CareerOneStop lets you search existing jobs and careers by occupation or location or you can view career profiles, career videos, and occupation comparisons. If you’re just starting your job search, you can take an interest assessment, skills assessment, or work values assessment.
You can plan your career by setting goals, researching salaries, and researching licensed occupations and professional development opportunities through CareerOneStop. The Career Certification Finder tool shows a red hot pepper icon next to particularly in-demand certifications to aid seekers in identifying high-potential career paths.

While CareerOneStop can point you in the right direction (or multiple directions!) with its database of 22 occupation categories and hundreds of certification-based jobs within each of those, CareerOneStop itself is not an actual certifying organization.
The Bottom Line
CareerOneStop’s vision is to be the nation’s most trustworthy electronic provider of workforce information tools and resources and we say it delivers on that promise. It provides resources surrounding all job-related topics including career exploration, insurance, financial aid, disaster recovery, and taking the next steps after being laid off. And the information is relevant, comprehensive, and personalized.
However, while CareerOneStop gives you all the information you need to pursue a career certification such as the certification name, certifying organization, and test details, it does not actually test and sign off on career certifications.
