Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches (BHOPB) opened in Florida during 1997. The facility includes a research and development department which allows the company to remain at the forefront of utilizing the most effective evidence based practices for the industry. BHOPB offers a large selection of program options geared toward helping individuals dealing with addiction and mental illness. All practices used are based on experience of industry professionals and guidelines established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration.

Accredited and Licensed Rehab Center
BHOPB holds accreditation with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare organizations and is licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Families. In conjunction with the accredited facility, the staff of BHOPB includes licensed doctors, therapists, and support staff experienced in working with addiction and mental illness. Attending a licensed and accredited center can give patients and their loved one’s confidence that the staff they work with are meeting high standards for healthcare services.
Offers Onsite Detox
The first step in most rehabilitation programs includes detox. BHOPB provides medically supervised detox at its facility. Patients are carefully monitored by detox staff who are able to minimize the discomforts of detox as well as provide any other medical needs patients may encounter as they go through the detox process.
Offers Several Program Options
One of the most unique aspects of BHOPB is the wide variety of program options they offer. Patients can choose to enroll in spiritual programs, holistic treatment programs, family programs, or general treatment programs which include rehab for baby boomers, gender specific programs, young adult alcohol and drug rehab, long term alcohol and drug rehab or residential alcohol and rehab. The group specific program options may provide additional comfort and support as individuals are able to go through the rehabilitation process with individuals in their peer group.
Provides Aftercare and an Alumni Program
BHOPB offers an Alumni program for individuals who have gone through rehab. The Alumni program offers patients ‘long term guidance’ as they transition back to their everyday life. The BHOPB Alumni Support Network consistently reaches out to former patients offering in-person meetings to start and then transitioning to regularly scheduled phone calls. The Support Network asks questions about behavior, experiences and feelings to ensure patients stay on track. They also reach out to one or two listed contacts to confirm the patient’s sobriety.
Along with the Alumni Network, BHOPB offers specific Aftercare services. Before discharge, recommendations are made to help ensure the patient continues in their recovery. Counseling referrals, Alcoholics Anonymous, Alumni Programs, and transitional living will be discussed with the patient prior to leaving BHOPB to ensure they have as much support as they may need to continue in their recovery.
Accepts Both HMO and PPO Insurance
The cost of rehabilitation can add up quickly so it’s important the facility is able to work with the patient’s insurance plan to mitigate costs. BHOPB accepts both HMO and PPO insurance from providers such as Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare. Prospective patients can verify their insurance coverage by visiting BHOBP’s site directly.

No Pricing Information Disclosed on Website
Like most rehabilitation centers, BHOPB does not disclose pricing information upfront. The standard procedure is to utilize insurance first and work out a payment plan once insurance has been utilized. Although this may be frustrating to some prospective patients, BHOPB is able to accept many insurance coverage options and offers guidance for financial assistance.
Accepted Insurance Providers
