The Good

  • Security
  • Experience
  • Manageability
  • Performance
Here are some other features customers will love:
  • Security: Dyn has security measures against threats and attackers, in addition to protection against disaster. Dyn will protect your site against hacking to ensure your business can continue moving forward. Additionally, because Dyn outsources DNS, naturally disasters will not affect your site.
  • Experience: Dyn has been in business for a decade and a half, and it has a leadership team in place with the talent and experience to help your sites reach their maximum potential. Dyn team of dedicated professionals take the guess work out of complicated issues and provide meaningful, effective solutions to ensure you can get your sites up and running in no time. Plus, with knowledge and innovation, Dyn uses the latest technologies to stay at the top of the industry.
  • Manageability: Dyn customers can select Standard DNS and have full control over their sites with setup wizards and a simple-to-use interface.
  • Performance: Dyn uses Anycast network and is routing to 18 points, including Brazil, Australia, Hong Kong, India, and others. Dyn provides a healthy amount of site availability and a website experience visitors and customers will love and appreciate.
Pricing is also fair and competitive, with three plans and options to choose from. Each plan has varying features to meet whatever needs you or your business have. And if you're not sure whether the product will work for you, Dyn offers a 14-day free trial.

The Bad

  • Customer service
Customer service could be better. The lack of response and helpfulness has drawn the ire of customers. Questions of billing have been a hassle, and agents are not always able to resolve concerns. The company also charges $50 for 30 minutes of support.

The Bottom Line

Indeed, there are concerns with Dyn, but if you are willing to look past them and focus solely on the product and the end result of your experience, you will be happy with what Dyn provides. With the pricing, ease of use and top-notch performance and reliability your website will have, Dyn is an excellent choice for your DNS needs.

Ten years ago it used to be a good value. Now, a simple DNS hosting package costs 10x what it would cost you at 100 different providers. Regardless of their hosting method/protocols, it was easy for me to find other provided with speed equal to or better. Don’t waste your money here.
