New subscriptions for SafeSync by Trend Micro have been suspended as of January 31, 2016. Any subscriptions which were purchased or renewed prior to this date will remain operational for current subscribers only through January 31, 2017. All stored backup files will need to be downloaded before the end of service for that account. For example, if a customer purchased a subscription in October, 2015, their renewal would come in October, 2016. They would need to backup their files to another computer or service by that date in order to prevent the backups from being lost. Current customers wishing to learn more about how this change affects them are counseled to visit Trend Micro’s SafeSync End of Life and End of Service page. The Review Team advises all current customers to verify the date of their subscription to prevent data loss.
