It was the first time I've ever used GoFundMe and it was a pretty positive experience. I put in the wrong name by mistake and deactivated the account thinking the transaction was fine. When it wasn't I contacted GoFundMe and help was nearly immediate. The process was a little lengthy (due to payment complications) but customer service was very good.

I like the way GoFundMe works, and I like the various forms of data provided to document donations. However, I do not like the way the help/contact us feature works. It tends to circle back and back to the same window. I couldn't get to an online chat feature, and there's no person at the end of the phone. I missed something I should have seen, but when that happens, it's extremely difficult to get out of the loop. When I didn't see the answer the first time, I didn't see it the second or the third or the fourth, either. That's how it usually works. I don't get frustrated easily, but this frustrated me.

The response / reply to my inquiry was really fast and really helpful. I did not understand how this program worked so for me it was the wrong approach. I thought you just posted your needs and it went into some data base where it was looked at but I realize now you have to be on social media, which at 84 I am not nor do I ever want to be. Also, I wanted to do this for my grand daughter who did not know it. She would probably not like the idea of asking for money if she knew I did this. We are a family of take care of yourselves. However, there is nothing wrong with legitimate causes for people. I reached out the help section of Go Fund Me and got an immediate reply by a nice person who was very thoughtful and told me that the best way to reach people was through social media and your friends by email. My friends are old people on SS so I would never expect them to give any of their hard earned money to help my family,, when they have families of their own in need. So I thank your people for the kind response and I am sure this is a good program for some people who have more out reach than I do.

I do not like working with Social Media for many personal reasons, (I know there are other people like me out) there and I had to set up a GoFundMe account. From the beginning I have had a great experience! The platform is very easy to use. Set up is clearly explained and done in minutes. I had a specific question for the Happiness Team, which was answered very quickly, with a friendly and concise explanation. So far, the app is working great and I love how easy it is to thank donors. I was intimidated withthe thought of running a fundraiser, but GoFundMe has eliminated all the fear. Highly recommend it!

I’m currently receiving donations as my home burned down on 3/6/18; my friends started an account for me as my family and I were left with nothing. I love how people can assist in the time of need through GoFundMe. I’ve also been on the other end where I’ve given to people in need many times. My only problem w/ GoFundMe is that I have to search for my credit card to donate. You all should use another form of payment, ie, PayPal.

I accidentally left a 15% tip for GoFundMe on a large donation I'd made to my nephew's creative project. I was afraid it was a done deal since my credit card had been charged but was able to quickly find a link on their website to address the concern and got an immediate response that they would refund the tip to my credit card. I was appreciative of their interest in making sure my money was used as I intended.

hello, well my experience started because in my campaign I wanted to withdraw funds and the process was canceled, I communicated with the gofundme support and from the beginning they were very reciprocal and with a lot of availability to solve my problem, in the end he was able to transfer the funds to the beneficiary's account. Very grateful to all the team that attended us.

Unfortunately for me, this was my 2nd experience having to contact the help desk. I apologized for my ignorance/incapability of resolving my issues. Chandler responded and put me at ease. He made me feel as if he were there just waiting for my call and excited to show me how to resolve my hiccup. He carefully wrote simple step by step instructions to get me going again. I also received an email from Kas explaining if there were any other issues, to not ever hesitate to contact them. My 2nd unfortunate mishap turned into another wonderful, enlightening experience. I had an accidental charge of $2,522 on my credit card. I contacted GoFundMe via email. I was told I would be contacted within 30 minutes of emailing GoFundMe, and this was true. I was contacted by Casey from their team, who was very friendly and reassuring. She was able to efficiently and effectively handle the situation, which put my mind at ease. I received my refund within one business day.

I had an issue setting up my personal verification. Chris responded to my email within the time promised and told me how to fix the problem. It was something simple I had overlooked. Chris was polite, helpful, and reassured me not to hesitate to contact service professional if I have a problem. As a skeptical first time user I was nervous at first but after only about 2 hours after creating my Campaign I was amazed at the amount of attention I received. And with all the friends who took a few minutes tobread and share has made it known furthure than I would have imagined. And with its easy tonuse interface I find it very easy to navigate and manage. I would recomend this to anyone and everyone who has reason to reach out for help because the responses are over whelming.

They handled my problem there with an honest swiftness when the owner of the account said to get a refund. Our go fund me account was set up by my brother after my husband passed. It was a very easy process to navigate and in no time we were receiving the donations. My children and I have found great comfort in reading all the comments left by the donors... and their amazing generosity. When I went to go do a go fund me page there was a tipping that I wasn’t expected my , I try to put in zero for the tipping but it wouldn’t work so I paid the $10, when I send an email about it you guys didn’t even question me you just said you were refund me my $10, but I did not want to do that I was just so grateful that you didn’t treat me like an idiot

Gofundme is a popular way to send money to causes that interest you. I do feel like the fees might be high and they also now ask for tips, which I don't get. At any rate, it's a good way for people to raise money and reach people they wouldn't normally be able to reach.

I love how easy GoFundMe makes it to fundraise for certain events like a trip or raising money for a cause. All you have to do is go to the website and make a donation. I love that GoFundMe is all online so I can send it to all of my relatives and post it on my social media to have people support me. They make fundraising effortless. I have read many stories on GoFundMe. I have donated many times to people that I have read about raising funds on a GoFundMe page. I feel that they offer a wonderful service, helping those who have no other way to pay for any number of things. I understand that there is a fee to provide this widely viewed service, I just wish it could be adjusted depending on the reasons that money is being sought. Some people need every single dime that is donated to help them get through, others can "afford" to pay a larger fee.

A friend set up the page for me after I was scammed, and I was so nervous about it. But many friends and some donated and it means the world to me. Go Fund me helped me when I could not figure out how to transfer the money. They got back to me the next day! It was amazing, and the problem was fixed.

When i looked for a fundraising site go fund me was the best. The lowest fees, with the best reviews. Recently i had to contact customer service. They had a prompt response and resolved my issue within 24 hours! I highly recommend this sight for all of you fund raisers!

I was sunable to access my account for my withdrawal because my phone number was incorrect. I requested help via customer service and was immediatedly answered. Right after I verified my number I had a response as to what to do. It was amazing! It literally took a day. That's it! I love this site!

I contributed, through GoFundMe to the fund for the lady cyclist who was run down by a car during the 2018 Tour De Palm Springs, I took exception to the $15.00 tip to GoFundMe and that was later returned to my account as GFM had promised.

I found GoFudMe to be very simple to set up my photos, links, and sharing. Personally, I was raising money for my local Fire Dept. to have Oxygen saving masks for animals and reached my goal successfully! Once met, I mistakenly deleted my account before sharing. By contacting them, it was easy to recover and post my accomplishments.

GoFundMe asked me to submit a review. Negative: When I first tried to set up my account, it claimed my userid already existed. I did not set up a password. It would not let me set up a password. I clicked the link to send me an email to re-set my password. This never arrived. I checked my spam filter. Nothing. Positive: I emailed customer support and told them the re-set password email never arrived. A customer service representative emailed me the re-set password link. Though she did say "the emails probably got stuck in your spam filter." {... so kind of negative cuz I'm not an idiot ...) Go Fund Me is running on completely average!!

GoFundMe's platform is excellent - you can add photos and videos in the story area and perks too. It's easy to use. The best I've seen so far and I've tried 3 others. When I had questions, the response time was phenomenal, friendly and supportive.
