Carvana is an Arizona-based online-only car sales company with an inventory of 17,700 certified pre-owned cars.
Users browse, shop, and even finance and purchase their car online, without visiting a car dealership. Payment is accepted via checking or savings account ACHs or cashier’s checks. Although this is an online purchase, you can’t pay with a credit card. You also have the option of buying a car with Carvana or third-party financing.
Prices are often below Kelley Blue Book value, and the company offers a hassle-free purchase process with haggle-free price for each vehicle. There are no hidden fees. Each car is shown with an “out-the-door price” transparently displayed for each vehicle listing. This price includes the following:
Carvana service areas:
Customers have a couple options to complete their Carvana Experience:
When you make a purchase on Carvana, buyers still take a 15-20 minute test drive upon either delivery or pickup.
To emphasize the easy, introvert-friendly, pressure-free experience, each pickup location is referred to as a car vending machine rather than a dealership. Carvana Vending Machine locations include the following:
With Carvana, a new car can be fully purchased online at your own pace through the site. The site offers an online showroom-type experience with a unique HD 360-degree photo experience for every vehicle — with interior and exterior images of the actual vehicle listed.
While shopping, each car profile includes a free CarFax vehicle history report. You can also compare it to other models in your area. With an account, you can save favorite vehicles or a search that you commonly run. This online-only experience will be a plus for anyone who wishes to avoid a high-pressure sales experience.
Carvana is very selective about the cars they choose to sell. Less than 10 percent of cars appraised are selected for the site.
All of the site’s inventory are Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and are put through a 150 point mechanical inspection. Additionally, vehicles that have been in a reported accident or have had structural or frame damage are never accepted.
The inspection process includes an oil change and a new coat of paint, wax, and seal. The company even suggests that you take your car to a certified mechanic to check it out during your test own period if you want.
Although you aren’t truly purchasing a car sight unseen because of the online 3D showroom experience, you can still get peace of mind from Carvana’s return policy. Whether you pick up your car at a Carvana Vending Machine or you have it delivered, everyone gets a seven-day probationary period, which they call a Test Own. If you aren’t satisfied for any reason, you can cancel the purchase. Just contact customer support before 5 PM EST on the seventh day from your pickup or delivery.
Carvana will contact you on the sixth day to check on your satisfaction. If you’re not happy, they will pick it up and issue a refund.
There are a couple of things that customers should know about this policy:
Each purchase comes with a 100 day/4,189 mile Worry Free Guarantee through SilverRock, which covers basic and powertrain components. Carvana found that most people drive 41.89 miles on average in a given day, so the warranty is meant to actually last the average driver the full 100 days.
You can also opt for an added Extended Carvana Care warranty for an additional fee, if it’s offered on your vehicle.
Both warranties include roadside assistance and customers can contact customer service to add the extended warranty during your seven-day test own.
If you live in a local area or can meet in one, you can trade-in or sell your car to Carvana. You can fill out a quick appraisal online to get a no-haggle offer.
The company even hangs on to your trade in for the 7-day guarantee period, in case your new car doesn’t work out. However, if you did drive over 400 miles, you will have to pay the mileage fee before getting your trade-in back.
No trade-ins if you live outside the local area and get direct delivery.
Trade-ins don’t have to be up to Carvana’s rigorous quality standards. They just have to be able to safely do a test drive during the appraisal appointment, have a working odometer, and be newer than 1992.
Carvana offers its own car loan financing, serviced by Bridgecrest. Users can set financing terms with interactive dials and upload a few documents to complete their financing offer. You can even sign online.
Minimum requirements for financing:
Although bad credit is accepted, approval is based on your credit history, annual income, and how much the vehicle costs. After you fill out a basic application for pre-approval, you will be able to see your personalized financing terms and monthly payment under each vehicle listing. Pre-approval is good for 45 days and only does a soft credit inquiry.
Once a customer chooses a car and selects to go forward with the buying process, then a hard credit check will be performed.

Carvana isn’t quite everywhere yet. If you live outside of a local delivery area (listed above), then you can choose to fly to pick it up and drive it back or pay for direct delivery, which costs $399.
While the fee is not a part of the actual car purchase itself, it can be included in your financing.
