I brought my car in six months ago and the service men cannot figure out what is wrong with it. I strongly warn people in the United States not to buy a Volkswagen. Americans do not know how to fix foreign cars. Even the parts for damaged items on the Jetta are obsolete.
They’re decent cars, and have good gas mileage (mainly the sedans). I just wish that my current Jetta had the CarPlay software in it, it would make having to navigate to new places less stressful.
VW's review score is 20.5% lower than the average review score of the top recommended Car Brands Company
My first car was a VolksWagen and I absolutely loved the car. I had the Passat and irt had great gas mileage and was very durable.
Great car and customer service. Super safe, great gas mileage, and highly relatable.
Loved my 97 Jetta, wish I had never Wrecked it. Rolled it 3 time and walked away with out a scratch. That’s all I need to say about that.
My issue is when I had 2010 VW passat, the car had a problem with the engine and when I took it to the dealer, they replaced parts trying to isolate the problem and in the end they recommended to replace the whole engine. The price or replacing engine was close to the price of the car.
We drove a passat when we were first married. Loved the features, look, and power but it unfortunately didn't last past 100k miles before it started falling apart.
I had a VW in high school. I think they are good entry level vehicles. I don’t think they last as long as other cars and they are super expensive to get repaired.
I love my VW beetle! It drives smooth and gets great gas milage. The apple play feature makes driving an ease.
Bought my daughter a 2002 VW Beetle, and she drove the MESS out of it!! She would have kept driving if, but she hit a deer in 2017. Unfortunately, the deer won. Will be looking to purchase another VW soon.
Loved my Jetta as a teen (first car) and will strongly consider for next car purchase. Germans do engineering right and quality to value ratio is equivalent to major Japanese manufacturers IMO.
We have had good experiences with the VW's we have owned. They are reasonably priced and economical to run. Additionally, VW seems driven to use quality materials in their products. They are well made and don't require excessive maintenance. We love VW!
I got the hand me down Golf in high school. It had a lot of miles on it, but was still very reliable. It was fun to drive as well.
My husband loved his Volkswagon Jetta. He only had one problem but it was still under warranty. He was sad when they had the emissions scandal recall but couldn't pass up the return for it.
I had a Passat for several years. Great car and felt completely safe whiled driving it.
Volkswagen is a great company that provides affordable, high quality automobiles that are efficient and stylish.
Had one of the diesel cars that turned out to be very bad for the environment. It’s very disappointing especially because it was claimed to be really good for the environment.
I have rented a VW on many occasions. The car alway felt like it was a high quality machine and could last a long time.
We recently bought a used Volkswagen Passat and love it! It is a great car to have, and I love how much leg room there is in the back seat. It drives very well!
We owned both a VW Passat and a Jetta. The Passat was a wagon, and one of our favorite cars we’ve ever owned. They were both fun cars to drive, with great features, and quality performance. Biggest drawbacks are that maintenance and repairs are expensive, and they are difficult to work on without specialized tools, so if you like to DIY some things, VWs aren’t the best.
I loved our VW Jetta. It was bright red and the men where I workout were always commenting on what a classy car it was. It drove smoothly and was comfortable on long trips, except for getting in and out of it if one was the driver. There wasn’t enough room between the steering wheel and the back of the seat to comfortably get out.
I had a 2000 VW Beetle and I moved the cuteness of it but it had a lot of problems. It was 18 years old so it was bound to have problems but it broke down on my a lot. I didn't like how specific VW made things because something that would be a simple fix on another car was complicated because it was a VW. But it was the cutest car and I loved driving it, when it worked.
I've loved my Volkswagen ! It's a small black one! It has great gas mileage, I love the bluetooth audio system, and I love the comfortable seats! Definitely a great car for a road trip!
I drove my friends VW and it was just okay. I wasn't super in love with the functionality of the car. And from what my friends says, repairs are a beast to pay for.
Exceptional cars and great value for the money no matter if you lease or buy. Cars run smoothly no porblems and excellent customer service at the Fox Dealership in Rochester,MI. We love our Jetta and Tiguan and the only thing we wish for is more models of VW to come to the USA.
I had a Jetta for many years and in the last 2 years, I purchased a Passat. I like the quality that goes into their vehicles, solid dependable German engineering without the cost of an Audit, Mercedes or BMW.
Excellent experience. Most reliable cars i have ever owned.
they arent interested in selling a vehicle to you and if you do bludgeon your way through to actually getting one the service manager there wont acknowledge any fault with damaged vehicles
Best Egg Believer
Unique precise engineering, top notch design, and quality that spans decades
Based on my purchases of two Volkswagens, the cars are well-made, good values, and good features. The service at the dealer is mediocre.
Great value on the VW Beetle, fairly easy purchase process with a 2-3 hour start to end & car pick up. Arranged credit with a credit union at a competitive rate. Great customer service.
