LeafFilter Gutter Protection is one of the largest home improvement companies in the United States.

LeafFilter installs a micromesh screen made from surgical-grade stainless steel (which neither rusts nor corrodes) to protect your gutter from leaves, dirt, and other debris. The mesh is 275 microns fine, so LeafFilter claims that not even shingle grit will get through.

Additionally, LeafFilter uses a frame made from durable uPVC material that will never warp or deteriorate. So, whether you are dealing with a hot, humid summer in Florida or a below-freezing winter in Michigan, LeafFilter’s gutter cover will maintain its structural integrity no matter the weather.

The last piece of LeafFilter’s three-piece gutter system is the structural hangers. The hangers are internal and securely fastened into the fascia board.

Installation Process

Leaves and shingle gravel have always dirtied my gutters causing issues with water flow . Got sick and tired of these problems and decided to check out what’s out there for good gutter protection. Googled it and after looking at a few different ones I decided to go with LeafFilter gutter guards. Reason being that they are well made ,fastened to the gutters for a secure fit. Not even shingle gravel gets past it. And they are lifetime warranty and a transferable to the new owners. My gutter problems are no more THANKS TO LeafFilter!!

Had to replace our gutter guard system because it was one of those systems that has a gap in it. You see many versions of it at home and garden shows and they (the people selling them) absolutely claim they work great. Well, we live in an area with trees all around us and the leaves DO get in there and really don’t work well at all, at least in the long run. LeafFilter makes leaf and debris infiltration impossible. The crew came out, removed the old system, and installed new gutters and the LeafFilter guard system in one day. They were great. Everything looked really nice. On the first rain, I noticed a leak on one of the corners, called customer service number and they came our and repaired that leak, which just required some silicone in an area the techs had missed. Customer service so far has been as good as their advertisements say they are. Quite happy and we shouldn’t have to worry about this again, which is priceless.

Site review was thorough and provided a basis for discussion of specific problems that needed remediation. Leaf Filter was installed a couple of months ago and since then we have had significant rain and a snowstorm that left 8” of the white stuff. Both provided a good evaluation of Leaf Filter efficiency as the storms brought ample leaves from the many trees that border the lot. The overflow of rainwater that was a big problem is gone. It is a good thing not to worry about the potential for foundation and other problems from overflowing gutters. Thank you Leaf Filter for my new peace of mind when dark gray clouds gather overhead.

Allow me to first say that the sales experience was very good. And the installers personalities were also very easy going. And given that the weather was very cold and the guys were time pressed I can understand why there are a couple of issues with the product. The front south facing corner leaks and I have addressed the problem and I was told that a phone call should solve the problem. Now recently we had a thaw and a refreeze and the other south rear facing down spout end came off. There are two screws that when initially installed did not grip and the thing came loose with chunk of ice. Another easy fix I hope. I’ll address these two issues whenever I make my phone call. I expect both issues will be taken care of.

I would have given a 10, but They ran out of black gutters so had to use brown in the back of the house. The feet of the down spouts were pictured as metal hinged and able to be lifter for mowing, but they installed plastic tube ones like you'd find in any garden department. I really didn't like being basically forced to sign a service contract before I could discuss it with my grandson. For a one story, simple install, it was very expensive. They did leave the whole work ares clean and took the mess with them. I did not get the leaf filter layer on top of the gutters because the leaves stick to the filter when it rains and then the rains just pour down over the stuck leaves all along the edge of the gutters. Been there done that!

During review of the existing gutters and got a price for them, come to find out the price did not include the screen that goes over the gutter itself to keep any leaves tree branches from clogging the gutter system. When the technician came out to install the complete gutter system they did not include the covering over the gutter frame which based on the advertising you mislead shows them technician installing the protective. Even the brochure that I was given shows the complete gutter system which includes the gutter and the top covering. When I signed up to have the complete system installed the sales person showed me pictures of the system which included the top covering. This is like a bait and switch sales pitch. I am very dissappointed that I idid not get what the salesman sold me. He said I was correct with the advertising and never being told the protective covering was not part of the system!! IfI had to do it again I would play more to the sales and what the sales man tells me instead of going on what is advertized on TV on the Internet and the phone, Very dissappointed!

I have no doubt that leaf filter will keep stuff out of the gutters. Little did I know that it even keeps water out in the winter. Snow falls and lands on the system and blocks any melt from entering gutters until the snow melts from gutter guard. After the system was installed and we had first snow and I called C/S about the water runoff and ice cycle buildup along gutters edge. I was told to install heat tape to roof and gutters.

My initial concern does seem to be resolving itself as I was hoping. With the combination of more rain and more wind and sunshine the initial leaf accumulation is gradually decreasing. The Installation Crew arrived right on time and got right to work. They took down the old 5" gutters and put up the new 6" gutters with the lraf Filter feature. They were here all day and did a great job and cleaned up all the debris from their work. We had rain last week and the gutters performed very well and much better than the old ones. I would like a copy of the transformable lifetime warrenty that I have not received yet. I had to call to get the wqarranty entered because I was unable to do it myself online.