Regardless of how you take possession of the car, you are still eligible for the seven-day money back guarantee. The only catch is that if it was a direct delivery, the $399 fee is not refundable. Additionally, it can take 5-15 days for the car to be picked up. If you want to exchange for a different car, the first vehicle has to be confirmed as picked up before you can order another one, so you will be left waiting for a little while.
While it is convenient that Carvana offers its own financing, it doesn’t allow anyone to co-sign with you. If you need to have a co-signed loan, then you can still shop with Carvana, but you will just have to finance through a third party option like a credit union or other lenders.
If you live outside of the local area, it can take a bit to get your car due to unexpected delays like transportation or weather issues.
Additionally, before your car is loaded up to be delivered to you, a pre-delivery inspection is performed, including a test drive. If any cosmetic or mechanical issues are found, there may be a delay while they fix it.
If there are any delays, a customer service rep will contact you and you will get updates via email, phone, or text.
Carvana is a haggle-free company. Cars are competitively priced and free of dealer or document fees, but also set prices are non-negotiable.
If you are the type who would like leeway to negotiate your trade-in, this is not the place for you. As part of the company’s effort to provide a hassle-free experience, after you fill out the online appraisal, that is your final offer. There is no price matching or haggling for a trade-in credit value.
While it is clearly great to deal with Carvana and its customer-first policies, it is hard to say what the delivery experience will be like with its local delivery partners across the country.
KBB value I just checked last week and this shows about $2000 less than what the details show on the KBB website itself. Very low offer compared to what the vehicle value states.
I love their car vending machines and thing they’re taking a very disruptive approach to car buying which is effective.
Signed an agreement to purchase a 16K dollars vehicle from Carvana and got the notification that the car is delayed the day before it supposed to arrive. Chat with Carvana if they could compensate me for a rental car since I have to drive far for a job this weekend. They replied that delays are uncommon but no they will not help and the best option I have is change vehicle if I want....Offered no other solutions. I am sorry but I expect more from a multi-billion dollar company and especially when I have an agreement to spend 16K+ dollars with that company. I am currently working for a multi-billion dollar company and this is definitely not how you treat customers.
Hi my name is Bryan and I recently purchased an M35h. The last four of the VIN is ****. This is going to be a mixed review; there were many ups and downs throughout the whole process. We currently reside in Oregon and we drove about 10 hours to California to pick up our potential certified used car. Our Carvana advocate, TJ, was early and was very professional, friendly, and informative. What we liked most about TJ throughout the process was his great personality and his ease at which he handled our newly purchased vehicle; high praise for TJ! Before signing the contract with TJ however, we looked over the car and inspected it for visual scratches, structural integrity, tires, etc. Honestly, neither myself nor my husband found anything immediately wrong with the car; not even 30 minutes into driving this car did we find out that the climate control heater did not operate at all, nor was the coolant fluid filled up or topped off before or after Carvana’s said 150 point inspection. To be frank, it is still questionable whether or not an inspection was actually done there’s no proof whatsoever that the individual who was stated to have done the inspection actually did the inspection. My question is, what did your guys actually check? The disclosed scuff marks that you guys so said we’re on the steering wheel was actually heavy dirt, had somebody actually taking the time to remove it. That’s just one sad example of your guy’s commitment to quality control. On our way home, we had to visit Infiniti of Roseville to buy coolant which cost $20 out-of-pocket, we had to purchase $50 worth of windshield wipers out of pocket, a wheel alignment out of pocket, and you also gave us a second intelligent key that does not work. I think it’s absolutely deplorable that you allow a company to fix the aforementioned, yet all of these could have been avoided had a true 150 point inspection been conducted. To be fair, we feel that even though many issues have arisen, Silverrock fixed the issues. We are still in the process of receiving our refund for the above purchases. Unfortunately, due to where we currently live, we have to drive three hours to the nearest Infiniti dealership as Nissan is unable to do any sort of warranty work. Due to this, our car was not able to be serviced until Monday after we purchased the car (which was on a Wednesday), so we had one more day available for our 7 Day Test drive test trial. Honestly, we should have returned the car, but we did not because this particular model is what we wanted, we love the car in general, we love its capabilities, and we were not trying to make another 20 hour round-trip in two vehicles, to come home empty-handed. Fast forward to present day, our brand new Carvana car was in the shop for a total of 10 full days. After taking the car to the Infiniti dealership in Beaverton, Oregon, they realized that there was a clog in the heater core AND the automatic transmission cooler, as well they had to replace the thermostat and a rear sub-frame hydraulic bushing. Carvana also sold us a car that had a failed third brake light which, in the