If you want to get solar in California, this is the place. I talked to so many companies and this place beat them all by far in customer service, warranties, pricing, financing options, and energy production from their panels. I've had them for a week and the solar panels are generating far more energy than they had projected AND they've offered to install something I asked for at no extra cost...just to be nice! Couldn't recommend them more highly.

Solar Optimum customer service was excellent from the start and the installation went very smoothly. However, when PGE sent word that the system was approved to operate, it could not be turned on. After 10 days of back and forth calls and emails, a service crew was dispatched today who determined that some connectors were not hooked up! We hope there will be no further problems.

Excellent Co. The CEO is very active and not far away from the phone. The System was installed in 2015 and pid for itself in nearly 4 years. Now we enjoy free electricity and well as fueling my Chevy bolt ALL electric car. I have no idea what gas prices are. Most importantly they sized the consumption accurately and the follow up maintenance and service haas been excellent. I highly recommend Solar Optimum.

We did a lot of research prior to buying solar panels and finally chose Solar Optimum based on quality of product, 25 yr guarantee on panels, and pricing. Salesman was very knowledgeable and did not oversell or makes empty promises. The final number of panels sold to us was spot on for our comfort and the end of year true up costs were almost $0, We've had the panels for over two years and I'm happy to report we've had not one problem or issue, panels working fine, no roof leaks. Great product, great company!

Solar optimum offers the best post-installation warranty as well as premium solar panels. It is a nation wide company and the initial estimate may be off for some individuals. For example, every city has different requirements to fire setbacks and estimating the maximum number of panels on the roof may not be trivial. But the company is making efforts to improve the service and trying to make every customers happy.

We interviewed a total of three companies when we decided to put solar panels on our roof. Solar optimum was the only company to show up at the originally scheduled time. They were the only company that gave us a bid that was complete and easy to read and follow. There were also the most cost effective. On the day of installation a team came and was done within the day. They are true professionals in every manner. I would highly recommend them.

They were professional, honest and have the best product. We have not had an electric bill since installation. SDG&E owes us money. No problems at all with the system since installation 2 years ago. Also their 25 year warranty is awesome. They have been around along time and should continue to be. They are not a fly by night outfit where their warranty means nothing. They get 5 stars.

After shopping and comparing solar system with other competing solar companies, Solar Optimum was our best choice. We have no regrets getting the solar system from Solar Optimum. Solar Optimum has been outstanding! Before Solar Optimum, my electric bill ran from $300-$600 per month. Solar optimum has been a work in progress for me. At first they were incredibly informative and easy to work with. There were a few minor design tweaks here and there, regarding how the shade around our house would be affecting the solar panels. We were able to figure out the best solution. Moving forward, after the design was completed, it took them an unreal amount of time to get the permits for the work. I had emailed multiple people in different departments, asking for someone to give me any updates on my system, and why it was taking so long to get approved/installed. Apparently someone had dropped the ball on actually filing for ALL the necessary permits, thus pushing the job completion date farther behind. I unfortunately had to call the city building department myself to get answers and relay them to solar optimum before they would listen to me. Their excuse was "we didn't know Pasadena had this 'extra' permit needed to complete the work." Once that was all sorted out, the work began. As far as the actual work of installing the panels, they did an outstanding job! Completed the work incredibly fast, and left no mess. Since then, they have been easy to get a hold of whenever I've had any questions regarding my system, and how to properly monitor and maintain it. I only gave this review 4 stars because of the lack of urgency and professionalism during the permit process stage.

I installed 25 Panasonic solar panels with Enphase energy inverters in August, 2019. Solar Optimum was great all the way through the process. They were quick to respond with all communications. They quickly got the permits from the city. The price was very competitive. The installation was very quick (took 3 days). The only issue found by the city inspector was to change the labels on the electrical boxes. The system has worked great without any problems!

They made the process of getting solar panels very easy. I don't think about it now, except that I have a much lighter conscience about our pollution footprint. Anyone with a sunny roof should at least call them and check out how much it would cost for their specific situation. In our case, we pay less overall on energy now (monthly bill from the city plus the monthly loan payment for the solar panels) than we used to pay (when we just had a monthly bill from the city). The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that our city dragged their feet on giving final approval to activate the system, and solar optimum didn't follow up quite as attentively as they could have. Once I called about the delay, they got the approval and activation done quickly.

Solar Optimum worked closely with us through a lengthy approval process with the City Design Board, due to the house being on the registry. It was the first time a registry home had solar installed and they made sure the visual integrity of the house and neighborhood were preserved according to the required standards. Im happy with Solar Optimum. Got it in July 2019. So far everything is working and producing just fine. They are upgrading my monitoring system with a new cellular modem for free in place of the wifi it was connected to. Wifi always up & down but with the new system, always connected and able to check on system to see how much its producing on each solar panel.

It is not hard to come by a Solar Company that you want to hire to optimize on the tax credit but here you deal with real people who are responsive and get the job done. My experience with Solar Optimum very good. Everyone was so helpful. The techs were polite and considerate as I am a person of many questions. They always arrived when they said they would. They were very careful to clean up the work area and took great respect of my home, like they were never there. It took 3 days to install the panels and battery as initially promised. On the day of the county inspection the lead electrician was there to answer questions and make sure everything was in order, passed on first inspection. It has been 5 months since the install and everything works perfectly.

The employees were professional and everything went flawlessly. the job was completed in tow days after waiting for permits and SCE. I had one minor issue with the enphase unit (connectivity with my home wifi but they came out and fixed the issue with and upgrade. I would recommend to anyone.

After retirement I moved up to be closer to my kids. We loved the home and the neighborhood but were not used to these rolling blackouts that we had heard of. Sometimes it was only for an hour or two but other times would last hours into days. The generator we had worked but was noisy as heck and required constant refueling. We finally decided to look into solar and battery since some of our neighbors had already gone that route.
