You rent a premium car but no it's not premium when it's no longer available and you are required to upgrade to get something comparable. They double talk and sell the con real good when you call them out on it.

I rented a car by Rent cars and I paid for it. But after that I was charged again by Sixt. I send more than 10 emails and I couldn’t solve my problem. I paid Double! So they charged me 147.48 of fueling. I rented SUV…This is incredible? I was thinking where they put so much gasoline? This is ridiculous! I am felling Injured!

Zero Stars Dishonest Company As with other reviews, dropped my hire car off at Faro Airport with a full tank. The checkout paperwork stated the car fuel level was 8/8. A few days later I was charged £84!!! Contacted customer service, all they did was send the invoice for the fuel! Absolutely disgusted, avoid this company, totally dishonest.

I was somehow booked twice, by this company! I cannot cancel or alter my reservation online- there is always an error. My trip dates have changes AND I never wanted 2 cars! They say only to email them, a week later no response, other than saying they received my email! This is ridiculous!

I picked up the car at Newark Airport with a 1/4 tank of fuel and returned it with over a 1/2 a tank of fuel. I even snapped a photo when I picked up the car. They still charged me $71.44 for fuel. Tried to contact their customer support and still now response back. Stay farm far away from this rental company.

Granted these are nice cars, but this is the only rental company that charges a substantial penalty for canceling your reservation. Travel plans change - for both business and personal reasons. Simply put, don't use this company unless you want to risk a substantial penalty for canceling your reservation.

Very bad experience dealing with customer service. In an unfortunate event (outside of customer control) when airlines cancelled all flights, SixT customer service told me to send email to request cancellation and later told me that I didn't cancel before the car pickup time!!

Terrible rental company. My rental car for 2 days cost $908.96. I cannot recommend a company who's business plan includes price gouging. After paying $819.20 I was charged another $119.31. I will not put myself in this position again. BEWARE!!!

I rented a car in Portugal. 1st car had a broken bumper. By the time they replaced it, I was out of time for inspection. I bought a full coverage insurance from SIXT website. On the day of return SIXT employee created a fake checklist of damages to defraud insurance company. Now I have to process a claim for the fake reports

They expect people with COVID-19 to travel, potentially infecting others, to pickup rental vehicles they pre-paid for or to pay their standard cancellation fee. While that might be legal, it is extremely unethical. If you do not like doing business with morally bankrupt companies, stay far away from them.

When I reached out, they said there is nothing to be done, despite having no proof the damage occurred while I had the vehicle, and they they were taking me to collections. Do not use!

Accidentally booked a rental at the wrong airport. Wouldn’t modify and told me I’d have to pay a 50% cancellation fee even though I tried canceling within 10 minutes of the error. No ability to make phone contact with a human, just some automated email. Horrible company

We’ve been trying to get our refund back for a car we did not rent for over a month with no success. We have had the run around from every single person we talk to. Terrible experience. Didn’t have the Mercedes I booked and paid for so they gave me a jeep for the same cost. Seriously. Then it broke down the next day and they wouldn’t come out to fix it because they said I didn’t have roadside assistance and hung up on me. Do not ever rent here..

I usually rent from Sixt or Hertz. We had a European trip planed and we had prepaid Sixt and hertz for our rental cars in different countries. Hertz reimbursed me 100% due to Covid19 and Sixt couldn’t care less that I was a loyal customer and didn’t reimburse me. Guess from now on it will be always Hertz, even if I have to pay double.

I made a reservation for a van to take the family on a spring break trip. I am a firefighter and my brother is a Police Officer. Due to Covid-19 we have been ordered to stay in the State and CANNOT travel. Sixt REFUSES to refund us for the rental. Horrible company.

We rented a car in Florence. Returning the car was a nightmare-no signs to do so or people to ask. We received 5 tickets for driving in TLZ roads EVEN though we followed the GPS exclusively. Fees for each ticket is approx. $40 each. We asked for some consideration and just get more emails demanding the money.

Rented at OGG (Maui, HI) through Hotwire. Charged a two week rental, for the requested dates 12-23 January 2020. Was told that there was no additional charges. However, company came back later and charge twice the daily rate because I as told that I was 3 hours past my 23 January turn in. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Rented in Amsterdam. Car had A LOT of minor damage documented on the contract. When we returned the car we did a walk around with the attendant and all was fine. A week later I get a notice for damages that were there when we first rented the car. Totally Bogus! Stay away from this company!!

Several day after we returned the car at Philadelphia airport SIXT, we received an email asking us to fill out a damage claim form for two scratches that have mentioned on the car rental contract when we pickup the car.

Just rented a van from here, and was told there was damage on the luggage rack after returning. Never even used it, and have no way to if I wanted. They immediately asked about it upon returning, very shady business here.

Rented a vehicle in Croatia and turned it in when the office was closed. Returned home and never received an invoice. When I emailed to get a copy there were unauthorized upgrade charges on my bill. I filed a complaint and was basically told too bad. I will not use them again.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had trying to rent a car. After waiting 30 minutes in line (there were 4 people ahead of me), they didn’t have the car I had reserved. Or a similar car. They weren’t even sure what car they did have. I cancelled, went to Hertz and rented what I wanted quickly.