state of California, is illegal. I feel it’s high time that your better business bureau rating went down from an A+ to a B-. I can’t imagine what it’s like for somebody who does not have any sort of car expertise, someone who does not know what to look for, and someone who unsuspectingly trusts your word to find out that nothing you have promised is accurate or true. The only part of this process that was awesome was the part where we got our car delivered in California, meeting TJ, and the customer service that we’ve received through Carvana, bridgecrest, and SilverRock. In the future, we will make sure to have our own professional inspection done on any car we are interested in. I would like it to be noted that as a prior military service member, I fought for this country so we can live in a free country with millions of benefits throughout society. I fought for the little guy, the ones who can’t protect themselves, and I fought for those who don’t have a voice. I fought for the opposite of what Carvana provided. You provided the means to purchase a car, but what you truly provided was inconsistency, misinformation, shotty work, and a miss-use of the public’s trust. I give Carvana 2 stars: one solely on the basis that TJ represented your company to a “T” as well as your customer service throughout this entire process. I would give one more star if there was a video of an individual performing the 150 point inspection, I would give another had these issues been addressed within the day, and a fifth star for correcting this major lapse in business practices, i.e. compensation for the 6 hours spent driving to the repair facility TWICE, time lost at work while coordinating the repairs, etc. Thank you, Bryan.
They are very specific with what they will repair on your vehicle. I had a significant amount of rust on the frame and requested help with paying for repair and prevention, but they declined. They also automatically charge $350 for title and registration. My fees totaled $182. I requested to have my specialty plates transferred and they never communicated that they couldn't, and after talking to a rep for a while, he explained that they won't cover the $40 specialty cost, which is still significantly less than $350. They went ahead and sent me registration for normal plates but never communicated that they didn't do the transfer. Overall, I got what I wanted, but with lots of red tape, and little explanation.
I bought a car the week before Christmas it’s February 11th and I’m currently still waiting on my registration. How’d they make this right? Oh they rented me a sedan without all wheel drive, when I bought a SUV with all wheel drive because I live in Maine. There have been multiple snow storms this week so I’ve been in a vehicle that doesn’t make me feel safe and have had to dig my rental car out of my driveway and drive down to the enterprise location to dig out my SUV there multiple times so that when I can FINALLY drive my car it won’t be iced in by a couple feet of snow. Hands down the most stressful car buying experience of my life . I’ve called multiple times to remedy this issue and haven’t received call backs with the exception of one woman who did at least have the courtesy to follow through with a call back.
I went online Friday night to purchase a car from Carvana. Saturday morning I had a voicemail that said I had been approved and could pick it up Monday. I signed a few papers with a friendly customer representative. Then put the coin in the vending machine which my daughter and I both thought was very cool. It came with a full tank of gas and goodies in the cupholder.
I purchased a vehicle from Carvana recently and every 2 weeks I'm taking it to the shop. I satisfied at first with the overall experience, but since I'm so sorry I bought into this Vehicle. I seriously believe I was sold a lemon. I will be taking the car for repairs for the 6th time and I haven't had the car 4 months. Wouldn't recommend buying a toy car from them.
BUYER BEWARE. GO TO A DEALER IN PERSON AND SKIP THIS HASSLE. I recently purchased a car through Carvana. the initial purchase seemed easy and quick. I am happy with my car, but the service that this company has is not up to standards, and I had to spend $150 out of pocket to get the car driveable. The communication, or lack there of was the first of many issues. They are trying to be accommodating and use text for correspondence, which would be nice if they actually replied...When I texted questions, they went unanswered. I had been told my car would be delivered by a third party and they would contact me in advance. I was contacted at 5.10pm on the day my car arrived and was told that it would arrive within the hour. Thankfully I was in town, but we did have to change our schedule to ensure we could meet the driver. Three hours later the driver arrived and it was pitch black out, but could see that the car was covered in white powder and scratches everywhere. We took it to a professional detailer the next day, and found that the windows were covered in a strange goo like substance that left the windows all smeared and impacted the ability to see through it for driving. This had to be professionally buffed off. This cost $150. I did try to get Carvana to cover this, but they didnt seem to even listen to what I was saying, just that the pictures didnt show enough damage... the issue was that there was a goo on the windows. I also want to note that the car arrived and I didnt have a license plate for nearly 24 hours. I called and requested one and it was sent with the wrong name. They also claimed to have brand new tires on the front. This is untrue. They are about 50% worn. Although I am happy with my car, I would never use Carvana again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Most photos included are after the car was washed, but show the goo and the scratches.

