I was always informed what the next part of the process was. All the installers were very professional, courteous, and friendly. The equipment is the most top of the line we could have gotten for our budget.

Didn’t go as quickly as I would have liked but I am glad it is done. It took a long time for the permitting to get taken care of. It is probably going to happen no matter who you go with. I think it is the city. My installer was my cousin. He stands behind the panels. I trust them. I am happy with the installation. The loan was a little more than I would have liked.

So far it is doing what is should be doing. I haven’t had any issues. I think it is working great. It took a little longer than I wanted to install it. There were a few issues. The company that did the installation didn’t do everything to code so they had to come back multiple times so it took like two months before the system could be turned on. Customer service is good about answering me for whatever I need.

Excellent overall experience--from planning through finished product, they did a great job. They designed a system to meet my needs and installed the panels in a way that is very pleasing. Unlike many solar systems where the tracks are sticking out from the edges and pipes are all over the roof, Sunpower delivers a super tight install. The system is delivering excellent results and we are very pleased.

Our neighbor referred them because they were happy with them. We also researched and found they have the best equipment. It is easy to use. We did have an issue where the reporting wasn't correct at first but they came out in about a week and made sure everything was reporting correctly. I thought it was great that they responded right away. I am pleased.

I like the way it looks and I think the way it functions is very good right now. It went very well when they put it up, I was amazed. Right now the app is saying that one or more devices isn't working properly and I texted them and emailed them and I haven't heard nothing yet. I'm still producing energy but the app is saying something that it shouldn't be saying or something is really not working.

When my system had some issues, I contact customer service and they gave me very quick responses and took care of me. They cared about my needs and fixed everything. The installation went smoothly and the installers were amazing. They did everything as planned and went above and beyond. One thing I wish I had was access to the panel level statistics that tell me if a panel is underperforming or if something's gone wrong. I don't like having to rely on someone at the company to find something that is wrong because I'd rather report that myself.

Rating a 5 on two parts. Part 1 is based on the work of Freedom Solar and their representative, Jonathan B, that helped in providing information, working the paperwork, and the installation. Great Service! Part 2 is on SunPower itself. Based on reviews of their products, seemed to be the best quality for the cost. I was interested in making sure the components all work together which is where SunPower excels. Additionally, solar panels degrade. SunPower's are slower on the degradation than many others and the output warranty ensures that standard is met.

From the start everyone has been very helpful. They took the time to explain the process. My son was helping me with the process and the salesman was willing to confer with him over the phone. Products are very good but watch who you hire to put in your SunPower system. The contractor we had did not communicate well and did not have a good knowledge of SunPower's rebates. We actually did our own rebate after our contractor told us we did not qualify. Contractor also cut through our electronic dog fence and never repaired it. Very poor contractor but the SunPower product is excellent up to this point

We are totally glad we chose SunPower as there were several Solar companies that spoke to us but only Sun Power could answer all our questions with very knowledgeable sales agent who explained everything in detail for us oldies who had trble understanding and really appreciate all our service contacts that followed were just as courteous and professional. It was easy from the beginning. After interviewing 4 solar installation companies I settled on Sunpower. They were the most honest in answering my questions and were thorough in explaining the system and monthly costs. Installation was quick and smooth. The system looks integrated on my roof, like it belongs there. The electrical systems parts were neatly assembled on the backside of my home. All in all it was very neatly done. The whole experience was easier than I would have imagined.

Sunpower has one of the best panels on the market today. The panels i had put on my roof are working great. The problem i have is with the monitoring. My system was upgraded on march 16th without my knowlege and my system stopped reporting to the monitoring website. When I reported that I could not check my system I was told that a new firmware was installed and I needed to power cycle the pvs6 component and that should fix the issue. I was also told that I needed to create a new login on the new website to see the monitoring system. I created the new account and installed the app on my phone. I do not like this new monitoring website or system. I can not see that any new information and the site is constanly not allowing me to sign in. The old site was always available and I could see everything on the first page. I would like to see the per panel stats to see how each one is working not just the total system output. To sum up I like the solar system but I dislike the monitoring and customer support.

They are that good. The work is clean , looks great. Hadn't had it one year yet but so far so good. I have the Sunpower 415 watt system. Panels come with inverter built onto back of panels. Pretty cool to know that i have the same panels that powered the solar plane. To sum it up , Sunpower is just kick ass. The team for installation was from Freedom Solar. Great product that is reliable. This is our second purchase of SunPower products. The first was to reduce our carbon footprint some 10 years ago, this time I wanted to add battery back-up and needed additional panels to ensure the batteries would be fully charged. It works very well here in Florida and I don't really understand why Solar is not required for new buildings given the amount of sun we enjoy, great way to conserve energy.

I actually interviewed 3 companies and the SunPower Maxeon monocrystalline panels were the best product offered, because of their high efficiency rating and durability along with the 25 year warranty on the system. Jason the sales rep, provided detailed information on the products along with my concerns on batteries and the competition which I verified. Solar technology continues to evolve and improve, I believe it is important to be as close to the leading edge when making purchasing decisions seeing these panels will be utilized for many years.

I had a permitting issue that came up during install and sunpower denied my plans, my rep Jared L took it upon himself to resolves said permit issues and sunpower installed solar( so in theory those issues had to be resolved in order to move forward) come almost a year later I am getting letters from the city saying permits were never approved. my rep also scammed me out of $1000 visa rebate card. sunpower just tries to outlast customer complaints untill you get tired of getting nowhere. Never trust Jard L or any sunpower rep! Crooks! Liars! Dishonest!

