Carvana is an Arizona-based online-only car sales company with an inventory of 17,700 certified pre-owned cars.

Users browse, shop, and even finance and purchase their car online, without visiting a car dealership. Payment is accepted via checking or savings account ACHs or cashier’s checks. Although this is an online purchase, you can’t pay with a credit card. You also have the option of buying a car with Carvana or third-party financing.

Prices are often below Kelley Blue Book value, and the company offers a hassle-free purchase process with haggle-free price for each vehicle. There are no hidden fees. Each car is shown with an “out-the-door price” transparently displayed for each vehicle listing. This price includes the following:

  • Sticker price
  • Local taxes, title, registration (from your zip code)
  • Any extras, such as extended warranty, gap coverage, and delivery fee

Customers have a couple options to complete their Carvana Experience:

  • Pick it up at a local Carvana Vending Machine location (listed below).
  • Fly and drive it back. If you live outside of the extended service area, you can fly, with a one-way ticket to a Vending Machine location. Carvana will arrange to white glove ship your car to the Vending Machine you choose. Then, you pick it up and drive it home. The company will even reimburse you up to $200 for your flight expenses.
  • Meet within the local radius. They can help find a local mutual meeting spot. Reduce your delivery fee allow you to pick a specific day and time. No waiting around for direct delivery.
  • Direct Delivery Process. If you live outside the local area, a third-party delivery company will bring it to you, for a non-refundable $399 fee. It takes an estimated 5-15 business days. If you do opt for direct delivery, you will get a Registration Box with paperwork and temporary license plate via FedEx before your car arrives. To help you get your car registered before the temporary plates expire, the package even comes with a return label. Users should know that shipping is on an uncovered trailer. So, though your new car may leave Carvana in perfect condition with a fresh wash and wax, it might arrive a little dirty. A $50 gift card in your registration box to buy the first car wash or tank of gas.

When you make a purchase on Carvana, buyers still take a 15-20 minute test drive upon either delivery or pickup.

To emphasize the easy, introvert-friendly, pressure-free experience, each pickup location is referred to as a car vending machine rather than a dealership. Carvana Vending Machine locations include the following:

100 Percent Online Buying Experience

With Carvana, a new car can be fully purchased online at your own pace through the site. The site offers an online showroom-type experience with a unique HD 360-degree photo experience for every vehicle — with interior and exterior images of the actual vehicle listed.

While shopping, each car profile includes a free CarFax vehicle history report. You can also compare it to other models in your area. With an account, you can save favorite vehicles or a search that you commonly run. This online-only experience will be a plus for anyone who wishes to avoid a high-pressure sales experience.

High Quality Inventory

Carvana is very selective about the cars they choose to sell. Less than 10 percent of cars appraised are selected for the site.

All of the site’s inventory are Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and are put through a 150 point mechanical inspection. Additionally, vehicles that have been in a reported accident or have had structural or frame damage are never accepted.

The inspection process includes an oil change and a new coat of paint, wax, and seal. The company even suggests that you take your car to a certified mechanic to check it out during your test own period if you want.

Return and Warranty Policies

7 Day Return Policy

Although you aren’t truly purchasing a car sight unseen because of the online 3D showroom experience, you can still get peace of mind from Carvana’s return policy. Whether you pick up your car at a Carvana Vending Machine or you have it delivered, everyone gets a seven-day probationary period, which they call a Test Own. If you aren’t satisfied for any reason, you can cancel the purchase. Just contact customer support before 5 PM EST on the seventh day from your pickup or delivery.

Carvana will contact you on the sixth day to check on your satisfaction. If you’re not happy, they will pick it up and issue a refund.

There are a couple of things that customers should know about this policy:

  • 400-mile rule. Your test period comes with 400 free miles. If you go over that, you can still return the car, but there is a $1/mile fee.
  • Non-refundable Delivery Charge. If you had direct delivery because you live outside the local market, the $399 delivery fee is the only thing that won’t be refunded.
  • You can return or exchange the vehicle. You can even do up to two exchanges with week-long test drives. If you receive a third, then you forgo the chance to exchange it.
  • If the car has any modifications or damage, it can’t be returned.