I got a very bad experience from Carvana, when I purchased my car(Volvo S60 2017)I complained the 4 tyres are very bad, but they told me they are not provide the new tyres. That answer is coming after 7 days , so I loss my warranty. one of the tyre was brockened yesterday . I need to bye 4 tyres because other tyres also very bad condition ,Carvana advertising they provide a lot of warranty, garrenty extra but after you bye car they are talking very badly
I almost did not buy a car from Carvana because of reviews like this one on sites like these. Gosh, I’m glad I didn’t listen. I live in St. Louis which turns out to be a hub. Turns out the hub is like 10 miles away. Who knew? Anyway, I researched this company and process TO DEATH. I researched Carvana (including the business model) AND the best used cars to buy. And, I bought one....from Carvana. First, in regard to “transparency” (as referred to in this review), if you have a question... CALL THEM. It’s that simple. The customer service was amazing the few times I had questions and to verify things for the purchase (such as the down payment.) So, fyi, there is no “prepayment” penalty. I honest to goodness see no downside to buying from this company. The cars that I was considering to buy from Carvana were competitively priced to similar used cars available to purchase locally. I sat here and combed through what I wanted...obsessively. But we finally pulled the trigger and just had a Honda Civic EX delivered!!! 24,000 miles. Single owner. $14,200 loaded. There are not enough words to explain how happy I am with the purchase. There were scratches on the car that were all shown in the pictures on the Carvana site. There were no surprises. The transporter/contact was Katrina. She was SO SWEET! I’m pretty sure I hugged her 10 times. She was enthusiastic and smiled the whole time. She verified my husband’s identify and insurance and handed us the keys to test drive it. We returned with huge smiles on our faces. She quickly went over documents. WE GOT THE TITLE (I have read about many people having issues with this but it most definitely was not our experience.) I’m telling you what, I will NEVER go to another dealership. Everything was fair. The process exceedingly exceeded our expectations. We are taking the car to a Honda dealership to get it thoroughly checked over (like we would do no matter where we purchased a car from.) I could NOT be happier!!! My suggestions: Better pictures of the inside of the car. The ability to zoom in on the car, as well. Our car was exactly as expected, but I could never see the inside adequately enough. I definitely think the current “viewability” could be improved. But other than that, it was fast, easy, simple, exciting, and perfect. Zero problems. 10 stars! : )
1st car I got was beautiful, but was loaded with electrical problems, so they let me exchange it no questions asked, I was very disappointed because that was the car I really wanted, but I found another one, it too was awesome looking but upon driving it I felt the transmission struggling and almost left me stranded, I thought these cars were looked at by ase certified mechanics and 150 point inspections done, I promise whoever looked at the 2 cars I tried to buy A: didn’t do their job or B: not qualified as carvana says, or even a combination of both, I am very dissatisfied with carvana and I feel as if they tried to purposely sell me junk,so now I’m without a car , hours of my time lost, and complete distrust for carvana. I Do Not recommend carvana in any capacity for purchasing a vehicle, they didn’t even offer an apology or resolve Shame on you, I will tell everyone about this experience as often as I can, I would have left zero stars if it would let me
Horrible. I had a car damaged in delivery so picked out a new car and it has been rescheduled 4 times at this point. Horrible service I had friends who were looking at carvana and told them my experience and they ended up going else which is what I’m going to do as well
so I purchased a suv from carvana in December. it was delivered in two weeks. I had to change my date just to one day after the original which was completely fine with me. they called me 24 hours before letting me know of the delay so I wasn't upset or angry. the truck got delivered and I noticed battery acid all over the battery. they were quick to help out and fix it. the costumer service is on point. I then ran passed my registration temp plate. I wasn't notified that there was an issue until I called from my vacation on the beach. I was aggravated but then I got onto the phone with dave. he was so helpful and gave me every detail possible of the issue . thankful I was able to get someone so caring and helpful. the issue Is fixed and its all smooth sailing from here!!!! the truck is great! had more features then it said online which is even more of a surprise. also the fact they drop the truck off at your house is a huge bonus! I will absolutely be buying another vehicle from them in the future when I'm ready! if you hate car dealers and dealing with the back and fourth bs...check out carvana
I love my new car and believe I got a fair trade in value for my old one, however I did experience some problems with Carvana. I was told that in Indiana a new plate/registration would take about 2 weeks. I got my new registration after 7 weeks, three days after my temporary plates expired. No new plate came with it. I contacted Carvana and they said I was supposed to keep my old plate. The driver that delivered my new car and took my old one said no trip to the BMV was required, that they handled all of that. He made no mention of removing my old plates. So here I am off the the BMV to find out how much it will cost me for a replacement plate. I'm not very happy about all this, however, everything else went smoothly and I got exactly the car I wanted.
