Carowinds is a thrilling amusement park found in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded by Earl Patterson Hall, Carowinds was inspired by a trip to Disneyland with a dream of unity. It sits right on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina, counting as an amusement park for both states “Where the Carolinas come together.”
Opening in 1973, Carowinds is a fun-filled park with things to do for everyone. From thrilling rides, to the haunted Scarowinds, Carowinds has it all. The “Splash” consists of Carolina Harbor, Slides and Attractions, Cabanas, and the Harbor House. As for “Rides” there are Roller Coasters, Thrill Rides, Family Rides, and Kids Rides. Carowinds is opening a new Boogie Board Racer and the Grand Carnivale with incredible shows and attractions. Carowinds even hosts a new hotel as of this year, with lodging plans for everyone to stay and play longer.
I used to live right by carowinds. The rides are very fun to go on. The lines are pretty long other than that pretty good place to go.
I love Carowinds! Go on rides In the park and when you get hot walk over to the water park! 2 parks for the price of one.
Had a blast during my visit to Carowinds. There are plenty of roller coasters for an adrenaline junky and the park was very well maintained. The Fury 325 was one of the best roller coasters that I've been on.
I am an avid roller coaster enthusiast and visit the park as much as possible. I love the world class thrill rides and will continue to return for each ride opening.
Worth visiting if you’re in the Charlotte area. It’s right on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina. Have plenty of space for sitting in shade and when it’s too hot there is a water park with some really fast slides.
My kids love the rides. Great admission packages with food additions. My kids take advantage all summer.
