eMaint is a CMMS software company with nearly four decades in business. The company has been recognized with awards like “Product of the Year” from Plant Engineering, as well as a nod for good customer support from Gartner. The software manages multiple aspects of maintenance management. eMaint offers a product demo and 24/7 live chat on the website.
eMaint’s dashboard is easy to navigate and to identify where things are and need to go. The software is versatile with many options and functions available. However, some customers do find the variety of functionality to be overwhelming.
Clients have stated that customer service reps are responsive and very good at troubleshooting and working through issues. eMaint also has interactive training modules and courses available. Other companies like Limble are also noted to provide good support; however, agents are only available during business hours.
There are different levels of user access available. This feature enables customers to store sensitive upper level information, while being able to choose which users have access to which pieces of information. However, this feature is not exclusive to eMaint, as other companies like UpKeep also provide various options for user access.
eMaint is available via mobile, but many customers have said that this needs work. The main complaints are that it is not user friendly, doesn’t work on many tablets, and is slow. Compared to other companies like Fiix, which has prioritized mobile development, eMaint cannot effectively compete in this arena.
Multiple customers complained that the onboarding and implementation process is overwhelming. This does not bode well for any software company, as far as retention of users and renewal of services.
Customers have stated they would like to be able to format PO or WO and mass delete assets or other items. It also seems that Excel reports are only available in older formats (Excel 2003, .xls) and that formatting on reports is poor and cannot be adjusted. These gaps in functionality are not acceptable in today’s development environment, and is a significant consideration for customers to reflect on.
eMaint covers all the bases of a basic CMMS software. Compared to other brands like Fiix and UpKeep, it can stand up within the industry and is a credible solution. With that said, the company’s website is underwhelming (especially compared to other more modern companies), and the complaints about functionality and difficulty by existing customers should not be dismissed lightly.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