Might the best car buying experience ever. Easy to use website, large selection, friendly customer service, and best buying experience (no pushy salesmen.) Bought from them this summer and it was a great experience.
I was initially skeptical about buying a car totally online. But, as I buy everything else online, it started to make sense. I know that "no-haggle" dealers ofter have higher prices that traditional dealers, so I went into it with that in mind. I did a lot of research. I found the car I wanted on Carvana's website. I cross-checked it at Edmunds.com and Kelly Blue Book to make sure the price was right, and it was fair. I applied for their financing (soft-pull), and was approved, though at a higher rate than what I probably could have got somewhere else; I just wanted to make the process smooth. I input information on my trade, easily, and they offered me an amount for my car which was very fair. I scheduled a pickup for 5 days later. I went to the "vending machine" and spoke to the friendly Carvana employee. Within 2 minutes, she had my information pulled up and gave me my giant coin to put into the vending machine. Upon inserting the coin, I could watch as the VM retrieved my car and, after 2 minutes of theatrics, deposited it into a bay where I could inspect it and drive off for a test drive. I drove it, inspected it, and found it to be satisfactory. I signed a few documents, the Carvana employee took 10 minutes to inspect and test drive my trade, and within 30 minutes, I drove home. NO haggling. NO predatory finance manager coercion. NO dealer bate and switch. NO sleezy sales people talking you into something you don't want. For this introvert, I will NEVER go back to the old way of buying a car! LOVE it and can't say enough good things about the whole process.
Car was delivered with multiple interior/exterior scratches then mentioned when i bought the car. ALSO the vehicle came delivered with a crack bumper.. that wasn't stated in the vehicle description. I contacted carvana several times. The warranty sucks. I called Silver rock Warranty and carvana many times. I've been back in forth with them for at least a month now. My bumper was supposed to get fixed. I called the repair facility and silver rock both are clueless on what to do. So looks like my bumper won't be getting fixed cause its been more than a month. im supposed to be waiting for a call back .. for them to approve it and send the money over but they're both on different pages. I did my part by getting the estimate and carvana told me that the repair shop and silver rock will do the rest. False. It's been a complete crap show between both companies.
I had an amazing experience with Carvana! I got to browse cars from the comfort of my bed with my dogs beside me. Upfront, I knew what my down payment and my monthly payment would be on all of the cars I was interested in, and the costs were reasonable for my credit score. From there, the experience was only made better by the excellent customer service I received over the phone and in person from my delivery driver! My car was dropped off clean and beautiful, and runs as expected. They also left some goodies in a Carvana tumbler cup for me in my new cup holder. Best car buying experience EVER
Carvana is a scam. Service stinks. They are used car salespeople with an app. They say anything and you never deal with one person. Story is always changing. They change the rules as you move through the purchase. They only deliver to certain places and will not keep up what they advertise if you live outside areas which cost too much in time and gas to reach. They will not tell you this. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the NYS Attorney General for false advertising which cost me time and money. I am canceling my purchasing after everything was confirmed, because they do not want to deliver the car. Hope this doesn't happen to you.
i recently purchased a car from carvana after going to many dealerships. super easy breezy experience. i am young and they were very efficient in explaining anything i had questions about which i appreciate so very much. the staff is incredibly helpful and kind as well as consistent. they even sent a handwritten letter in the mail thanking me for the purchase and is sure to be there through any questions or concerns. although the car was not very clean inside/windows when i purchased it (not that huge of a deal). so thankful for carvana and will be back for my next vehicle purchase.