100 Day Limited Warranty

Each purchase comes with a 100 day/4,189 mile Worry Free Guarantee through SilverRock, which covers basic and powertrain components. Carvana found that most people drive 41.89 miles on average in a given day, so the warranty is meant to actually last the average driver the full 100 days.

You can also opt for an added Extended Carvana Care warranty for an additional fee, if it’s offered on your vehicle.

Both warranties include roadside assistance and customers can contact customer service to add the extended warranty during your seven-day test own.

Sell or Trade-In Your Car

If you live in a local area or can meet in one, you can trade-in or sell your car to Carvana. You can fill out a quick appraisal online to get a no-haggle offer.

The company even hangs on to your trade in for the 7-day guarantee period, in case your new car doesn’t work out. However, if you did drive over 400 miles, you will have to pay the mileage fee before getting your trade-in back.

No trade-ins if you live outside the local area and get direct delivery.

Trade-ins don’t have to be up to Carvana’s rigorous quality standards. They just have to be able to safely do a test drive during the appraisal appointment, have a working odometer, and be newer than 1992.

Carvana Financing

Carvana offers its own car loan financing, serviced by Bridgecrest. Users can set financing terms with interactive dials and upload a few documents to complete their financing offer. You can even sign online.

Minimum requirements for financing:

  • At least 18
  • Make at least $10,000 yearly
  • No active bankruptcies

Although bad credit is accepted, approval is based on your credit history, annual income, and how much the vehicle costs. After you fill out a basic application for pre-approval, you will be able to see your personalized financing terms and monthly payment under each vehicle listing. Pre-approval is good for 45 days and only does a soft credit inquiry.

Once a customer chooses a car and selects to go forward with the buying process, then a hard credit check will be performed.

Delivery Fee

Carvana isn’t quite everywhere yet. If you live outside of a local delivery area (listed above), then you can choose to fly to pick it up and drive it back or pay for direct delivery, which costs $399.

While the fee is not a part of the actual car purchase itself, it can be included in your financing.

Regardless of how you take possession of the car, you are still eligible for the seven-day money back guarantee. The only catch is that if it was a direct delivery, the $399 fee is not refundable. Additionally, it can take 5-15 days for the car to be picked up. If you want to exchange for a different car, the first vehicle has to be confirmed as picked up before you can order another one, so you will be left waiting for a little while.

Single-Buyer Financing

While it is convenient that Carvana offers its own financing, it doesn’t allow anyone to co-sign with you. If you need to have a co-signed loan, then you can still shop with Carvana, but you will just have to finance through a third party option like a credit union or other lenders.

Possible Delays

If you live outside of the local area, it can take a bit to get your car due to unexpected delays like transportation or weather issues.

Additionally, before your car is loaded up to be delivered to you, a pre-delivery inspection is performed, including a test drive. If any cosmetic or mechanical issues are found, there may be a delay while they fix it.

If there are any delays, a customer service rep will contact you and you will get updates via email, phone, or text.

No-Negotiation Policy

Carvana is a haggle-free company. Cars are competitively priced and free of dealer or document fees, but also set prices are non-negotiable.

If you are the type who would like leeway to negotiate your trade-in, this is not the place for you. As part of the company’s effort to provide a hassle-free experience, after you fill out the online appraisal, that is your final offer. There is no price matching or haggling for a trade-in credit value.

Third-Party Delivery

While it is clearly great to deal with Carvana and its customer-first policies, it is hard to say what the delivery experience will be like with its local delivery partners across the country.

The Bottom Line

Carvana is an e-commerce platform that offers an easy car buying experience for people who don’t want to play games when car shopping. A technology friendly business model lets users avoid talking to any salespeople and truly buy a car online, even down to the auto loan. This is the car website that many used car shoppers have been dreaming of.

Honestly, the only reason why we were able to find “Bad” things about buying a car online with this company is because the site’s online FAQs are so transparent regarding the company’s standard procedures and customer service policies.

Most other car finders will not have the same types of cons because they do not offer a full-service experience.

I bought a 2018 Kia Forte from Carvana online. The process was super easy. It took 2 weeks from start to finish. I met the delivery driver 2 hours from my home. Completed the transaction and was back on the road in 30 minutes, including test drive. I received the tags within 2 weeks after the 7 day return period, but well before the temporary tags were set to expire. Great experience. Would definitely do this again.