SunPower Installed panels on my home late 2016...overall, I have been pleased, but repeated failed Inverters have become a big problem, as I cannot get them serviced from any local SunPower dealer, or the Company themselves. I ve had an Issue going on since August 2023, and resolution is nowhere in sight. Repeated promises for looking into my Issue &a phone callfrom both Boss Energy in Charleston SC, and Sunpower themselves go Unanswered! the telephone only seems to work one way. I would NOT recommend SunPower to anyone, as the service after the sale is apparently non existent

I would not recommend Sunpower, we live in an HOA and they did not read the form and provided incomplete information, and no follow up or advisement on the progress. We had to inform Sunpower that the local utility had approved the work. We have decided to go in a different direction. If they can not provide a complete HOA Permit Form with backup documentation then going forward will repeat this trend. Although there are good reviews below, this review is our experience.

Sunpower provides no explanation, no estimate of when the system will be activated. TERRIBLE customer service. SunPower is unresponsive several times with my experience. I actually had to report them to the BBB for lack of communication and response. First, when they installed the solar panels, I had my home inspection that failed, and they needed to come back. Not a big deal, but they took forever to comeback, and I had to hound them to come back out and they had forgot the issues that needed corrected and took 3 visits to get it correct. Second, when I had a roof leak they did not respond for weeks and then it turned to months before I heard from them. I had to get my own contractor and fix the leak myself. I plan on selling my home and getting solar again and will not be using SunPower due to their lack of customer service. Also, my co-worker used SunPower and had a similar experience as I did. You can have a great product, but if you can respond or fix issues in a timely manner then the product doesn't matter.

Installation took almost 2 years. Mostly due to engineering errors by sunpower. System fas been operational for 4 months. I paid for 32 425 panels and am expecting all 32 to work at optimum. Not what we are getting. 4 panels produce very low numbers because they were installed next to the chimney and are shaded. Another engineering error and when Ive requested they move them Sunpower tells me to hire someone and pay to move them myself!! I paid almost $50k cash for my system and their customer service is horrible. I have also contacted corporate and the never responded.

Positives -Good quality. They follow up through the process. Personalized assistance. Negative. Process took longer than expected; 8 months total. The app is very limited on information in comparison with the sample that the sales representative showed to me. For example, it does not give you information in production per panel, and tells you how much power your system produce, but not how much power you use. It was the most expensive quote that I found. OVERALL, it was a good experience, and they pushed back the payments scheduled until the panels were installed, but the app is way more limited than the sample that it was presented to me. If I knew that ahead of time, that was going to be a deal breaker.

Customer service and communication before and during our install was horrible. We never heard or saw our sales person again, even after multiple calls and messages. It's all about the money, just like all the other companies out there selling solar. It took forever for our install to happen and we kept getting lied to about the permits etc. The first try at putting our structure up was unapproved by the county and told to take down and rebuild as it was all incorrect. We still have a long trench that wasn't filled in correctly and has now sunken into our yard. Dirt was promised to be tapped down so this wouldn't happen. There was also a huge misunderstanding about the tax "rebate". It isn't a rebate, it is a tax credit, which means we have to come up with the cash to put on our loan so our payments don't go up. For all the money we have invested in our system, the customer service was not matching. Our system seems to be doing the job but we overbuilt our system and thank goodness for that because if we wouldn't have and gone by what was recommended, I'm sure we would still have a PG&E bill monthly.

I had an electrical wire that had hung down too low and the local installer was not able to install the panels, but they got right on the process to get the local utility company to come in and fix the line. Then they came back as promised on the scheduled date and installed it. It was great.

Installation was rough. It required multiple visits the first day and it required multiple scheduling attempts, mostly because the dispatch team would not call and would only text for some weird reason to try to schedule the installation. The technology is awesome, the equipment is great, and it produces power, so it does everything it needs to do, but their project management team and scheduling team is not to the same level as their sales team.

They showed up when they said they were going to, they cleaned up every time they were here, and one of the guys even cleaned out our gutters. We've been very happy with everything.

1 day install. I can track my generation on the app. It's been one year since install and my power bills have reduced by over half. I have a 2k sq ft home with a large pool. Low true up bill, if you know how to work the power bill system.

There were issues and my installation was rescheduled several times and When I called regarding the scheduled date I was told it was not scheduled and I would be waiting two more week. This was unacceptable after already being rescheduled three times and only finding out there were delays when I called a few days to confirm the installation. Second issue my system has been in for 6 months and has never produced the rated kw rating at best is only produced 82% of what I was told it would produce

Process was very efficient and as described. No false promises. You get what they say you will get. I would recommend anyone interested to pay it off and take the tax credit instead of surrendering it to SunPower.

I have had Sun Power panels for a year now. Every month I am sending a lot of generated power back to the grid. Too bad the per KWH they pay me for the power I send back to the grid is not what they charge me to use their power . But that’s a complaint against the power company and not SunnPower. No issues with Sun Power at all. No callbacks, nothing . With the cost of using power from the supplier company going up every year I feel using solar panels was a good decision.

It looks good, works, great for electricity. They are a little more expensive than on the other systems I priced, but I accept the higher price for the better appearing panels and the quality of the install. You can't see visible wires or the electrical tubing outside of the installation.