There is no way Carvana provides a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. I had to go through 3 cars before I found one in acceptable condition. Even then, none of the fluids and filters weren't changed, the battery was dead and tires were bald. There were a host of cobwebs in the engine compartment. The 3rd car was low mileage, and in fairly good condition, so I opted to keep the car and do all the maintenance myself. The registration was a nightmare, where I finally demanded they send me all the paperwork, so I could register the vehicle myself. What a pain... I will never purchase a vehicle online ever again.
Never again! I found and ordered a vehicle prior to Christmas, which was scheduled for delivery on 12/27. Shortly prior to the 27th, I was notified that there had been a delay, and the delivery wasn’t possible until 1/2, a week later. It is now 1/2, and I receive notification hours prior to delivery that again there is a delay, and I have been re-scheduled for 1/4 at 6pm. It will be pitch-black dark at 6pm. So now TWICE have I changed my schedule for a delivery that doesn’t seem that this company intends to make. I can assure you that they set up financing with no delay so they get their money. A call to customer service revealed that the vehicle is scheduled to leave their facility at 5pm—it was supposed to be delivered to me at 4pm—how does that work? Buyer beware! If you want an actual vehicle, instead of pictures of one, I suggest you go elsewhere.

I bought a car from Carvana in 2015 and had a lovely experience. Recently I tried to purchase a second. I was literally lied to by one of their representatives. The company refused to honor what their representative told me. This was all after I had to return an electric vehicle for the battery not being in acceptable condition and was trying to purchase a different one. Uuugghh. Carvana has gotten to big to be good I guess.
I had a few minutes to see the ABUNDANCE of positive reviews on the site, and honestly am finding all these 5 star ratings "Too good" to be true. Its almost apparent they are fake, and paid for. My car arrives after 14 days of "Shipping". (In October) With two flat tires. Just dropped off, no delivery whatsoever. Since it too such a long time to ship, my 7 day test drive had expired. After informing the staff several times about this issue, no one corrected the 7 day timeframe to my knowledge, nor offered to correct the two flat tires I sent pictures of. Then, withheld my temporary plates for 14 days, (which would not allow any testdrive of the car whatsoever) because they "Lost my paperwork". After re-submitting the paperwork at least 3 times, they finally released my temporary plates so I could test drive, only to then refuse any repairs to the car. I was able to drive the car for two weeks, until those temporary plates ran out---Only to be told I would need to just wait on the actual plates to arrive. WELL----It has been 4 months! 4 months of constant phone calls, chats, and constant request to expedite this. Carvana graciously offered to reserve me a rental car at a location over 4 hours away! (After requesting them to relocate reservation, I was denied) After arriving to the rental car location, they didnt have my reservation information from carvana properly, and would not supply a car. So I drove home---another 4 hours with no car. They then offered $250---as I have been out a car I paid for for over 4 months.
Carvana was extremely easy to work with and delivered a product better than expected for cheaper than I could find anywhere else.
Asking price was too high, while trade-in value was way too low.
The best place to sell a car, hot more than most dealers were going to give. Awesome. Sold my car in less than 25 minutes.
Good for pricing but still some work to be done on the license and title part also no one qualified to show you options on cars or to even take license plates off
This company is awesome! I have no complaints. I knew my down payment when i selected the car i wanted. I only needed proof of insurance if i wanted the car delivered to my front door.
They delayed my pickup three times. Then the registration wasn’t completed until 2 months after I bought the car. They gave me a rental car, but it was a truck and I bought a car because I had a truck that was not gas efficient. The only good thing that was a positive was seeing the car come out of the vending machine.
It has been over two months and still no tag. Now I have to get a rental car for and undetermined amount of time.
I had a truck that was supposed to be delivered today (Friday) at 11:30. It didn't pass smog, the back up camera didn't work, they didn't have a key for the rear cover. I jumped through hoops getting them what they needed and in return, I was on hold for hours. I was supposed to be delivering Christmas packages for needy families tonight and tomorrow with my newly acquired used truck. Instead I had to get a rental to play Santa Clause. They did get me a rental at the lowest rate they could so instead of making 1 trip I will make 5-6. No one seemed to care at all if I did or didn't get the truck today or for that matter anytime soon. I am very disappointed with the whole experience. I would NOT recommend Carvana to anyone. It has been a huge disappointment.