Amazing experience with carvana! Ordering my vehicle was a breeze online with no hidden fees! Their finance company offered me a lower rate then my credit union. I did experience 1 delivery delay but we did get snow and Ice so I can’t blame carvana for that. I opted to pick my car up from their vending machine in Richmond, VA. What an amazing experience… soooo cool to watch. The car was detailed and super clean inside and out! My car was even nicer in person then on their website!!!! The guy who handled my paperwork was awesome and explained everything in detail. My car only had 1 key and no front license bracket. The gentleman dealing with my car had already put in tickets to address those issues and get them taken care of without me even having to request them. My car has been registered with DMV already and plates are being sent by FedEx and this is day 10 of having my car! Top notch service!! I’m definitely a huge fan!

To my experience the vehicles are not what they show online-there is more damage to the vehicles than shown. Where I live the drivers have told me they use the vehicles to run errands and the online mileage does not reflect the true mileage, because they use them -hence why you do not get what you think you are paying for. Plus, they included a strike three and you are out from purchasing. Apparently others have abused their system so they had to implement this system even if its carvanas fault. The staff where I live are not too friendly, as they pound on my door like they are getting ready to conduct a raid. Their warranty Silverrock is like pulling teeth-you are left with the pain in the rear trying to obtain approval, finding a vendor ,reputable vendors, the list they use of vendors are of places that mostly work on commission and staff that come and go, many of them have no certifications. It's a real pain. Check you vehicle thoroughly before accepting a vehicle from carvana, it appears their 150 point check is not all that, I have found oil has not been changed, and other damage. A shiny penny may be a turd with lipstick. Lastly, if your state has inspections be sure the carvana vehicle is legally prepared to pass inspection-you will be left with the bill of replacing the tint if it has to be removed.

Carvana was upfront, transparent, sold me a beautiful RAV4, that I returned ONLY because I ultimately needed 3rd row seats. Unfortunately I didn't find what I needed in Carvana's stock but they gave me top dollar for my trade-in regardless. Again, their advocates were nothing but wonderful to me and the RAV4 was in top mechanical condition and I only returned it due to needed something larger. SOOOO I bought from a car dealership because I found what I was looking for in my price range and that experience was a total nightmare. They sold me a vehicle, with a bunch of added fees that were not transparent, with plenty of things wrong with it that they did not disclose, and now I'm stuck with it. Their salespeople and finance people were rude and awful to work with. I so wish I had found something with Carvana and not gone to a "reputable" traditional dealership, it makes me sick knowing they got my $ while Carvana didn't.

I almost got to the closing when their "free delivery" suddenly became $450. The promised out the door price was not what it would have cost me... so I didn't buy it. I got a nice vehicle but the registration and title problems are still haunting me a year later. Carvana never listed the Lein holder on the original Michigan title so I just refinanced the car and these clowns want me to pay again for thei error! I transferred my original license plate for 12.00 here and they charged me for a new plate in the loan for which I never got refunded! They sent me paperwork that has Julia on it and that’s never been my name ever! I’m never doing business here again FML

Was told on February 22, that the car purchased, with financing, on February 9, and scheduled for delivery on February 23, was to be delayed until March. Upon further inquiry via phone, it was eventually disclosed that the TRANSMISSION WAS BLOWN and they were cancelling the contract. How did they not know they were “selling” me a lemon and how long were they going to string me along with delayed delivery had I not called? Would they have delivered a 2020 car with a rebuilt transmission if I had not demanded to know what the delay was caused by? So dishonest.

BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered a car out of Florida on Jan 11. Set the delivery date for the 21. Giving them plenty of time to make the delivery. When the 20 came I got a message saying weather delay and rescheduled to the 25. The south did get some ice so I wasn’t worried. The 24 came and they delayed again for “weather”. It had been above 50 degrees and sunny. It had made it to North Carolina. I called and one guy said it was in Alabama. Another guy said North Carolina. Another guy said South Carolina. One guy said delay for weather another guy said delay for truck issues. On the 24 they rescheduled for the 26 and not even 4 hours later they rescheduled again for the 28. As now on the 25 the car still sits in North Carolina, so they say. And isn’t planned to leave for the 26. Won’t be able to make my delivery in pa for the 28 either and will have to reschedule again. These people are nothing but untrustworthy and secretive. Don’t trust this company. Go to car max or someone else first. After all this time my excitement for the car is gone and plan to purchase elsewhere.

