Is Ecommerce Viable in the Long Run?

By: Bryce Morgan  |  February 18, 2015

There is no doubt that Ecommerce is on the the rise and more shoppers are turning their attention to online retail. Ecommerce, the catch-all name for online shoppping, revenue is up over 16% percent in the last year. But does the Ecommerce bubble burst or hit it’s ceiling anytime soon.

We predict that Ecommerce will continue to capture more and more shoppers attention with the ability to shop conveniently from the comfort of your home. May believe that weather, especially around the holiday season, is a big factor in the rise in Ecommerce revenue in the last year.

Here is what we expect from Ecommerce shopping this year:

  • Mobile shopping will increase. All numbers point towards a boom in mobile shopping. If you own an Ecommerce shop, make sure that your site is mobile friendly all the way through checkout.
  • According to Marketing Land, 38.5% of online transactions originated through Google and email marketing drove in 17.7%. Make sure to keep in contact with your customers.
  • Many have spoke about Social Media driving revenue, but the numbers have yet to come to life. Many are still holding out hope that Social Media can boost their online sales, but it is sometimes tough to correlate social media efforts and purchases.

What do you expect from online shopping this year?