Where do I begin...first off the vehicle was not available when said due to presumably a repair needed due to an in house problem. After multiple inquiries, it was said the bed of the truck needed to be replaced and it would be available at X date. Once vehicle received and I asked about the bed replacement, I was told they have no record of such a repair...I negotiated that the shipping would be 150 dollars off but that it would be credited after the 7 day acceptance period once receiving the vehicle. I asked for email confirmation of this and received it but when I went back to search for the mail it was nowhere to be found??? Needless to say, it has been 6 months with no check yet in the mail. Then...I was told the vehicle was serviced... with putting less than 1K miles on it, I changed the oil and it was very apparent from the looks of the oil that it had not been changed in the allotted service time much less within the last thousand miles. So thanks Carvana, I learned a very good lessen- stay away from your business!!!!!
Worse car buying experience of my life. I ordered a Mercedes 550 CLS. They called me at the last minute to cancel my delivery 3 times due to a suspension issue with the car so I cancelled the contract. I found another CLS I liked and they called me to say they had a logistic problem but would deliver it a week later, just got a text message that they have yet another delay. I’m done! Never again!
Worst car buying experience ever. Bought a 2016 bmw 4 series from them. Had 3 delays before the got here. No explanations whatsoever just a call saying that the car would be delayed a week followed by 3 days then by another week. One of the excuse was the weather, it was only slightly raining that day and cleared up pretty quickly. The car had more scratches than described when I got it. Had problems with tire pressure sensors and a tail light not working. Ended up returning the car because I didn’t want to deal with the headache. Never buying from them again.
bought a 2017 Alfa Romeo off Carvana and got a text message before delivery day saying the car is delayed. It was delayed a Week and then when I called Carvana they said the truck broke down. I had to wait a week and the night before the delivery again I got a text message saying car is delayed again and they will call me in 24 hours. It was delayed another 4 days because of another truck breakdown. I was so disappointed with the service that I ended up returning the car and when I called in to see what options I have the Carvana lady told me that I can cancel it. They don’t appreciate your bussiness. Very Dissatisfied. I will never buy a car from them
As of Friday, I will be legally unable to operate my car in my state, because of Carvanas total lack of transparency during the registration process. Not only did I not receive the packet within a few days of delivery: it took almost 2 full weeks and several calls....only to be told they were backlogged. Now...here i am 45 days out and the temp plate expires later this week and Carvana FINALLY sent the title transfer yesterday...to the wrong business office.
Everything was great until my temporary plate expired. There was a problem between Carvana & the State of Illinois. I called Carvana & they put me in a rental car until the plate transfer issue was fixed.
So far its been kind of rough...they had an excuse for drop off being when they promised. The vehicle came with damage that was not mentioned, the vehicle was not cleaned inside or outside. Honestly not sure why they would even offer a car for sale in the condition it was in.
Very nice, the customer service is very accommodating to the customers
Disappointing. Promised me 3 vehicles. Was approved through Car and as a referral from LendingTree. On 3 different occasions the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up, paperwork signed only to be given excuses about delays 'roadwork', 'couldn't find the car It misses the truck', paperwork not signed even though it was signed multiple times. I finally decided NOT to sign again. A month or so later I get notice in the mail stating 'carvana' couldn't approve 'me'? Laughably. The interest rate is unscrupulous.
Superb the service was outstanding. The delivery was very exciting
I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle and had my delivery date scheduled. During Carvana's prep of the vehicle, they identified a potentially critical engine issue. They immediately contacted me, advised they were bringing the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis and repair and offered ne the options of waiting to see the outcome of the dealer findings or I could go back into their website and if I located an alternate vehicle, they would handle all charges and contact updates. I have since found another vehicle and it is scheduled to be delivered next week.
I purchased a car from Carvana in August 2019 and by December I need a replacement battery that Carvana won't pay for because it's a wear and tear item as they called it. They claim they tested the battery before the car was sold to me but it good bad is 4 months, confused and frustrated. Now, I have to shell out $140 for a battery after I just made my car payment, thanks Carvana for making this a merry Christmas.