While I think Carvana is great for that purpose, I had since used CarMax's delivery and online shopping for my family's car. I do use Carvana's super easy trade-in estimates to help me know the value of my car - I love how easy that is to use.

I recently purchased a 2017 Lincoln continental reserve from Carvana. I have to say this was the easiest, stress less car buying experience I’ve ever had. It took about a week from picking out a car online to the contactless delivery right to my front door. Everyone was professional and courteous through the entire process. My new car arrived on time as planned and described. Completely detailed clean and in exact condition as described. The delivery person was professional and courteous. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase of my new vehicle through Carvana and would definitely do business with them again. I highly recommend the Carvana buying experience to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

The worst thing about car buying is all of the worry behind such a big purchase. After having received/purchased three cars before the car I just purchased on Carvana, there was always the worry that the car was going to have something wrong, and that the salesman was trying to rip you off. This was not the case with Carvana. Their website was very easy to use and gave a very fair price (I compared with other websites such as CarGurus), and they not only supplied a plethora of pictures, but also gave a interactive 360 degree view of the car with other features as well. They offered free delivery from where the car was at in Arizona, and the lady that dropped off the car at my house was right on time and very warm and helpful with all the questions I had, as well as guiding me through their process. If you are not satisfied with your car, they have a 7 day, 400 mile period in which they will take the car back free of charge with no fees, which also takes the stress out of this process greatly. After receiving my vehicle, it was exactly what their comprehensive inspection (where only 1 in 20 cars makes it through) and pictures looked like, if not better! I took it in for a 64 point inspection at a dealership, where it was problem free. Overall, I had an amazing experience with Carvana, and would recommend it to any family members and friends looking to buy a used car.

Like a lot of people, I was skeptical about buying a car online, but because of the 7 day return policy I decided to give it a try. I found a truck that seemed like a good price for what it had on it so I began the application process online, which was easy. Carvana recently began a new policy for cash purchases. If the price is over $30k they take the money from your account 5 days before delivery instead of at delivery. That part had me hoping I hadn't made a mistake but the customer service reps (advocates) were great. They explained everything in detail and called me back when they said they would. I was looking forward to the vending machine experience but when I got there they said my F150 may not fit, but they tried to get it in there anyway. Turns out is didn't fit so I took it for a test drive and signed the paperwork. I kept the vehicle and so far they have been very communicative about the registration process. I had a great experience and would consider buying another vehicle this way.

I bought a 2018 Jeep renegade, after two delays d/t truck issues I received the Jeep approx. 90 minutes ago! I love it! It has all the bells and whistles my 2011 Honda CR-V was lacking (o traded it). I love the color, it was 99.9% clean w/ the front passenger seat having a small stain and there was a very minor ding on the gas door. Carvana overall was awesome. Ryan who delivered my new car was very personable, professional and thorough. I learned a little about Carvana today through him, it’s very interesting how the company is able to make so many people happy. Only thing I am missing my referral cards and I’m told a carvana mug is typically in the new vehicle. However , I’m very happy with my vehicle and Carvana! I will never go to the dealer again! I almost did not buy a car from Carvana because of reviews like this one on sites like these. Gosh, I’m glad I didn’t listen. I live in St. Louis which turns out to be a hub. Turns out the hub is like 10 miles away. Who knew? Anyway, I researched this company and process TO DEATH. I researched Carvana (including the business model) AND the best used cars to buy. And, I bought one....from Carvana. First, in regard to “transparency” (as referred to in this review), if you have a question... CALL THEM. It’s that simple. The customer service was amazing the few times I had questions and to verify things for the purchase (such as the down payment.) So, fyi, there is no “prepayment” penalty. I honest to goodness see no downside to buying from this company. The cars that I was considering to buy from Carvana were competitively priced to similar used cars available to purchase locally. I sat here and combed through what I wanted...obsessively. But we finally pulled the trigger and just had a Honda Civic EX delivered!!! 24,000 miles. Single owner. $14,200 loaded. There are not enough words to explain how happy I am with the purchase. There were scratches on the car that were all shown in the pictures on the Carvana site. There were no surprises. The transporter/contact was Katrina. She was SO SWEET! I’m pretty sure I hugged her 10 times. She was enthusiastic and smiled the whole time. She verified my husband’s identify and insurance and handed us the keys to test drive it. We returned with huge smiles on our faces. She quickly went over documents. WE GOT THE TITLE (I have read about many people having issues with this but it most definitely was not our experience.) I’m telling you what, I will NEVER go to another dealership. Everything was fair. The process exceedingly exceeded our expectations. We are taking the car to a Honda dealership to get it thoroughly checked over (like we would do no matter where we purchased a car from.) I could NOT be happier!!! My suggestions: Better pictures of the inside of the car. The ability to zoom in on the car, as well. Our car was exactly as expected, but I could never see the inside adequately enough. I definitely think the current “viewability” could be improved. But other than that, it was fast, easy, simple, exciting, and perfect. Zero problems. 10 stars! : )

