Honda Motor Company is a Japanese car manufacturer founded in 1946. As one part of Japan’s Big Three automakers, Honda started as a motorcycle engine maker and has grown to be one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world.
With its Acura line, which was first released in 1986, Honda was the first Japanese manufacturer to make its own luxury offshoot brand.
The following Honda models are available in the US:
Crossover & SUVs:
You can shop Honda’s lineup at 1,050 dealerships nationwide.
Honda ranked above average on the latest JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study at #12 out of 31. Additionally, Polk Data found that 75 percent of Honda vehicles sold between 1988 and 2012 were still on the road in 2013, more than any other brand.
In the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index rankings, Honda placed very well; only four companies scored ahead of it: Volvo, Porsche, Lexus, and Subaru. This is great, especially considering that most of the these are luxury brands, not mainstream.
Honda has one of the most fuel-efficient lineups when it comes to average mpg and has several sustainable vehicle options:
The Insight was even named the 2019 Green Car of the Year.
HondaSensing is the company’s safety tech line and it includes:
Many Honda models from 2001 to 2015 model years were included in the Takata airbag recall. However, Honda is not the only company involved in this industry-record recall. If you drive a Honda made during this time period, check your VIN with the company’s recall database to be sure you are safe.

I have had a Honda Odyssey for years and absolutely love it. Gas miles are great! It is so easy to drive and has great space as well.
Very prompt and courteous. Explain things thoroughly.
I like the reliability of my Honda- honda CRV. Its a sturdy vehicle with great reliability. I have gotten serivce at Honda dealership. The serive there is great.
Have owned 5 Hondas. Reliable, economical, good mileage and good service.
Very reliable and practical design, simple, easy to operate
Very reliable car...so good, in fact, have not needed a tune-up. Very easy to get pay off amount and expeditious mailing of title
Great cars. Owned several CRV, accords and Civics. Very reliable and their service is excellent.
Hands down, the best car manufacturer in my book. From quality to customer service, they nail it. And, the resale value of their product just drives my point.
Excellent , courteous, professional prompt service. Please bring back flatow for the CR-V
This is my third Honda. Great car, great mileage and great dealership service.
Stylish, incredibly reliable, great technology, and low cost of ownership
excellent customer service and service department will return for future oil changes
I own a Honda Fit and have found it to be the absolute best car I have ever owned. It is a dream to drive, with the footing of a Billy Goat in the snow and ice and holds my very large Greyhound and a lot of other stuff at the same time. Good cars, good company.
Bought two Honda CRVs over a period of time. This company is top notch the way they handle clients. They are up front with their dealing.
John Eagle Honda. It was time to buy a new car. I liked the ease of transaction and the interest rate.
I have called corporate about battery charge. During the warmer months I was getting 56-62 miles per charge. Now it is 34-37. It has been 2 weeks since I called with no response from corporate.
Only very positive things to say about this company. Not only do they sale GREAT cars but there customer service is superb.
Great driving and lots of features for comfort and safety
the company selling Honda service dept is the grand canyon of the pitts
Acura service is awesome! All reps are knowledgeable and the loaner car helps a bunch!
VERY MUCH SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER HANDLING.
I am REALLY happy I bought a used 2014 Honda Accord EX. I never imagined the Accord V6 has so much power and the car is very comfortable.
They're not too expensive. These cars, especially the well taken care of, last a very long time. Keeping them updated is the best they can do to keep improving them. Honda is very good about the maintenance and quick too.
Great product and customer service. I've had Honda Accord for the last 15 years, car is excellent and never had problems with customer service when I take it for maintenance.
Very good car. Runs well. Low maintenance. Good gas mileage. No improvement needed.
The cars are dependable and have great safety ratings
I have a Honda Pilot--great car! But Honda has a problem with their white and light gray color vehicles with the paint peeling off after a few years. They are aware of the problem but still have not been able to fix it.
Vehicle is reliable, comfortable, and plenty of trunk storage space. However it was a little difficult getting a carseat installed
It is valuable that they offer free inspections and oil changes. They, however, don't reach out to their established customers after 6 months.