Don’t waste your time here Be aware! Terrible customer service and executive team Lisa, I would not reccommend Carvana to anyone. Unprofessional staff. My car delayed twice. The car that I recieved was so dirty. 150 point inspection? I don't think so. Waiting for my register for 2 months and I sent a loan check to them but they never deposit it, untill it expired. Two months later they ask me to go get another check I have to went through a lot of troubles to apply for another loan. The executive team Lisa which is the highest level, she said, It is what it is, we want your money, there is nothing that she can do. Really? Carvana? At this point, as a customer I feel really disappointed, it's not event my fault and I feel that they under value the customer and they don't really care how you feel. DO NOT BUY THE CAR FROM CARVANA The only thing that I like is the technology vending machine it was nice experince but not worth the time.
Carvana just does not tell the truth! They tell you they only sell "accident free" vehicles. This just is not the case. I bought a luxury car from them a little over a year ago. I had the car a little more than 2 months and it was in the dealership service center than my garage. I finally decided, I had bought a lemon and called Carvana just to see what they would tell me. At first they pulled an "updated" carfax that showed I was in an accident with the car. I have not been in an accident in over 25 years. It turns out the previous owner was and they bought the car from that person and before doing their do diligence to verify it was "accident free" they sold it to me. Circumstances forced me to give them the car back and buy a different car from them since they no longer had my trade in. I ended up taking on an extra 10k in debt because I had on real other choice. I would have sued Carvana but I have in a cancer battle and simply needed a car at the time. DO NOT USE CARVANA
Two bad vehicles in a row. First was a 2017 Civic which looked like a dog vomited all over the cabin when it was delivered. Declined receipt. Second was a 2016 Mini Cooper. Different vehicle arrived than what was advertised. We were desperate for a vehicle at this point, so the company offered to replace severely sun-damaged lights, grill, and replace a malfunctioning drivers' side seat heater. Partially reimbursed for the rental car after weeks from filing a claim (Silverrock insurance is a joke). Then discovered the car wasn't serviced prior to delivery and we incurred an additional $250 for fluids flush and replacement. This was verified by the car diagnostics. After a month, we still don't have our permanent registration and the temp tags expired two weeks ago. In total, we've spent more than 15 hours on the phone with the company's reps.
The New Way to buy a Car ...YES
We were new to country and needed a new reliable vehicle; we saw the ad on TV for Carvana. We put in the info needed for pre-qualified. We were pleasantly surprised to approved for what we were. Well we searched and found a vehicle up coming. We put the deposit required, when we got to see pics we went through the process needed to get the vehicle. Well that was difficult and stressful given they only give you so much time depending if your paying cash, getting loan on your own or financing through Carvana; we got it done tho. Then came the drop off time, well they had problems on their end getting it delivered to the HUB, so we had to basically pick a new day that worked for us which is only on the weekends, so we had to wait a whole other week. When it finally got delivered it came on truck with Carvana name, the guy who delivered was great, all the staff were good tho during the process and keeping us calm and collected as I said the initial getting documents and new date for delivery we were actually not very happy. Yet they did what was needed to get the vehicle to us. Once we got our new vehicle it was clean, detailing was good, smelled nice inside; Overall the vehicle exceeded our expectations. Fast forward 3 weeks, we noticed oil leaking, we called Carvana told them what was happening they told us we can take it anywhere we wanted including a dealer, well we did just that, it was noted that when Carvana did the oil change they didnt tighten the filter enough. Well Caravana covered the cost of topping up the oil (full synthetic might add) and all cost related to the oil and filter. Dealer had found the alignment wasn't done to specs, Carvana wouldn't cover this as its normal wear and tear ( after 3 weeks tho, hum) The under body was pressure wash best they could to get rid of the oil that had leaked. Overall were happy with our vehicle, were happy with how the staff had Carvana did whatever they could to ensure we got our vehicle and took all the time needed to ensure it could go as smoothly as it could within their control. Will be purchase again through Carvana you bet. The issues we had for us outweighs the pushy sales people at the dealers.
If you are purchasing a car in CT be aware they give you a temp plate which will expire about 3 weeks before the real plate arrives. They will not extend the temp plate for you. You will not be legally allowed to drive the car. They are aware of the delays getting plates but won’t tell you