so I purchased a suv from carvana in December. it was delivered in two weeks. I had to change my date just to one day after the original which was completely fine with me. they called me 24 hours before letting me know of the delay so I wasn't upset or angry. the truck got delivered and I noticed battery acid all over the battery. they were quick to help out and fix it. the costumer service is on point. I then ran passed my registration temp plate. I wasn't notified that there was an issue until I called from my vacation on the beach. I was aggravated but then I got onto the phone with dave. he was so helpful and gave me every detail possible of the issue . thankful I was able to get someone so caring and helpful. the issue Is fixed and its all smooth sailing from here!!!! the truck is great! had more features then it said online which is even more of a surprise. also the fact they drop the truck off at your house is a huge bonus! I will absolutely be buying another vehicle from them in the future when I'm ready! if you hate car dealers and dealing with the back and fourth bs...check out carvana

I was initially skeptical about buying a car totally online. But, as I buy everything else online, it started to make sense. I know that "no-haggle" dealers ofter have higher prices that traditional dealers, so I went into it with that in mind. I did a lot of research. I found the car I wanted on Carvana's website. I cross-checked it at Edmunds.com and Kelly Blue Book to make sure the price was right, and it was fair. I applied for their financing (soft-pull), and was approved, though at a higher rate than what I probably could have got somewhere else; I just wanted to make the process smooth. I input information on my trade, easily, and they offered me an amount for my car which was very fair. I scheduled a pickup for 5 days later. I went to the "vending machine" and spoke to the friendly Carvana employee. Within 2 minutes, she had my information pulled up and gave me my giant coin to put into the vending machine. Upon inserting the coin, I could watch as the VM retrieved my car and, after 2 minutes of theatrics, deposited it into a bay where I could inspect it and drive off for a test drive. I drove it, inspected it, and found it to be satisfactory. I signed a few documents, the Carvana employee took 10 minutes to inspect and test drive my trade, and within 30 minutes, I drove home. NO haggling. NO predatory finance manager coercion. NO dealer bate and switch. NO sleezy sales people talking you into something you don't want. For this introvert, I will NEVER go back to the old way of buying a car! LOVE it and can't say enough good things about the whole process.

I had an amazing experience with Carvana! I got to browse cars from the comfort of my bed with my dogs beside me. Upfront, I knew what my down payment and my monthly payment would be on all of the cars I was interested in, and the costs were reasonable for my credit score. From there, the experience was only made better by the excellent customer service I received over the phone and in person from my delivery driver! Everything went exactly and as smoothly as stated on the website. My 2018 Malibu LT arrived on time and was spotless. I LOVED my Carvana experience. I won't ever go thru a dealership again. Started my car research one year prior and narrowed down my car wants to specific years, make, model, and max mileage. I was going to go thru USAA car buying service (no hassle thru dealerships) after 4 bad dealerships that either tried to get me to switch out of the vehicles I wanted, one said they wouldn't accept my pre-approved loan thru USAA because they wanted me thru them, another tried to tack on 3k in extra dealer fees, etc. USAA had lots of vehicles but they all were at least 70 miles from me. Then I had a few friends suggest carvana! I took a few weeks to check their available cars before choosing one. 15 minutes of online time and 10 minutes of phone time later, I had scheduled my delivery. The car arrived on time a few days later, and the guy was awesome. He showed me the vehicle and it did match everything in the pictures. All blemishes were as shown, car was clean. I've now had it inspected. It does need new tires but the rest is great. It may be up to 45 days for plates but I was informed I will get a call before then. Honestly if this car didn't work out, you get 7 days to trial it. So yes if something happened I would just contact them and switch it out. No dealer would let you have time, let alone 7 days, to take it to a mechanic to have it checked out or to drive it like this. I'm so happy to finally have a good car experience.

