I unfortunately had a poor experience with Blue Raven. First they did not appear to understand the local regulations where I live. The installation was done incorrectly per local regulations and required multiple visits for the company to finally get the set up acceptable to the village. It was months from the installation to when the system was operational. Then this winter, after heavy snows, ice and snow slid off the panels onto my car parked in the driveway causing thousands of damage to my vehicle. I emailed Blue Raven, and first they said they had never heard of this issue, and then stopped responding. Looking on line, this is a well known issue in states with snow, with solutions available. Their ignorance of this is unaccpeptable. I would strongly urge you to look for a different company that knows what they are doing

Review updated: Horrible service. I had contracted and at the time, I had just installed a hot tub. through the winter before it was installed My bills were higher, so I got a quote from another company which was more panels. about a month and a half before install, I sent my rep an updated bill to which he blew me off saying it was no problem. Then it was installed, and I had to turn it on, connect to enphase and learn system myself. The rep sent me thermostats paid for out of his pocket, which is kind of shady, and they said they were going to send someone to install which hasnt happened. They are now saying I have to install 6 additional panels to get to 100% offset. Th rep is now telling me things like hybrid systems are good, but non of this was discussed before. I also had concerned that the panels are not lined up in straight lines, which my wife and neighbors have made comments, and again the rep blew me off . To me, the rep is either incompetent since I now have to purchase more, or just greedy and didn't care which is why he blew me off. The company has ceased to respond for requests to make this right or remove it and the loan. DO NOT contract with Blue Raven.

I said I wanted solar panels but they insisted on an hour presentation when I only wanted the details of how much. Then I was told it was a 15 year loan when in reality it was 25 years. I‚Äôm a teacher so I said I could only do this during summer. They said don‚Äôt worry it‚Äôll get done and we will do it all. Not only was it not done during summer. They also never let me know when things went through like my permit. I did all the work on that side of it. Constantly updating them on the progress of my panels. Then inspections and install had to be a week day. How can I get a sub in my class mid pandemic? On top of that you told me I wouldn‚Äôt need to because it‚Äôll be done during summer. Constantly getting calls to schedule a week day install until finally they agreed to a weekend one and then tried to make me be the bad guy in the situation. Install guys were amazing. My contact guy was awful. He even tried to ask if he could stay in my house while I‚Äôm at work during the install. I‚Äôm going to let a guy I don‚Äôt even like into my home without me? No way. Awful service. Then my friend got solar panels from a local place. Way cheaper that I‚Äôm pay. Didn‚Äôt cost him a car to go green. If I were to do this again I‚Äôd go with any other company. This was an awful experience I hope no one else has to go through. And for some reason y‚Äôall keep asking me for these reviews. I‚Äôve given you feed back two other times. How many times can I say you‚Äôre not a great company to work with till you leave me alone?

Installation looks good and quality of service was good. However when initially approached I was told the solar panels would cover 110% of the energy my house uses. That doesn't seem to be the case. Before the panels were installed my bill was $200-$220 a month during the summer. This past summer and the summer prior my bill has been $120-$140. So in my mind it actually only covered less than 50%. Not worth the money spent in my opinion.

The Solar is just a decieve you will never save anything, I sent blue ravin my yearly bill to send me the best design for my usage, however I have choosen a bigger design for the future incase I have finished the basement and got another furnace. But when in the summer in Utah the sun reaches 37 degrees celcius and I can see the consumption exceed what the solar save, however I installed a smart thermostate. so no difference in using solar you are just paying more!!!!!

The crew installing the panels were very efficient, friendly and willing to take the time to explain what they were doing when asked. Cory, who came out to install the cell kit for internet access was very knowledgeable, saw that only 11 of the 28 panels were being seen by the software and took the time to fix the problem. He did a great job of explaining the apt for monitoring the system and explained every screen leaving us with a wonderful feeling that did the right thing going with solar and Blue Raven. Despite two inches of snowfall the night before, the Blue Raven crew arrived on time, cleared the snow from the roof, and completed the installation before dark. The crew was friendly and courteous. The crew leader found that some roof vents were not as shown on the installation plan. He was able to modify the placement of solar panels to a configuration much nicer in appearance. We could not be more pleased.

I have been quite happy with Blue Raven from the beginning. The salesperson, Adam has tried to be on top of everything and keep me posted along the way. The install started yesterday, but the wrong equipment, not all the stuff or the wrong stuff was sent. They did what they could but were also short staffed, so it couldn't be finished. Now I have to wait to get back on the schedule to get it finished and the inspection done. The installers were awesome - so professional and kept me informed of what was happening. I would have gone 5 star if this were just for the people I've dealt with, but since it includes the company as a whole and their goof up yesterday, I am going with a 4 but would actually do a 4.5 if I could.

