent, and I love that we were able to customize the fabric to what we wanted. I also own a leather chair from Bassett that has held up very well over several years. It's still in perfect condition.

I went to Bassett Furniture with my Fiancé about 2 months ago. We have been looking for a couch for our new apartment and we thought we would take a look. When we got there we noticed that everything that we were seeing was far out of our price range. We are wanting to purchase couch for about $500 or less. (That would hardly buy an armchair at Bassett). We decided to keep walking around just to look at color schemes and styles to get a better idea of what we liked. A saleswoman came up to us and started to everything in her power to sell us a couch. It was a bit comical since we had already told her that it was way too expensive and that we just wanted to look. In the end, we left feeling very pressured and didn't want to go back. Either go ready to spend a lot of money, or to get hounded by salespeople. Good luck!

I purchased a leather sectional from Bassett furniture in 2019, by 2021 it was ripping at the seams! I contacted Bassett but was informed that there was "nothing we can do" due to the fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on fabric and leather! I explained that the sectional was less than 2 years old and this was should not be expected to happen due to normal wear and tear of their product. They asked me to send pictures of the damage but then never got back to me. When I finally called the customer service line I was given the same robotic response regarding the one year warranty....why did they even make me go through the trouble of emailing the photos??? They never had any intention of rectifying the problem. This company has terrible customer service and their products are very poor quality. They definitely do not back up their claims of exceptional quality and craftmanship that they proclaim on their website. Furniture is very expensive, craftmanship and quality are poor and not worth the price. I now have to replace a sectional with less than 2.5 years use! This is just unacceptable!

I want to start by saying that the employees I encountered at Bassett Furniture Mall of Georgia were friendly, helpful, and professional. Angie, the designer I worked with, spent a lot of time with me working on a floor plan, designing sofas, and picking out fabric. This rating is not meant to reflect on the staff, but rather the quality and craftsmanship of their furniture. If you’re considering Bassett, just make sure you look closely at the quality of their pieces. I ordered 2 custom-made sofas from Bassett and have attached pictures. The stitching is horrible, there are seams on every single arm, puckering, buckling, and the stitching on the front on both ends was uneven as it got narrower toward the legs. I can’t believe I didn’t notice this before I ordered my sofas because I’m extremely detail oriented and particular, but when I went back to the store I inspected their furniture more closely and noticed that almost every single one of their sofas on the floor in the design center has a seam on the arm approx. 4” from the back. It’s hard to notice on their sofas because of the fabric they used, but my sofas have the same seams and they looked awful! My designer told me that Bassett uses a machine to calculate the most cost effective way to cut the fabric (saving money); therefore, most sofas have seams in that location. Too bad their prices do not reflect that cost savings! I was in contact with the store constantly on how to resolve this issue. They assured me they would make it right and wanted to make me happy but that “it was a process”. The other issue I have is that every single time they told me I would hear from them later in the week, I never did. I was always the one that would have to call and check on the status of my complaint/claim. Finally, after 2 weeks I called and asked to speak with the store manager, Karen. She never returned my call, but later that day I got an email from DruAnn, the customer care specialist, asking me to come in and reselect fabric for 2 new sofas. I never did find out what the findings of their “process” were. Their best guess is that it was the fabric I chose (which by the way is still hanging with the other fabrics as an option for upholstery). At this point, I lost faith in Bassett and did not feel good about working with them or getting any furniture from them. Luckily, Bassett wanted to cut ties with me too because I was extremely particular. They took back my sofas and refunded all my money, except the $200 delivery fee. I’m writing this review in hopes of saving someone else the trouble and stress of going through what I went through. If I would have read a review like this, I would have avoided Bassett or at least gone in knowing what to expect.

I purchased family room furniture from Bassett almost 10 years ago. It was pricey compared to places like RC Willey, but even after 10 years of wear and tear, it still looks almost new. It is also very comfortable!

I purchased an entertainment center from Bassett several years ago in Pearl, MS. This piece of furniture is real wood and has more that stood the test of time. It was quite prices but that is expected for real furniture. This is real furniture. No particle board.

We got our leather couch from here. We paid a lot of money for it and 10 years later is has been moved down to the basement but we still use it. It is a solid piece the only disappointment was how easily the leather got scratched. With dogs and jeans with metal studs it got thrashed.

I bought the extended ardently, they laughed at me. Nantucket dining furniture is made ofMDS no hardwood as we were led to believe. Despite using table clothes with placemats and tributes there are with spots scattered across all surfaces. A picture fell about 18 inches and knocked a large piece of the top off, this is how we able to confirm the product received was not the product purchased. The top of the table and buffer are a mess need to be replaced. They are not what we paid for and we’re told it was made of hardwood. The extended warranty was never honored.

Horrible to deal with. After buying $6k of furniture a year and a half ago, I'm STILL trying to get them to make it right. All three pieces had problems. I keep getting put off on repairs. I've asked them to come and get the furniture and they still act as though they want to take care of it yet NEVER call back.

Horrible quality - crack wood on chairs and stain is rubbing off on end fed of the table. Customer service was awful to work with and lied to the BBB. Took many argumentative phone calls to get them to do anything, and even then they didn’t fix the product properly.