Fantastic experience buying a car. There is a wide selection of vehicles and their web site is very easy to navigate. I wish you could easily save your searches but whatever. I got a great deal on the exact car I was wanting, got to pick it up at the vending machine and the car actually looked better than it did in the photos. I took it to my mechanic during my 7 day test drive and he said it was "pristine" (his word). My wife and I love our new car and have been very pleased with pretty much everything. Just got notified that my new plates are in the mail so that should be the last element of the purchase. Next time we need a used car, we're checking Carvana first. We didn't have to be told things that were patently false by a salesman or hear "let me check with my manager" even once. Loved it.

All around terrific experience. Customer service was incredible. Always answered my questions and concerns, were respectful and followed up when they said they would. I got a wonderful vehicle at a very fair price with none of the haggling, hidden extra fees or need to go trekking back and forth to a dealership. They also offered a generous price on my trade in vehicle. The van was delivered to my door at the time and date they had scheduled. They also took my trade in back with them at the same time. Lastly, the title and registration was handled by Carvana in a timely and expeditious manner. All in all, the ideal car buying experience. From the start I was super skeptical about buying a car online. I mean we can get nearly anything online these days, but a car? That’s an investment, a lifestyle change, a credit score change. But in a world where I have little to no time to spend a whole day at a dealership negotiating price, protections, and amenities I felt out of options. From the SECOND I clicked buy this company has gone above and beyond. It’s super easy, none of the pictures or descriptions were lies, and they follow up literally immediately to ensure everything goes smooth. When I picked up my car from the vending machine it was like being a kid again! It was so fun to see my car being dispensed to me and displayed for me, and I spent all of 20 minutes from opening the door to driving off with my car. They troubleshot every issue I had within minutes and put EVERYTHING in writing. Too good to be true? Just wait! The best part was my car got delayed getting to the vendor, which happens in general, but they not only called and worked with me the whole way through, but I got a personalized card and two cute candles in the mail just thanking me for sticking with it through the issues! This company has got it down! They take care of their customers and I could not love my new care more! Especially because I didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg AND it was easier than buying groceries with coupons!

Let me start my review with this statement, NO MORE GOING TO A DEALER! This month my wife and I have to total loss, my car was in an accident and was declared a total loss, the week after my wife’s car lost the transmission and because of the age of her car, we have decided it was not worth the repair. At this point my Garage was empty, The very next day I looked for a car at the local dealer and complete the purchase same day, after a horrible 5 hours of hassles and negotiation, getting the car I was looking for but paying $5000 more than the advertised on their website, but I had to have a car that day! Next morning while at work, I logged in to Carvana.com, browse the inventory and found the car that I can buy for my wife. In less than 30 minutes I have my order completed, I included a full extended warranty and $1290 sales tax and the final price was only $3000 over the price of the car. I only made one phone call in ensure they received the driver license that I submitted online. I select the delivery date and time and that was it. The order was approved, and my wife’s car delivered on time. The car was exactly as described including temporary plate and registration. The return policy gave us a piece of mind, unlike taking a short test drive when buying from the dealer, with Carvana.com, I have 7 days/400 miles of a test drive. So since we just receive the car yesterday, we will enjoy it for 7 days and I am sure we will love it. Thank you Carvana.com YOU ARE A GENIUS

I purchased my car 11 months ago. I must admit that I was very skeptical to make such a large purchase online, sight unseen, but they had just the car I was very specifically looking for; a Hyundai Elantra GT. I’d had such a bad experience at every dealer I visited in person and was having no luck anywhere else. After speaking to a Carvana representative about my concerns, he reassured me with several options if I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my choice. It was really a no-brainer so I went for it. I spent about 30-45 in total on the phone and in 5 days had a car at my door at exactly the time that was promised! Every single person I came into contact with was a breath of fresh air. No one pushed me into a thing and the process could not have been easier. The car was immaculate. My notes come out on a date of my choice and they even took care of the temporary and permanent tags for me so no trip to the county clerk-a huge plus! I cannot say anything negative about this experience. I will NEVER buy a car anywhere else.

