Bubbl is a ride service available in seven U.S. Cities. It was started in 2016 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, by a group of people including the former Dallas Deputy Chief of Police, Craig Miller. Its “Safest Ride in Town” motto is because all drivers are retired or off-duty first-responders.
The bubbl ride service has a minimum fare of $17 and is available in the following service areas:

This provider puts an emphasis on safety. It only hires active or retired certified first responders, which is especially helpful for children (over 8), seniors, and special needs passengers.
All cars are visibly branded and easily recognizable, and video recorded. The video covers inside and outside the bubbl, and a dispatcher monitors the driver in real time.
Drivers at bubble are not contractors. They are employed by the company and are accountable to company standards and management.
Drivers have to pass a strict vetting process, which includes full county, station, and national criminal background checks. It also includes an interview, drug screening, and a motor vehicle report.
All bubbl rides are pre-scheduled. Users can schedule in the bubbl app, online, or over the phone, although a booking fee will apply.
Bubbl offers pre-paid package discounts. They are transferable and don’t expire, but you need to contact customer support for information.
Bubbl offers rides only on weekdays, and only from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. This isn’t the best availability.
This ride service isn’t going to be the cheapest choice to get yourself or your loved one from point A to point B. The focus is really on safety and driver qualification, rather than price. The minimum fare is $17 and there are add-on fees for extra stops, etc.
Currently, bubbl is only available in a few locations around the country.
Hopefully, this service will catch on and become more widely available.
Same-day rides aren’t guaranteed because everything is pre-scheduled. They are based on availability.