Blue Raven was great from start to finish. They were extremely helpful throughout the process regarding initial contact, system design and financing. I was really impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the installation crew--they were quick and competent, and really seemed to like their jobs! In all, I could not believe how fast the process went from start to finish. The only delay has been PGE--we are still waiting for them to come and link up the bidirectional metering. But throughout Blue Rave has been on top of things and very attentive to detail.

Installation team was courteous and professional. They arrived on time and installed the system with no interruption of electrical service to the house. During the installation we had several questions which the team answered right away. The cleanup around the house was OK but found a number of pieces of wire and metal conduit and clamps outside around the house, about 6 items in all. Not to do with the installation team but the system was installed 5 days ago, and we don't know if the system is working or when it will be working and have had no other contact from Blue Heaven about what if anything needs to happen and when? Overall Good experience!

I would highly recommend Blue Raven for anyone interested in pursuing solar install but concerned about upfront costs or unsure of the process.

While it sounds too good to be true, so far so good. The estimate, the planning, the install, etc. everything so far has gone great. We have been making electricity for a couple of weeks so far. Sales Manager, Install Crew were great. Process was VERY easy, Blue Raven Solar took care of everything. They also pay your 1st 18 months of your solar panel loan and the first check arrived without any call center calls. Everything has been as promised, as discussed and as planned. Very happy so far.

They were very respectful and informative about what they were doing and the process. **** Also very pleased with the way it looks **** I was fearful the panels would be an eye sore but they match nicely with our roof and our house being on a slight hill, they do not stick out much at all. The installation crew was absolutely wonderful. They answered all our questions and "bent over backwards" to make sure the installation was perfect. I particularly want to praise Henry. The only drawback to the whole process was seeming lack of communication in the office. No one told the installers that they would have to remove my solar hot water panels as part of the installation process (this was included in the contract). Removal of these panels and repair of the roof resulting from that removal delayed the installation a full day. The morning of the installation of the PV panels I received a phone call saying that the paperwork needed to initiate the inspection process had, inadvertently, been delayed in delivery and the scheduled inspection had to be moved out. Then, while the installers were just putting on the mounting brackets, I received an email saying that the installation was completed had passed inspection! After I replied noting the error I received a phone call apologizing for this error. Later I received an email saying the inspection would take place on the following day - the day that, just that morning, had been rescheduled a few weeks out. I replied noting the error. I received another email apologizing again saying the later inspection date had been entered in the system but that the original date had not been removed. The bottom line here is that the sales people and especially the installation crew are just amazing and can't be given enough praise, but the operations at the office leave something to be desired.

Blue Raven folks were courteous, professional, and informative from start to finish. Don explained financial and system details thoroughly. The company took care of all requirements -- recommending an excellent roofing contractor, getting permits, HOA approval, and installation of the system. They kept us informed of status via email throughout. The installers were professional, quick, and very helpful explaining all the system including setup of new smart thermostats. They also were diligent in cleaning up after. We will gladly refer others to this team.

Blu Raven Solar has thus far met all the schedules they have set with me and have been communicating with me fully throughout the process. Sales, Mike F was excellent. He stayed involved through the entire process as we had some issues where the home builder had not pre-wired our home for solar. Instead of waiting for the builder to do it correctly, Blue Raven did it themselves. They had extremely knowledgeable, skilled professionals install our system. In reading the very few bad reviews, Blue Raven reaches out and makes the situation right. Our system is not up and running yet, until electric company and inspection is completed, but I am confident if there are any issues, they will stand by their work. Highly recommended.

People were kind, and informational. The set up was quick, and the installation was clean, and they did an excellent job making the panels part of my roof rather than an eye sore. I would use them again and have recommended them to others. (just to mention the 9 star below: I never give a 10 because somewhere somehow there is always someone that might impress me more. However BRS will be hard to beat).

Let me start by saying that the customer service I received has been more than excellent better than I could have expected anytime I needed help they help me when out of their way the rep will help me also stayed in contact to make sure everything was good and working well it was so good I referred my mom who also got solar panels I believe in the company and all the representatives in the people who have helped me I would recommend this company anytime thank you for all your help

We have had the system installed for 6 months now. We are enjoying the benefits of a shrinking power bill!! The federal tax incentive and local incentive made this a no brainer. Plus it’s a really good thing for the environment. We were able to refinance the house after the panels were installed and they valued the system more than we paid for it! First off my system just completed the city inspection so it is not turned on currently. However, our sales rep Tyler was amazing answering all of our questions and helping us out whenever needed. The installation was even more amazing! Spent time and quality installing system and even knocked down two hornets nest when asked to. These three guys were rockstars! Provided tips and insight to get the most out of our system. Can’t wait to turn on and go fully solar!

So far so good with the installation, they did show up 45 minutes early which I was not expecting but the installation was done in the time frame they had mentioned, the electrical boxes how ever took quite a bit longer, between three three and a half hours longer, I will not know if there are any problems or issues for a while because of the virus I cannot get any kind of inspection done until the City reopens so I may write more of a review after that process and I have a chance to see if everything is working correctly. But the installation was done in the time frame and so far so good?