Picked out the vehicle I wanted , found an "on demand" vehicle; 2018 with only a few thousand miles. Was worried at first because of "stock" photo. When I looked at the sticker and carfax really sealed the deal. I was able to put a comfortable amount down to hold the car because I hadn't officially seen yet. When I saw the vehicle in pictures for my exclusive preview I immediately knew it was an excellent peice of machinery. I got the car few weeks later, and was pleased with everything. I intended to sell my Subaru 2016 Forester to Carvana. But it was totally a very bad experience. They lowered down my car two times when I asked for an appraisal online, from $20,000 to $18,000 just by editing my mileage from 69,800 to 70,300. And when I came to the office at Westminster, CA. They once again lowered my value to 14,000 just because of my condition from ‘great’ to ‘ok’. The guy named Dan showed me some of my scratches and dings from front and rear bumpers and said he cannot take the car unless I did an appraisal again and changing the condition of the car. And what happened is out of my imagination. The price was going down once more of $4,000 for just a changing condition above. They were also very ignored you when you bring the car to the facility. It’s totally a scam and a untrusting dealer. Go to Kelly Blue Book or at least Carmax to get a better price or at least not to get shocked when they lower value of your car at the field. I heard a lot of these bad things about them even in selling their cars but this time is the best time I can testify how badly they buy your car.

Carvana is deceptive and are not honest with their customers. I bought a car and did everything thing per their instructions. Then afterwards I was told that there were shipping delays. OK, I accepted it. Then I was told the car would be 4 days late. I called to square away insurance paperwork and they had an opertuninty to tell me the car had engine problems at the Atlanta inspection station. It was being shipped from New Mexico going to Virginia. So, the inspection prior to leaving the original point of departure and the inspection stations along the way should have revealed the engine problems early on. They wanted me to wait 10 more days so they can fix the car, in the mean time not telling me there was an issue with the engine until I pressed them about the 2nd delay. Complete dishonesty. I even proposed buying another car exactly like it that had 20K more miles on it and they would have to reduce the price by $3000 to match the other. Did not budge. Complete dishonesty and only out to make money. Not even wanting to make things right with my purchase. I would advise any and all of you to stay away from Carvana!!! Not even worth 1 star.

The New Way to buy a Car ...YES Lexington, KY

We were new to country and needed a new reliable vehicle; we saw the ad on TV for Carvana. We put in the info needed for pre-qualified. We were pleasantly surprised to approved for what we were. Well we searched and found a vehicle up coming. We put the deposit required, when we got to see pics we went through the process needed to get the vehicle. Well that was difficult and stressful given they only give you so much time depending if your paying cash, getting loan on your own or financing through Carvana; we got it done tho. Then came the drop off time, well they had problems on their end getting it delivered to the HUB, so we had to basically pick a new day that worked for us which is only on the weekends, so we had to wait a whole other week. When it finally got delivered it came on truck with Carvana name, the guy who delivered was great, all the staff were good tho during the process and keeping us calm and collected as I said the initial getting documents and new date for delivery we were actually not very happy. Yet they did what was needed to get the vehicle to us. Once we got our new vehicle it was clean, detailing was good, smelled nice inside; Overall the vehicle exceeded our expectations. Fast forward 3 weeks, we noticed oil leaking, we called Carvana told them what was happening they told us we can take it anywhere we wanted including a dealer, well we did just that, it was noted that when Carvana did the oil change they didnt tighten the filter enough. Well Caravana covered the cost of topping up the oil (full synthetic might add) and all cost related to the oil and filter. Dealer had found the alignment wasn't done to specs, Carvana wouldn't cover this as its normal wear and tear ( after 3 weeks tho, hum) The under body was pressure wash best they could to get rid of the oil that had leaked. Overall were happy with our vehicle, were happy with how the staff had Carvana did whatever they could to ensure we got our vehicle and took all the time needed to ensure it could go as smoothly as it could within their control. Will be purchase again through Carvana you bet. The issues we had for us outweighs the pushy sales people at the dealers.

