Xendoo is an online accounting service platform that pairs small business owners with experienced financial professionals. Xendoo aims to help small businesses with all tax and accounting needs, and does so through a variety of service plans.
Xendoo was started by Lil Roberts, a former small business owner who felt that small businesses did not have many resources for support. Xendoo is relatively new to the FinTech industry, but the company has been built by experienced bookkeepers, accountants, and CPAs.
Xendoo clients can choose from five different plan options. With each option, payment can be billed annually or monthly. Like other accounting services, the annual option is generally cheaper. The plan pricing listed below is based on the monthly billed rate.
All plans include a dedicated bookkeeper, cash basis bookkeeping or modified accrual bookkeeping, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, monthly trend reports, and mobile app access. The following list highlights the five plan options and gives a short summary of what the plans offer:
Xendoo has its own software for customers to use. To simplify the accounting process, Xendoo partners with some of the most well-known financial software programs. The other benefit of this is that if a client chooses to leave Xendoo, they would still have access to these other online accounts.
For bookkeeping, Xendoo integrates with QuickBooks Online and Xero. Gusto is the software that Xendoo uses for payroll. When a client uses Xendoo and Gusto together, they can get the first two months of Gusto free and then receive 20 percent off of Gusto services.
The Xendoo software also has integrations with A2x, Amazon, TaxJar, Stripe, Shopify, Expensify, Bill.com, Biller Genie, Sells Funding, Stax, and even Paypal to help track sales.
Xendoo provides a one-month free trial for potential clients. This includes one month of bookkeeping, profit and loss statements, and a balance sheet. Free trials are offered on all plans except for the Venture plan. However, clients can update their plan at any time. Clients are also able to cancel their plan at any time for no additional charge. In the event of a cancellation, the client would receive Xendoo services through the end of the calendar month.
Small businesses in many different industries have used Xendoo for its accounting services. Xendoo can specifically provide expertise for businesses with an eCommerce or franchise model. As observed by the variety of plan options, “small businesses” can vary in size, revenue, and expenses. Depending on the industry of your small business, some plans might be more needful than others.
Each customer of Xendoo has an accountant that is assigned specifically to them. This makes communication simpler and helps customers feel secure. It also allows clients to have access to their accountant all year long — not just during tax season. Existing online reviews for Xendoo mention various names of accountants, showing that Xendoo is made up of a strong, professional team.
Xendoo was founded by Lil Roberts, who is a small business owner herself. The scope for Xendoo services is best suited for small businesses. The company may work with larger businesses, but may not be able to provide all services that a larger business might need.
According to the Xendoo website, the company has bookkeepers in specific states. However, it is unclear if Xendoo services are limited only to these areas, or if the company is able to provide services remotely anywhere.
The service areas listed on the Xendoo website are cities within Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, New York, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Massachusetts, Ohio, California, Utah, Maryland, Kansas, Tennessee, and Arizona.
The only downside of having plan-based services is that there is little flexibility within these plans. With some other online accounting services, the services you get are tailored exactly to your needs. In a Xendoo plan, you may pay for services that your business does not need. Xendoo claims that its plans are somewhat customizable and that some services can be added on to your plan at a price.
