The site does not fully explain all of their features and pricing is only obtained through a consultant. Infusionsoft is entrepreneurial minded and innovative in their offerings. They are based in Arizona and boast over 24,000 active customers.

Infusionsoft offers tools for small businesses to have a full featured CRM and automated marketing program. Infusionsoft brings the highest levels of technology, customer service and friendly CRM and marketing tools to small business.

Infusionsoft works to give small business the service and tools which were previously only available to the largest companies and it is evident in how the company interacts via its website and via their customer service consultants.

As would be expected, Infusionsoft maintains robust social media accounts giving relevant and pertinent information to their customers and those looking for tips in email and social media marketing. Several of the YouTube videos are about one year old, they are relevant. Content is not as frequently uploaded onto YouTube as the other social media channels.

Infusionsoft has multiple ways to contact representatives – via phone, online chat or web form, making it easy to receive assistance.

One can manage their campaigns by using Infusionsoft’s full-featured mobile app.

Infusionsoft’s features are not fully explained online and to get full descriptions, one must request information from a consultant, which took some time to receive.

Products are presented piece in many ways (3rd party applications like GroSocial and PlusThis), making the product more expensive than it appears upfront. Paying more for social media sharing and surveys doesn’t make a lot of sense when other companies offer these services integrated with their products.

Infusionsoft does not currently offer a free trial for their services and is more expensive than their competitors.

The Bottom Line

Our review team began their analysis excited by the interactions which they had with the first impressions about Infusionsoft. However, as they interacted more and researched more about the company, they began to change their minds. Infusionsoft’s email marketing pricing is not easy to find on the website and required contact with a consultant to obtain. Additionally, many important features for email marketing strategies are available as add-ons, and at an additional cost. Making the analysis trickier is the fact that some of the companies recommended by Infusionsoft are those actually owned by Infusionsoft. One wonders if this practice is simply another way to increase prices and keep the money in the company. Our team is cautious in recommending Infusionsoft for most companies for the reasons stated above.

Dashboard Functionality

Infusionsoft has a straight forward and extremely user-friendly dashboard. Inside the dashboard, everything which you need to know about your campaign is accessible by a click or two. The interface is clean and runs smoothly.


All email campaigns can be segmented and targeted to meet the customer demographic which you set up.


Infusionsoft does basic analytics, but not heatmap tracking (tracking where your visitors click and charting the areas as colors).


All templates for Infusionsoft are optimized for mobile use as well as being friendly for users on their computers.

Image Hosting

Images used in campaigns can be stored on Infusionsoft’s servers. When asking customer service about the capacity, our reviewer was told that there is a limit to size, but that they weren’t sure what it was.

Email Preview

All emails can be previewed before sending as to how they will appear in various email clients and with different browsers.

A/B Testing

A/B testing and tracking is included and easy to do with Infusionsoft’s PlusThis tool. PlusThis is an additional $59/month and includes comprehensive A/B tracking.

Export Tool

Users can export any of their reports at anytime for analytics’ purpsoes. The downloads are quick to complete and do not take a lot of resources.  There are also a lot of 3rd party companies in Infusionsoft’s marketplace.


Surveys are easily created and integrated into any of your campaigns using the powerful tools of GroSocial, which was purchased by Infusionsoft about 2 years ago. To add surveys with GroSocial, there is an additional cost required for a plan with them, which is not included in your Infusionsoft plan.

Social Media and Other Integrations

Infusionsoft recommends GroSocial for social media integration. It is possible to integrate these tools into your campaigns manually, but it is more than a simple draf and drop interface.

Other Reporting Features

All interactions with emails sent in your campaigns is tracked and available for analysis to help users understand their campaigns and their successes and failures.

Other Contact Management Features

Contact management features depend on the plan which you select. Some plans offer more contact management features than others.

Other Email Creating Features

Infusionsoft offers many features, but some of them are offered through 3rd party companies which at least some of which are owned by Infusionsoft. With this added pricing, it begins to feel as though Infusionsoft is nickel and diming their clients to offer add-ons which are offered by other companies as part of their package.