It's 4/7 I was supposed to receive my car on 4/6.. the buying part was pretty easy now I'm waiting on my car on 4/6 and it was to be delivered by 1pm.. at 9am I received a call from a local number stating my car had been damaged.. I promptly call number back no answer.. called carvana 1-800 number and was told they don't know what happened to my car.. that I can wait to see what the repairs would be or switch cars.. which they WILL NOT negotiate the price so I have to either spend more money or the second option was to buy an older vehicle.. no rental or nothing.. I have to take my kids back home out of state and have no transportation.. I'm absolutely disgusted with my experience so far

Pros: Ease of use, shop from the comfort of your home, no haggling, good trade-in value Cons: Delivery is undependable, poor customer service I have purchased two cars from Carvana. The first car had a delivery delay in July 2020. I was disappointed, but since I had a car that I could drive, which I was trading in, I was understanding and figured it was just one of those things. I am in the process of buying a second car from Carvana. It is a 17th birthday gift for my twins. Got a confirmation email this morning that the car is on its way for delivery tomorrow at noon, as scheduled. A few hours later I get another email saying it's going to be delayed for a few days. My kids' birthday is tomorrow. This is beyond disappointing. I called Carvana and explained the situation but they said there was nothing they could do. I asked for money off and they offered me a whopping $100. I asked if I could go pick it up wherever it is but they said it hasn't even been inspected yet. Poor customer service and delivery dates mean nothing. I had been recommending Carvana to lots of people, but now that's 2 for 2 on not delivering on time.

It started out great ! It took me 3 tries to get the right SUV for me ! First one I wasnt comfortable about what I learned about the tranny problems with the Rouge ! 2nd I tried Honda CRV and I was put off by the condition of the headlights when they brought it then the tire icon was on , they were all low on air so I filled them to proper amount and the icon never went out which probably means the sensor is bad ! I was told that I needed to go have the light turned off when that happens ! Lol OK ? I know better than that ! I love the Honda even though there was a vibration in idle so I decided to get a newer model for the 3rd try ! During those phone calls the ppl weren't very nice , condinsending I'd say ! So I'm looking forward to the 2018 ! Would I buy a car this way again ? I guess so ! I was disappointed in the supposed 150 point inspection of the cars ! Don't believe it's TRUE

So far I have nothing but issues with the service. The car has damage that was not reported when I bought the car. I had to pay hundreds of dollars to have the car delivered to my home and then the driver they hired refused to deliver the car to my home and I'm getting no type of resinable compensation for the treatment from the driver they hired (the driver they hired told me he owns the transport company so he will deliver my car when he wants to and told me to f off then hung up on me he was also in violation per carvanas employee of his contract with me and them but nothing comes of it to make things right with the customer.) Now they are telling me I have to go get a bunch of extra things done to the car to complete the registration. No one has ever said anything about any of this to me. Then I call to ask questions on the paperwork and get told less then 5 minutes wait time we'll 25 minutes later and I get put back on hold to revive no help because the person who is answering the line for the registration help dose not know the answer and can't get the answer for me.

They are very specific with what they will repair on your vehicle. I had a significant amount of rust on the frame and requested help with paying for repair and prevention, but they declined. They also automatically charge $350 for title and registration. My fees totaled $182. I requested to have my specialty plates transferred and they never communicated that they couldn't, and after talking to a rep for a while, he explained that they won't cover the $40 specialty cost, which is still significantly less than $350. They went ahead and sent me registration for normal plates but never communicated that they didn't do the transfer. Overall, I got what I wanted, but with lots of red tape, and little explanation.

I love my new car and believe I got a fair trade in value for my old one, however I did experience some problems with Carvana. I was told that in Indiana a new plate/registration would take about 2 weeks. I got my new registration after 7 weeks, three days after my temporary plates expired. No new plate came with it. I contacted Carvana and they said I was supposed to keep my old plate. The driver that delivered my new car and took my old one said no trip to the BMV was required, that they handled all of that. He made no mention of removing my old plates. So here I am off the the BMV to find out how much it will cost me for a replacement plate. I'm not very happy about all this, however, everything else went smoothly and I got exactly the car I wanted.
