As advertised, FDR does help reduce debt by working with credit card companies and banks to negotiate a payment plan which is affordable. However, FDR does not always contact all companies on your list so the nasty-grams and warning letters do not stop; neither do the dozens of phone calls.

We start to make contact as soon as there are enough funds in your dedicated account to be able to negotiate with these creditors. I have had a fairly good experience thus far, and am about halfway done. I do not like the automated draft, but have been allowed to skip one payment when it was absolutely necessary. The fees for the first settlement caught me by surprise and were higher than expected. Also, The balance for all cards went up drastically before anything was done which was difficult to see. Now that I've reached a second settlement, it's feeling like a positive thing.

I’ve been in Freedom Debt Relief program since June 2015. So, I can say how this has impacted or helped me with reliable accuracy. First, my debt (enrolled amount total) was $71,652 with over 1/2 dozen creditors (credit cards). First thing they will tell you is do not make any more payments to any. After 3 1/2 years, i have paid over $47,888 (inc fees) to resolve $54,979. Net reduction in my math of $7,091. Saved about 13%. However, I still have two more creditors and $16,673 to go. So, i figure this will take another year or so to close it out. Here is what you have to know. Whatever credit score you have, it will go down to toilet as soon as you enroll into this program since you will stop payment on all. And, your credit score will pretty much be in toilet until you are done. My credit score was upper 700 low 800 before this program and until I’m done with this program and creditors remove their comments, I’m mostly doing cash deals. Good is that I don’t have to deal with Creditors and transaction. People have told me that I should have done bankruptcy rout after knowing how much I have put into this and what my credit score is now and how long it is taking to settle out. Everyone should know that you will pay and pay a lot. If you think you can settle your debt by paying 1/2 or less, dream on. They will make it like they have done awesome job settling your debt but after 21% fee and monthly fees, you are paying what you owe. If you are in a similar situation as I was when I first enrolled, suggest that you consider bankruptcy rout as you may come up better financially and be able to move on from debt a lot quicker. Yes, people say bankruptcy will kill your credit, but so does this program. I’m projecting after 5 years from my enrollment date and paying about 90% of what I owed, I’ll be free from debt and my credit scores will climb. Hope this will help others thinking about this program. I gave one star for this review but gave one more because it has paid off 3/4 of my debt so far.

The CS agents at times don't know what their doing.It covers everything I can think of from sending collectors to freedom & attorneys that other programs don't have.it's worth the fees that come out of everywhere. They absolutely listen to what the customer wants.

So far so good. Really don't start till the 5th when deposit is made in new designated account. That's new to me and anxious to see how it turns out. Most of the stuff you really have to wait till you get to it. The deposits, negotiations, the constant phone calls, etc.

To date FDR has settled on two accounts and continue working on the remainder, I like that the staff and the whole process is fairly low key... no pressure and highly professional.