They make a dependable vehicle. There are some small tweaks in design, but not much.
The CR-V is a good car, well built with good road clearance; needs better gas mileage
I had a 2014 Odyssey and I have a 2016 Accord and a 2018 Odyssey. The 2014 had an interior deffect that Honda claimed was caused by blunt force to the panel. I found out recently that they are aware the defect was caused by natural oils in the drivers body due to defective materials, but Honda would not own up to it. The new technology, especially the collision avoidance system can actually cause an accident. Going around a steep left curve on a highway, if vehicles are heading toward you the system thinks you are headed for a collision and brakes. I a car pulls lanes and you do the same to avoid a collision the vehicle tries to pull you back into the lane causing a possible collision.
It's been over 12 years but no matter what part of the Us I lived in their customer service is on point.
Since 2007, we have purchased/driven 3 Honda Odyssey's, 1 CR-V and 1 Honda Accord (6 cyl) and so far, they have been the best vehicles we've had the pleasure to own and drive. One problem with our first '07 Odyssey, the white paint chipped all the time - that has been the only problem in 12 years. The CR-V, EX-L was a 2012 model, very light car, not enough horsepower, but when you get 33 mpg in town, who cares? The accord is my personal car - lots of horses under the hood, leather seats, "zooming car"! And on the highway, I get about 30 mpg - pretty sweet! The only vehicle I think that really needs improvement is the CR-V; yes, I realize it now comes with a turbo 4 - wow, 190 HP, give me a break; should be around 235-255 HP, then that would be a SUV that would be competitive!
Very good experience with Honda. Even their dealerships go above and beyond. I like their legendary durability, quality, and reliability. They are also very well styled for the most part and have a very nice looking logo. They need to continue making sporty cars as well as make a 2 door coupe Accord since the new 4 door Accord has questionable styling.
They have a reliable car with a great warranty. The dealership offers free oil changes to teachers. I take advantage of this service. When I take my car in to be serviced the techs are honest and professional.
Good. Very costly if not under warranty. Car does not require much attention, it is reliable.
I recently purchased a new CR-V and had exemplary service from the dealer and love the car's handling and features.
I love my CRV - wish manual was easier to understnd how to work the gismos!
Our Honda CRV is probably the most reliable, versatile and practical car we've ever owned. We love it and will always consider Honda when looking for another car
Service Is great. Meet you at the car door when you drive in garage. Escort you to his or her desk. No waiting in line. Find out what the car needs done and escorts you to waiting room. Checks in to let you know what is going on and tells you when it is ready ade where it is parked.
Owned hondas for over 25 years. Very reliable and trustworthy. Not one isue that wasnt resolved very quickly ever
Only have had good experiences from them wether it was my first honda which was a 84' prelude, or my 91 CRX, or one of my many different models and years of different Accords.
Reliable, low maintenance, high tech, I have leased 3 different Honda and the only money I spent were the scheduled maintenance. Because I leases the carr, I only kept each car between 28-33 months.
Excellent experience with 3 new Accords and 1 new Crosstour. Reliability, craftsmanship and great technology have made me a lifelong repeat customer.
I love my Honda Civic. I've had two, and they are the most reliable vehicles...they just keep on keeping on!
Loved the choices in vehicles. Would like them to bring back the center console in the SUV models.
Quality is number 1. They have very high standards and their vehicles show it. Price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. They used to give coupon books to use their service department. That went by the wayside, and if not, they haven't given me one in my past 3 vehicles!
Reliable car good warranty service company is good
I think they need to have a payment plan available. I used them since I bought my accord in 2008, however, when my breaks needed to be done I had to go to firestone, now I use them exclusively. I think car dealers need to cater to all americans, not just rich ones. Because of their lack of payment plans they lost me as a customer 2 years ago, there was another issue. My windshield wiper cleaner pump failed, I told them it was not the lines which I tested, not the pump itself that caused it, that it was due to electrical in the pigtail. They put a pump on, died in three days, then they put another aftermarket one for free with no warranty, which also died because they refused to listen to me because I'm a female. Firestone listened, they fixed the pigtail and now I can wash my windows..
