First, you select your business type, then fill in information about your business, property, and people. Then, you can get your quote and can begin the review and underwriting process prior to purchasing your insurance policy.

Education for Business Owners

The Bad

  • Doesn’t Cover All Perils

Doesn't Cover All Perils

Policy owners should be aware that Allstate's standard business insurance plans do not cover floods, earthquakes, or water backups (including sewer backups) and these cannot be included as add-ons to an existing policy. Rather, you have the option to purchase additional insurance policies to cover these catastrophic events individually.

The Bottom Line

Allstate is a sound insurance company to utilize overall but it excels particularly in regards to business insurance. The add-ons available to policy owners — in addition to the standard liability insurance — stand out to make for a near-comprehensive coverage for your business, protecting you from physical damage and financial loss due to employee dishonesty, identity theft, and data breaches. And Allstate's multiple policy discount can work to your benefit if you need to purchase auto insurance for uninsured drivers in your business.
