We have been with Vivint 3 years. They are an acceptable company, but certainly not outstanding. We were misinformed @ the cost of permanent roof removal and also the time it takes to get the system up and running. Their customer service is frustrating, long wait times to talk to a rep., and we end up communicating by e-mail. It takes at least a day to receive a reply e-mail from Vivant, and every time we reply to them that's an additional day's time. We're trying to have our roofer communicate with Vivint and there is no direct # or specified person to call, access is only through the 877 #. Also, we're saving little money with solar and, looking back, it hasn't been worth the effort for us.

Our electric bill with SDG&E was about $400 now we buy our electricity from Vivint and our bill has never been over $175. We have had no problems and never had to pay a single penny to have it installed. Now we sold our home and transferred the account with the new buyers, with no problems!

I went solar with vivint in 2016 and love it. I would do it again. PGE charges too much for power and vivint’s Program makes it easy to go solar and save money. Both Vivint and our rep Forrest have been great to work with.

I started the process with Vivint over the summer. It took about 3-4 months start to finish. My sales manager Thiago was awesome. He explained how the system worked and stayed in contact throughout the entire process. Vivint even covered tree removal for some trees in my back yard. Highly recommend

Only had the sales guy come to our door. Me and a neighbor played with him a bit just because he is sales. I actually was the nicer of us two. But the sales guy tried to tell us that the way it works is they take the average of my elec bill today and that will be what i pay from now on to Dominion and any power put back into the grid will allow me to get paid by Dominion. Therefore i only really pay my whole bill about 6 months out of the year while i have the AC on ant the other months i pay my average but also get a check back of about $30 plus per month. He also said they do not charge anything to install or for the materials. All of this is because the government (sometimes state and sometimes federal) requires Dominion to be 15% renewable and this is how they want to do it. All expenses paid by Dominion. My neighbor friend has a unique way of irritating sales people so before they got into it physically (neighbor is 75 at least) the sales guy said he was not going to stay any longer. And that's the interaction.

Super happy with my system. Signed up through Thiago B who has worked with a lot of people in my neighborhood. Sign up to system turn on took 3 Months. Only gripe is that National Grid didn't allow one more panel I wanted to even out the panels over my garage.

I was not in a great hurry to get solar, so the long lead time was not a problem. My sales rep, Brandi, did a great job telling me upfront about the long lag time. She still answers any questions I have. It was perfect for me: no capital investment on my part and a big reduction in my energy bill. I highly recommend them.

The system has been consistently producing what our salesman told us it would produce and our average bill has been $8.96 with Rocky Mountain Power, which is the minimum charge. We have saved thousand of dollars so far! This may be the best investment we have made on our home!!

I have had Vinvint solar for several years I have had no problems with the panels, my problem is that I refered possible new customers to them one has had the service for a year My review page or whatever it,s called has the name of one of these people on there 3 times my supposedly representative put them on . So far I have spoken to several supposedly customer representatives that said no problem I will get back to you. Well all I can say for the company is don,t expect to get any check and any return calls even though the names are on your so called site or whatever on the computer.

The salesman was great. Every time I call him he either is able to answer my question, or has someone call me with an explanation. My Solar panels were installed last November, 2017. They still have not been hooked up, so they are not in use. The salesman does not have an answer to this problem. He had a Supervisor call me and he was just full of bull (lots of talk, no answers). All I got from the Supervisor was that a lot of problems are caused by Nevada Power, and Vivint Solar has no way of getting them to complete the project. From the reviews of others it seems customers from Eastern states are much happier with Vivint Solar that are customers from Western states

No sure what you are talking about, Vivint does not charge for the installation or the equipment, all you pay is the PPA for the amount of energy you produce. We did have some problems with the length of time for installation but since then they are saving me $200 to $300 per month as I had prior PG & E bills from 350 to 650 per month as we use a large amount of electricity. Several of my neighbors also got Vivint and they are also getting great savings. Now my PG&E bill is about $20 (also paying for 75 % of my gas). I highly reccomend Vivint!! Monte Beers

We went the PPA option. Everything we were told, was true. I see some people complaining about the Net metering. This has nothing to do with Vivian. The point is to save money on your power bill, not make money by selling excess power back to the power company. They are not in the business of buying power. We have saved money every month. we are very happy with the service and would recommend it to anyone.

I signed up with Vivint 3 years ago, I had no issues with getting it installed and up and running in a timely manner. My only complaint is the monitoring system on their website, it totally sucks. The information about your system only gives a monthly, last 7 day's and total production since system has been in up and running. I would like to see a daily production count. Every time I call them about an issue about the website, I get "well we are still working on it", well if I was paying someone to develop my website and it took this this long, they would be fired. On the upside, I am not giving my money to PG&E.

We opted for the 20 year lease contract in June of 2015. With engineering and permits, the installation process was reasonable. We were up and running in August. After the first year of service, we received a $90 rebate from Edison. No increase in price for the second year. I'm really pleased.
