AWS Console Mobile App Now Has Support

business-news-alert-3Amazon is adding support for the cloud platform to its Amazon Web Services (AWS) Console app for iOS, Android and Kindle for those who want to adjust the controls on those apps.

Users can get a quick indicator of the health of apps running on Elastic Beanstalk in the updated version of the app. In addition, users can also restart application servers, restore previous versions of applications and terminate environments associated with applications.

Amazon has a lead to maintain in the public cloud market. Adding capabilities for mobile management of applications in its cloud is only logical during this 24/7 era. Of course, major AWS competitors such as Google and Microsoft are expected to make similar announcements in the next few months about related capabilities for managing cloud infrastructure on a smartphone or tablet. They’ve been dropping prices and adding features as quickly as Amazon.

The AWS Console app already supports EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS and other Amazon services.
